Except the game's mood. The menus and general theme still don't invoke a ton of feeling. Load BO2 and straight loading into the game and there's already a clear mood and it's amazing. Halo also did this quite well.
Nah. It seems like the new MW3. Same unlock challenge mechanics and similar guns and atmosphere. Added operators (which cod has had). No kill streaks so who cares about no sbmm lol. Barley and modes. It’s also not as smooth of a game. I also don’t think it looks as good. Plus there is still lots of micro transactions that even allow you to advance in the game quicker = pay to win. Also has a battle pass like every game in the last 5 years. It’s not a bad game but I see why it will probably fail. It’s mediocre compared to other options like COD, R6, Valorant, etc.

I saved clips of actual hackers flying around the map. Not to mention the aiming always just felt wrong on that game and others seemed to have the same issue. That's not a good comparison. Titanfall 2 is an amazing game that got overshadowed by Battlefield and COD, but people realized how amazing it is after the success of Apex. Xdefiant is just trash, there are many balance issues and stuff like hit registration makes it a frustrating experience.
The Netcode sucks, the Phantoms trick you into thinking the TTK is too slow, and the animations are so stiff, you are under the impression you have to sweat even harder to kill one guy.
I wouldn’t say it’s over for xdefiant, they just need to release some good content, maps and challenges for camos, skins etc. and also keep on top of constant content release to bring back players. BO6 is around the corner and doesn’t seem like it would last all that long anyway

I like the game I like how it feels like a old school cod and there’s no SBMM it’s a teamwork centered game but not too the point where you can’t just pop off on your own you definitely can so it works great for both play styles I hope the best for the game and the devs hopefully we can turn it around
I dropped XDefiant after a week when it released it was fun at first but after few days it became too sweaty for my liking and it feels outdated to compare to the finals a game I play and black ops 6 is doing the hole new movement system
Xdefiant is far from sweaty. And im on the older side. I actually stopped playing because it wasnt filling that competitive void for me. Bo6 may have issues but the skill gap is through the roof. I love it .

i loved XD all through preseason and Most of season 1.. then the big update came out where they broke so many things. I struggled through all but the last 2 weeks of season 2 before I called it quits. I logged in after season 2 but at that point I had switch back over the mw3 with all the sweats. Had they fixed the season 1 mid season update I believe a lot of people would have stayed..
Even though the game is sweaty i went back to it after months I'm actually enjoying it putting the right attachments on my gun and everything and getting ti sweat back had been making the game fun for me so ngl I'd feel a bit upset to see this game go and i actually think the grinding for camos is rewarding in my opinion
well here is what happened they would do nothing about the hacking and cheating and sat on there hands and let them run wild and taking advantage of bugs net code issues bullet hit marker problems so Ubisoft has only themselves to blame for not taking the issues more seriously and it will cause layoffs and a major blow to there reputation as a company

I like Xdefiant. I have peace of mind that the games are not rigged like COD. I can actually outplay people without getting nerfed mid match with some crap EOMM design. Sure the netcode needs work but the game is a success in my opinion. Wish they had a BR mode.

This game has 3 major problems 1. The Sniper flinch is out of this world 2. You die even if you are behind a thick wall 3. The match making takes way to long
Sniper flinch is fine imo, but yes they need to fix the issue of dying around walls and tweak the matchmaking a bit so it’s faster. They should also nerf shotguns some.
I think the games main problem is the lack of content. And the horrible demands to access some of that content 700k XP per new fraction is horrible and the 15 guns total in the game is also bland.
Whaaaat? I got to 131k/700k exp in my first 4 hours after installing love that feature billion times better than unlocking a new operator for 10 bucks or having to grind battle pass for some Ingame money to buy em I rather grind it and stop whining about the lack of content…

It’s a great game just started playing, if there’s not 20k players now there doing something right, the lobby Que is 10x faster than call of duty. Much better game can actually have fun and not potentially break your hand because you keep punching holes in shit.
It’s all about the brand😵💫 xdefiant has recently added new game modes including search and destroy, new weapons (shotgun, smg, sniper, assault rifle) and new skins for characters and weapons through the battle pass. There are a few issues though like trading kills all the time, getting killed around walls, matchmaking can be quite slow at times. But overall it is a very fun and free game. I’ve spent $10 on the game for the 1st battle pass and haven’t spent a dime since. You get over 1000 coins in each battle pass which is what it costs to buy the next one
I dont what people are making up but Mark Rubin came out with an update on next season and the rumors going on and he said the game could be better and they are working on it but player numbers are far from dying. People believe anything on media, I choose to believe the person who is producing the game 😂❤
Played the demo in the day. Was ok but full of cheaters but never played it on release as I love Helldivers 2 way too much. Plus replaying old B1 and BV along with now cutting my time in MW3 down to have time to even bother at all now.

The hit detection is off I shouldn’t have to unload a whole mag into someone to kill them don’t matter what gun I’m using 5 shots or less should kill someone . Basically every ar does 20-25 dmg depending on the attachments the player has 100 health…. So I’m guessing your aim is not as good as you think and to say no matter what gun 5 shots should kill is just stupid everyone would run around with the fastest mp rapid fire and go nuts you would go 2-36 in the lobby lmao

It's only bad because they have shit abilities like the Spider Bot, or the Shield. They haven't fixed basic gun mechanics that are overtly used in consistent matches: Snipers to be exact. The TTK seems fine, but the BO4 corner jump exploit is just ruining it
Spider bots are going to be removed soon. Snipers have had huge nerfs through the addition of large flinch increases for only snipers and slight ads time increases. Many pther guns and abilities have also been nerfed and buffed to where the balance is much better than a few months ago at launch. The only thing not changed much is bunny hopping and corner jumping.
I feel so bad for the xDefiant devs. They all left activision after making MW2. Then they form this new company and release xDefiant and as a way to sabotage them, Activision releases a COD with THEIR OLD NOSTALGIC MAPS. Ridiculous

I played it for a while, there’s just nothing to do. All you can do is level grind but if you want to play just to see number go up play gta online or something you can have reasonable goals in. Gold grind is nothing if it’s just a competition for who can play the most. It’s not a fun experience either.
They have 2 chances left IMO. Season 2 needs to drop with significant netcode improvements and bugfixes. If that fails, it's all in on season 3. If they get no traction from either of those content drops, then its GG WP.
I played defiant in the open beta I had high hopes for it, but the more I played it just didn’t feel balanced to me I really wish it would’ve made it though hopefully it can make it but it’s a game that I won’t play because it’s unbalanced

The unfortunate problem is that free means xdefiant isn't making as much money off it. They could probably sell more skins if they were cheaper or more players to sell to. The monetization model likely needs revision for the game to profit well enough for ubisoft to be happy with it
I absolutely love XDefiant but I don’t play at all mainly because there is no incentive to play, the battlepass which should always be the main incentive to play a F2P game is absolute trash with boring player skins and weapon skins and I’d never even think of spending money in the item shop because even in that the bundles they release are nowhere near worth the money.
Me and my friends were literally top with 95%+ win rates. I had 8 buddies on the kill leaderboard and if the and 2 of them which were top 10 and we are all ps. If we stopped playing the game then it obviously got boring 😂😂😂
The MM sucks especially with a party. The monetisation is awful and it takes forever to unlock new agents forcing you to pay up. And the game has a lack of polish in general. A company like Ubisoft should be able to pull off a game like this with all its resources, but they’ve just dropped the ball on this one and I am expecting this game to die off by 2025.

The beginning of the end for me and that game was when they almost completely altered the camo grind. Me as a casual player enjoyed the old grind but they only looked at sweaty try hards and how they were no lifing the game and blazed through it and change the grind.

The game is an MWIII copy with operators and new maps 😭. Unlock mechanics and guns are so similar. Same arcade shooter. But less modes to play

Took too long to make this game and now releasing it before COD 6. They should have stuck with The Division: Heartland.
They need to release a shitload of skins and make them dirt cheap. It's the only way I'd consider giving them money for cosmetics.

They must not be adding good content to the game if a literal free game that plays like call of duty has less players than a game that cost money.
It’s all about the brand😵💫 xdefiant has recently added new game modes including search and destroy, new weapons (shotgun, smg, sniper, assault rifle) and new skins for characters and weapons through the battle pass. There are a few issues though like trading kills all the time, getting killed around walls, matchmaking can be quite slow at times. But overall it is a very fun and free game. I’ve spent $10 on the game for the 1st battle pass and haven’t spent a dime since. You get over 1000 coins in each battle pass which is what it costs to buy the next one
All they had to do was implement a warzone mode
I dont what people are making up but Mark Rubin came out with an update on next season and the rumors going on and he said the game could be better and they are working on it but player numbers are far from dying. People believe anything on media, I choose to believe the person who is producing the game 😂❤
Played the demo in the day. Was ok but full of cheaters but never played it on release as I love Helldivers 2 way too much. Plus replaying old B1 and BV along with now cutting my time in MW3 down to have time to even bother at all now.
I just bought a ps5 for black ops 6, tried xdefiant while I'm waiting since it was free, and damn. I dont think I'm spending 70 dollars on black ops now
It’s a good game,just has some of the same problems call of duty has. The hit detection is off I shouldn’t have to unload a whole mag into someone to kill them don’t matter what gun I’m using 5 shots or less should kill someone . Need to get rid of the bunny hop bs I’m not the best but my aim is not bad my crosshairs are always dead center of the body yet I’m getting mowed down in what seems like just a couple of shots

Basically every ar does 20-25 dmg depending on the attachments the player has 100 health…. So I’m guessing your aim is not as good as you think and to say no matter what gun 5 shots should kill is just stupid everyone would run around with the fastest mp rapid fire and go nuts you would go 2-36 in the lobby lmao

Games not dying according to the numbers I’ve seen xdefiant is holding over a million players, I’m not sure on the legitimacy of these websites I’ve found but according to them MWIII is doing worse then xdefiant

It's only bad because they have shit abilities like the Spider Bot, or the Shield. They haven't fixed basic gun mechanics that are overtly used in consistent matches: Snipers to be exact. The TTK seems fine, but the BO4 corner jump exploit is just ruining it
Spider bots are going to be removed soon. Snipers have had huge nerfs through the addition of large flinch increases for only snipers and slight ads time increases. Many pther guns and abilities have also been nerfed and buffed to where the balance is much better than a few months ago at launch. The only thing not changed much is bunny hopping and corner jumping.
I feel so bad for the xDefiant devs. They all left activision after making MW2. Then they form this new company and release xDefiant and as a way to sabotage them, Activision releases a COD with THEIR OLD NOSTALGIC MAPS. Ridiculous
They are not panicking because of a dip in playerbase the first couple of weeks a new cod comes out , practically every online game experiences that . Nobody is shocked , happens every year for the last 15 years . Except you it seems
Why do people hate on games so much they are hoping for things to fail this games concept was great and has potential. Combing ghost Recon, splinter cell, rainbow Six and the others was awesome

I played it for a while, there’s just nothing to do. All you can do is level grind but if you want to play just to see number go up play gta online or something you can have reasonable goals in. Gold grind is nothing if it’s just a competition for who can play the most. It’s not a fun experience either.

They have 2 chances left IMO. Season 2 needs to drop with significant netcode improvements and bugfixes. If that fails, it's all in on season 3. If they get no traction from either of those content drops, then its GG WP.
I played defiant in the open beta I had high hopes for it, but the more I played it just didn’t feel balanced to me
I really wish it would’ve made it though hopefully it can make it but it’s a game that I won’t play because it’s unbalanced

Yes i played it it was fun loved it reminds me of older cods but then mw3 dropped and i dl cod back and had to eventually delete it to make space for cod to update i re-downloaded it today and tried to play took forever just to get into a game after the sec game i went back to cod I don't have the patience to wait forever and a day to get into lobbies

The unfortunate problem is that free means xdefiant isn't making as much money off it. They could probably sell more skins if they were cheaper or more players to sell to. The monetization model likely needs revision for the game to profit well enough for ubisoft to be happy with it

I absolutely love XDefiant but I don’t play at all mainly because there is no incentive to play, the battlepass which should always be the main incentive to play a F2P game is absolute trash with boring player skins and weapon skins and I’d never even think of spending money in the item shop because even in that the bundles they release are nowhere near worth the money.
I really like this game they should make a paid subscription and fix netcode problems then the game will bring money
Me and my friends were literally top with 95%+ win rates. I had 8 buddies on the kill leaderboard and if the and 2 of them which were top 10 and we are all ps. If we stopped playing the game then it obviously got boring 😂😂😂
Xdefiant is pretty fun ngl. But it's free to play, so this was expected tbh.
The MM sucks especially with a party. The monetisation is awful and it takes forever to unlock new agents forcing you to pay up. And the game has a lack of polish in general.
A company like Ubisoft should be able to pull off a game like this with all its resources, but they’ve just dropped the ball on this one and I am expecting this game to die off by 2025.

The beginning of the end for me and that game was when they almost completely altered the camo grind. Me as a casual player enjoyed the old grind but they only looked at sweaty try hards and how they were no lifing the game and blazed through it and change the grind.
This game has less lag than call of duty so it's more enjoyable

I played the BO6 beta this weekend and got many fun matches, it made me realize that XDefiant just isn't for me, Im not a sweat, I'm a casual 40 something gamer and my reactions are ok(ish) and I simply cannot compete in Xdefiant. So I finally admitted that to myself and just uninstalled it. I guess if you want to attract people with money to spend CoD have it right.
