It's only fair that people only use ReimuA since it's good and and it's the closest to a typical shot type you'd see in any other touhou game (such as MoF ReimuB or UFO ReimuA). And on top of that it lets you warp thru the sides of the screen too. I think the only thing that comes closer in terms of utility and power is MarisaA, although i still think her unfocused and focused shots should be inverted Edit: plus, TH11 is already hard as balls, and clearing it even as ReimuA is a gigantic achievement to most people, me included

Although i'd love to see that 8 options patch 👀 is it too much if i ask to link it? I'd love to take a look at it as soon as i have a bit of free time (my full time job takes up almost the entire day every day D:)
For me, ReimuC was one of the easier shot types to clear the main game with, but she was the hardest when it came to Koishi. For several of Koishi's attacks, including non-spells, you typically benefit from releasing the focus button for a quick burst of speed, but doing that with Aya points most of the damage away from the boss, so you have to find a position you can use to reorient your orbs while having zero-power shots in the meantime. It becomes a whole other distraction to manage both the bullet dodging AND the angle of your shot. It's no wonder it'd be a rare shot type for any challenge run done without tool assistance.
One of the ultra patches doubles the bullets launched by "fan" type attacks, which shoot a set of bullets at linearly increasing angles. If aimed directly at the player, fans with odd numbers of bullets will hit the player, while fans with even numbers will fly around the player. Koishi uses that type of attack during her Paranoia spell to aim bullets directly at the player with a fan with odd numbers of bullets, but since the bullets are doubled, the fan is now even-numbered and goes around the player.
