    Why do the multiple steel balls hold to each other if their domains are lined up, North to North and South to South? Shouldn't they repel like magnets would?

    Does an upper limit to permanent magnet exist? And how much you think you would be able to achieve? Are you going to try building the strongest possible magnet?

    Thx, very informative. I have a question about induced magnetism. If you take a steel cube and put a magnet on all six faces, where all magnets have the north poles to the faces of the cube, where does the south pole go? I tried this once and all magnets stick even though the poles facing the steel have the same polarity. I just don't understand what happens to the south pole. Can you explain?

      The way I think of it is by considering 2 different things which happen simultaneously. There are 2 completely different forces at play. One is the amount of flux the steel is absorbing and the other is the amount the steel is 'taking on' the field of the magnet. In my research they seem to be different. To say that again in other words > the amount of attraction that iron experiences in proximity to a magnet is a bit different than the amount that the steel will copy from the source magnet. You can see this phenomena by taking steel and placing north and north poles in the same steel. What will happen is that you will feel a push at a certain distance b/c the steel 'takes on' the fields of nearby magnets and stretches their fields... then when the magnets get close enough to the steel, the attraction to the steel will become greater than those north north proximities... I don't know the math,,, yet,, I'm actually working on that right now, lol. One thing that is weird is that the south pole in the induced steel is super weak. For almost a day I thought it was NOT there and the steel would only pick up ONE pole. In life it is paramount to take measurements and repeat your work across many days/weeks/years.. that way one doesn't end up believing things which are just difficult to find

      The steel body had enough permeability to sink the fields without becoming saturated. With big enough magnets or small enough steel, the effect wouldn't happen.

      I agree that Theoria Apophasis can be pretty crazy, but even a broken clock is right twice a day. Also, If I got rid of all my friends who had at least one crazy idea running around with them, I'd be pretty lonely. :-)

    2:44 I’m curious why at the time stamp you used gloves. But when you were doing the same experiment with the 1” steel balls you didn’t. I am not meaning to question your use of gloves and what not. I am wondering what the reason was.

    6:04 can it be said, then, that it is the induced magnetism that will cause a piece of non-magnetized steel or iron will be magnetized?
