After listening to the discussion regarding the loss of language and culture vs retention of language and culture, I am thinking about tribal hatreds. Loss of culture may inadvertently result in loss of hatreds or maybe a shifting of hatreds.
It is unfortunate that color of skin is used to categorize. Humans skin color, as far as we know, is the result of evolution and the need for vitamin D. We often categorize ourselves by religion, country, health, shape, size, intellect. Diabetic, epileptic, fat, Buddhist. We speak of the sun rising. We know that the sun does not rise, but only appears to rise. Medically, treating a patient does not typically begin with assessing skin pigmentation. Medically one assesses the abscess or presence of breathing. Bleeding, Circulation. Yes, we suffer from tribalism. The same tribalism seen in animals. Defense of territory and resources. That said, we humans are sort of in control of our evolution. These conversations are a case in point.

Realizing that I was not hearing much about a path forward. Perhaps the book will result in other writers suggesting one or many paths forward.
