That’s pretty much my thinking on this game. I don’t think it’s gonna be a masterpiece game of the year or a trash game, but I think it’ll be a good game with a good story, gameplay and characters.
Dick Grayson has some definite "eldest sibling inheriting a big legacy" problems, but at least he has a support network in Babs, Tim and Jason. Bruce had no one but Alfred for the longest time. I like the way the actor is playing this angle, but I think I need to see Bat Girl a little more before I'm comfy with her new voice and new characterization. No, it's not the "walking after months of rehabilitation" that is giving me trouble; it's the "kid sister that swears a lot in order to sound strong than she feels" note in the dialogue deliveries that is throwing me off. That doesn't sound like the Barbara Gordon Bat Girl I know, from the Arkham games, from post 2000 comics, or even from The Batman, the youngest I've seen the character portrayed.
Well if you read Batgirl the new 52, specialy the Batgirl of burnside and Reborn Chapters it very much alike the Barbara Gordon we see here. Shes strong and independent and came back stronger from her Injury, thats what Barbara is in the Comics today (and yes she swears in the comics too), and i guess thats what we get in the Game as well, and iam pretty happy they stay true to their Comic Personalities 😊
Well don't get me wrong. But I think this game still needs more time in the oven. The dialogue is alright. Nightwings cake reference was funny. But the animations keep me from feeling emotional in those cutscenes.

Friendly reminder that graphics alone do not make a game. They only help. The gameplay/story is what contributes to replayability above anything else. There are games decades old that have more love, care, effort, and sweat put into them than most modern games. Why we always go back to them.
I honestly have no problem with graphics whatsoever, in fact i think they look pretty good. I think people need to lower the expectations on it because not everybody can simply own RTX 3000 and i am grateful that my rig will be able to run this so i am quite content. But agree.
Arkham Knight is 7 years old and still looks FAR better than this game. Spider-Man PS4 is 4 years old and also looks way better. I better get 10/10 gameplay and a very good story.
If you take a look at the cutscenes that are featured in Fight Night Champion (a game that is around ten years old) you'll find a setting similar to this (characters talking in a dimly lit gym), only with graphics that still manage to surpass this dogshit.

No I played the entire game and they never got back together. They remained friendly exes. Barbara even mentioned in the game that she regrets dating Nightwing because he is annoying and Nightwing keeps setting her up on multiple dates with other men. The two have moved on from each other and that's the way things should be, they're better off as exes, Nightwing belongs to Starfire.

So I believe Bruce will come back, but only for a good 20 minutes and it'll be important to the story but he'll die again so the Batfamily can fully take over as Gotham's protectors. If you remember at the end of Nightwing's character trailer, he's at Bruce's grave and he tells him he's got this. So Bruce is going to STAY dead by the end of the game and the Bat-Fam will continue to protect Gotham in his stead.
Im so having batgirl in this gameplay. I love what they did with her design. Its really good here. I was gonna go with batgirl and red hood, but seeing this. I am definitely playing as nightwing and batgirl.
This seems like it could be an interesting game to play. Also it's obvious the feelings Dick & Babs have for each other are still there and it looks like her legs are somehow finally well again.
I think the hate is unjust to be honest. The graphics do not look bad at all. They don’t “look like a 2014 game”. You’re just hating for no reason. The facial animations are not the best, but literally watch the 16 minute gameplay and tell me it looks “like a ps3 game”😐
For myself personally it’s all about the gameplay. Even if the graphics do look a little robotic, I am more than willing to look passed it if the gameplay is on point.

Series x and ps5 aren't 4k consoles. Hardly any games play at 4k natively and two arkham knight was a terrible video game ruined by the batmobile and tank battles.
That pause in “you don’t have to do it all…………dumbass” just seemed long lol. Only minor thing I noticed but overall I found this to be pretty cool. I like their dynamic.
There’s graphics quality and then there’s art style. This and the Arkham games clearly have a different art style so comparing the graphics is ridiculous
Man , I don't know about the gameplay but this and a couple other cutscenes that they revealed is why I'm interested in this game. The writing just looks really strong. This and another cutscene that they revealed makes me feel like that kid in highschool reading comics after school all over again.
Considering how the Batman Court of Owls creator liked the game and its story, I am pretty hopeful the story will be good. I don’t know about the game mechanics and side missions.
I hope that when Batman Arkham Videos makes a full game walkthrough of Batman: Arkham Origins next year, he also wraps things up for the extortion tape locations and complete everything that must be done to complete the enigma most wanted side mission as he never finished it back in 2013/2014 and it still remains incomplete to this day.

Im so having batgirl in this gameplay. I love what they did with her design. Its really good here. I was gonna go with batgirl and red hood, but seeing this. I am definitely playing as nightwing and batgirl.

This seems like it could be an interesting game to play. Also it's obvious the feelings Dick & Babs have for each other are still there and it looks like her legs are somehow finally well again.
It's crazy that arkham origins had more dynamic facial and Character than the next gen only game

I think the hate is unjust to be honest. The graphics do not look bad at all. They don’t “look like a 2014 game”. You’re just hating for no reason. The facial animations are not the best, but literally watch the 16 minute gameplay and tell me it looks “like a ps3 game”😐

For myself personally it’s all about the gameplay. Even if the graphics do look a little robotic, I am more than willing to look passed it if the gameplay is on point.

Boi what the freak are these graphics 😭 I’m trying to get hyped for this game but this kinda took a toll.
And don’t even hit me with the “It’s not about graphics, it’s about gameplay” argument, it’s 2022 and we’re playing these games on 4K consoles (PS5/Series X) plus, Arkham Knight did it better and that was years ago on weaker platforms

Series x and ps5 aren't 4k consoles. Hardly any games play at 4k natively and two arkham knight was a terrible video game ruined by the batmobile and tank battles.

There’s graphics quality and then there’s art style. This and the Arkham games clearly have a different art style so comparing the graphics is ridiculous

Man , I don't know about the gameplay but this and a couple other cutscenes that they revealed is why I'm interested in this game. The writing just looks really strong. This and another cutscene that they revealed makes me feel like that kid in highschool reading comics after school all over again.

Considering how the Batman Court of Owls creator liked the game and its story, I am pretty hopeful the story will be good. I don’t know about the game mechanics and side missions.

I hope that when Batman Arkham Videos makes a full game walkthrough of Batman: Arkham Origins next year, he also wraps things up for the extortion tape locations and complete everything that must be done to complete the enigma most wanted side mission as he never finished it back in 2013/2014 and it still remains incomplete to this day.
I cant wait till this game comes out in 2011. This is really pushing the PS3 to its limits
