Hi everyone, as i love testing for hours every settings and performances issues, i figured i should make a video about it for everyone to know and enjoy this game we all love so much.
This video only focusses on the in-game settings of The Isle, if you want to know how to boost even more (like way more) your fps with the nvidia control panel, msi afterburner, rivaturner etc.. leave a comment and i'll do it soon!

After my video came out, the isle released a shadow settings option making them "smooth". DO NOT turn this on as your performance will be impacted drasticly. Leave that option to the minimum available (off or low).
AMD Ryzen 5 5600x, NVIDIA GeForce 3060-ti, 16 gigs ram, these are my pc specs, I followed your video exactly with the exception of this part u commented after , going to try and change this setting when I get home and see if it helps, but I only get like 40-80fps depending on the area I'm in :/ pretty much every other game I play I can run on max settings and get 100+ fps (rust, dayz, sea of theives). do you have any other suggestions for an fps boost for a pc like mine ?
@@insomniasfinest4847 No unfortunatly, the isle is absolutely garbage in terms of optimisation so if too much people are in the same area it will lag like crazy. Devs are actually either so bad or so careless about optimisation that the more versions comes out the least optimized the game is.
@@RoccoBP that's sad , cause I am a new player to the game and I really enjoy it. Even with the some of the rough mechanics , if my fps could stabilize it would make it that much better
@@RoccoBP it's crazy bc when I was in programming classes in highschool and beyond my teachers DRILLED in optimization being most important over everything else

honestly the best you can do is just wait for a overall fps update for low end or medium pc, it depends if the developers want to make the game look more unrealistic or not. Since it doesn't really have to look the best for graphic wise. They can also probably just make a smaller map cause the fps issues usually happen when the map got changed. They can also, the best option available is to make a option to take away vegetation, less tress and plants. That usually help boosts games fps by a ton, well at least for me :)

Whats your gpu in this video? I thinking to get a rx6600 did you think i can run the game? What gpu you recomend.
i got an 3080 in this video but running the game in 2k, if u play on 1080p your choice will be enough yes, but maybe not on all ultra

It normal for little vines to have bits in them that flicker? Or trees bark in the distance flickering especially when moving.

How did you change the 3d resolution to 100? i changed the image scalling in geforce to 100 but it didn't change in the isle.

I guess they did yeah.. idk why tho cuz playing without dlss or fsr is absolutely impossible with how shit optimized the game is

when i put nvidia dlss to quaility my screen flickers and the screen starts kind of splitting and when I go to performanceor ultraperformace it gets rid of the splitting but my game flickers every once and a while
U can try to reinstall the game

thanks bro but my fps only got from 15 to 20. Yesterday when the update came out the game told me something like my video memory is overloaded and something else can you help me ?

i am confused, the isle now doesnt have the option for me to enable FSR for AMD, and despite there usually being an option (granted i cant use it) for DLSS. any tips?
Might be because of the new update, they fuck up every update anyways, might need a few days or weeks before they think and finally put all the options back, for now if you can't see fsr unfortunatly you can't do anything. Maybe don't put resolution scaling at 100 and try 80 or 90.

I don't know what the deal is, but your settings tab looks way different than mine. I don't have most of those options. I have a very good PC, so I don't know what the deal is.
Maybe you're playing on Legacy, that's the only reason i can think of
I only need 60 fps. So can i theoretically set the limit on 60 or will that change anything?

when I use lowest setting and epic settings
Depends if you’re on the hordtest, what resolution you play, if you use dlss/fsr or not, etc..
with your graphics card you should play 1080p and with dlss/fsr activated (make sure to turn it on/off multiple times because sometimes it bugs and isn’t activated) should get 100+ fps (don’t go in zones with like 20+ players cuz game is optimized like sh*t and can’t handle multiple players in the same zone
is there fsr option for amd gpu’s or only dlss?
@@dkaya26 dlss is only for nvidia 20xx 30xx 40xx so all the others should have fsr or maybe another option like dynamic scalling or something

Nope, if you have a rtx 20.. 30.. or 40.. you will have the dlss option, if you don’t have it you probably have fsr which is almost the same
