@@Franklinstein18 YOU GET IT. And by far one of the, if not the, best versions of Zelda herself, and i'd even say the cutest Zelda and Link dynamic. Definitely the one with the most chemestry for sure. One of the most charming Zelda games. And also TRAIN 🚂
This is getting pinned for all the haters to understand the reasoning of the S-Tier placement!
Think there should’ve been a “didn’t play” tier. Ranking something you haven’t played is like rating an album you’ve never listened to, or a movie you’ve never watched.
I truly don’t understand how made a video like this. I’d be putting nearly every game in S tier! There’s just something to love about every game.
Bias aside, much respect for putting Spirit Tracks in S tier. It’s so slept on.

Thanks! I wanted to make the list feel more personalized, rather than the same reasons everyone else gives/says. Especially since a lot of the placements for the games are there due to connections to and stories with family

Halfway through this video I was reminded of the Howard Stern movie Private Parts.
In it, NBC took a poll and said that the average Stern hater listed longer than the average fan with the most popular poll answer being, "I wanna hear what he'll say next."
Also, consider not using guides. You are robbing yourself of all the well crafted "aha!" moments when you struggle and figure a puzzle out.

I'm saying this as a fan AND as an objective person. The minute Zelda: Ocarina of Time is moved from an S tier lower to another is the moment the list is flawed. You don't take a sports team championship away from them just cause other sports teams champs are made. OOT is champ 🏆 and will never be lowered by another. There can be other games that are just as good but Zeldas score doesn't change after once it's rated. OOT's score was imprinted on humanity back in November 1998 and is arguably the greatest game of all time. How much you like it or not doesn't contribute more or less to its perfection. And it's irrelevant its a perfect game cause it's not about that cause people will try to find flaws to argue it. It's legitimately the actual concept of Zelda on the NES in 3D and is the gem of the franchase just like Super Mario 64 was the perfect 3D transition of the 2D games back in the day.
I agree with your seintiment. OoT was a great game for it’s time and helped make Zelda transition properly to 3D, but when we talk personally, I didn’t have the personal appeal/nostalgia for the game, so when I played it through all the way on NSO for the first time. It just didn’t grab me like the other games, personally, but I will not disagree that it is a fantastic game in the Zelda series
Saying that a list as a whole is flawed because someone dares to have a different personal opinion than the majority is really pathetic.
Technically Age of Calamity should be an exception to the "no Hyrule Warriors" games rule..
Because it TECHNICALLY is canon.

@@Franklinstein18 Yeah that's true. The timeline split happened pretty early on in the game. So the timeline leading up to AoC/BoTW will result in both, no matter what.
Although really the timeline split comes from the Champions surviving, rather than falling at the hands of Calamity Ganon.
I do hope to see more come from AoC's timeline split. But it makes sense to call it canon when we remember that Ocarina of Time did the same thing (split the timeline into three different branches).

Anyone have a hard time playing Spirit Tracks and Phantom Hourglass? I find using the stylus extremely disruptive and honestly exhausting. As a lifelong fan since the original release of Links Awakening on Gameboy, I have been able to play every game to completion (besides ToTK and BoTW) and these 2 games. I get so burned out on the gameplay…anyone relate?
I know there’s a button mod if you emulate the game or mod in the patch on a modded 3DS (if you’re into that) never tried it myself but totally get the stylus concern. Haven’t played them since I was a kid so I don’t have much to say on the controls
I do play on a Modded console. I haven’t heard of that though. I will do some digging because that would make both of those games so much better imho.

A Link to the Past is S + tier ... I am much more surprised that your father never played it moreso than you never having played it. Not only one of the best Zelda games ever but one of the best SNES games ever - hence the surprise.

Tears of the Kingdom and Breath of the Wild have the best exploration, gameplay abilities, and fighting mechanics.
Twilight Princess and Skyward Sword have the best dungeons and soundtracks.
Ocarina of Time, Majora’s Mask, and Wind Waker have the best stories.
I think you’re pretty spot on with these comparisons!
