This is so true. I messaged so many suppliers from Alibaba just because their listed MOQ and listed pricing is too way off from the actual and so always out of my expectation. Some sellers listed their products multiple times with different pricing so quite difficult to pinpoint the right one even though their listed asking MOQ is the same. The main challenge for a new biz owner is the lack of accurate information of the supplier market pricing per order quantity. Therefore choosing an affordable (yet reliable) supplier is too troublesome for small business owners because you may think you found a good price but after inquiry, it is now higher than your expectation then you calculate the est shipping and custom fee and realize your total procurement cost will be similar or higher than the current SRP in your local market. You either have to increase your MOQ some more or find for that one unique supplier that can fit your expectation requirement (try & try until you succeed).

I am from Africa, I would love to start dropshipping FMCGs but I don't have capital. I am looking at the best way to convince wholesalers to ship orders I find for them, receive payment and pay the wholesalers. Most have expressed trust issues: how can they be sure my orders are legit? What's their security and most of them find it challenging to package individual products to sell to customers in the B2C model

Im living as a below average pay salaries with a family of 2small kids. All I wanted is to do a small business , just to earn some extra income. I pmed many sellers, hardly anyone reply, some replied but stop communicating. Im also scared if I placed an order I may get cheated when they dont ship after Ive paid. I only have 1 model to invest, one chance from my savings. I just need a mentor to talk over. pls be mine..😔....

If you use and pay through a platform that has buyer protection (money back if they don't ship on time, or if quality is unacceptable) like Alibaba, then you should be okay
