Anyone who works on machinery can see that these men have the fine "mechanic's feel". Wonderful!
I assume that you are just kidding.
@@jamesmckay9966 No. @ 9:50 watch the guy give the L wrench a little snap as he tightens home the bolts.
To anyone who really doesn't understand the very basics of how any combustion engine works (whether it be diesel or petrol) the enormity of what these guys are achieving will pass them by. I can only say an enormously well done.
@John Smith This! not to mention all the rust on the engine is going to eat through it. that engine will not survive for long.
@John Smith I agree, why didnt they just give the outside a paint job, nothing new on the inside...used piston rings LOL, thats funny!
@@chadsimmons6347 hey, straight 50W motor oil covers a multitude of sins!😁
@@hoost3056 Cold winter starting might suck, but yeah oil- grease would stay in the block😀
@Live NQ Trading Algorithm , Badly scored pistons (and using a wire brush on them didn't help), no specs, nothing torqued, they reused the connecting rod bearings (and probably crank too) and they didn't even bother to build it in clean dirt.
40 different people including kids working on this engine and no bickering. Just amazing.
Thanks for watching ❤️❤️, kids are learning 😊
No bickering on camera that is ;)
All car and truck repair students in the States should be required to watch all of these, another excellent video, keep them coming!

😄Two words Torque Wrench. Two more words Deck plane. These guys would be great apprentices in the states but would have to learn much much more to be competitive in a market with modern vehicles.
@@joedell71 Exactly.
They can get away with what they do, because they're dealing with a basic engine here. In reality this isn't a rebuild though. They cleaned things, and it looks like they replaced the rings. But the scuffed pistons, and ugly looking bearings were re-installed. No idea if any valve work was done.
Guaranteed this doesn't have the compression, or oil pressure a new, or properly rebuilt engine has.
@@joedell71 nothing a good ol shellac can't fix
@@erikj.2066 Lol in the US and Europe you would get sued to hell for not properly rebuilding a engine... this aint road worthy. and i would not let ANY students watch these videos... its a good way to ruin a good engine actually.

Hello my friend writing with great pleasure🔔🔔🔔🔔

This engine is now ready for another one million kilometer ! Thanks for restoring things and giving it a second life. I read a few comments on how things were not done perfectly, but at least you do it and an old engine runs Again. Here in Europe the labour is so expensive they would just scrap the whole thing and buy a new truck all together. . but at the same time, everybody says we have to save the planet....you are really doing something for the planet by restoring this engine ! So i support your job 100% and you can be very proud of your work ! I would be so glad to come to Pakistan and meet you ! Respect and keep doing it ! Regards from Europe
Thank you so much for your comments ❤️❤️
MAYBE 200k miles from the way they rebuilt it, nothing spec together, no torque patterns, might look nice but won't last long.
Well said same thing in here in the US just parts changers buy everything new so bad for the environment imagine the amount of pollution it takes to make a new truck

These are REAL men! Nothing in our world is impossible to those with strong spirit and will to survive. No excuses only action!! Amazing work!!

Real men that reuse old crank shaft bearings haha this engine wont last long waste of time and effort
Why won't it last they did the semi equivalent to an in frame rebuild they replaced the sleeves piston rings rod bearings and resealed it very common in the diesel truck industry if its within spec there's no reason to waste time and money replacing it .. I guess that's the difference between those who sit on the sidelines making excuses and those in the game making shit happen. I'm sure that engine will be around and running long after you become worm fodder

I am fascinated by the fact so many can work together on the one engine and not get mixed up, great work. Also they have a great feel for what they do and so the hammer is left aside.
@Terrence Bullock me too....it makes you wonder... do we 'over do' this procedure over here...is that why a rebuild is so f....n expensive in our country...? the other day i watched a video of them rebuilding of all things...a clutch...an item that gets thrown and replaced over here.....wtf....RESPECT
So you don't need an $8000 tool box and $16,000 dollars of tools to rebuild a engine? That's NOT what the Snap-On rep told me....
Exactly
Who's got the torque wrench? We don't need no stinkin' torque wrench!
The sad part is these guys probably do a better job rebuilding an engine in dirt with $20 in tools than most of the guys that own those tool truck setups.
Fucken right . This prove you dont need expansive and fancy tools .
After a good amount of miles you _will_ notice the difference in the poor quality of the (applying of) sealant, the cheaper gaskets, rings, oils and the lack of properly torqued screws. But I guess in India, that's the moment when you bring in your engine for another restoration ;)
I think you could make a 3 hour asmr video of that engine running and you'll get over 3M hits!!

Nice to see true mechanics at work, no torque wrenches just by eye - that is the sign of a true engineer.
A true mechanic/engineer would have used a torque wrench, just like the factory did when the engine was first built. Not using a torque wrench is not the correct way to do the job.
Not taking anything away from these guys, they do a great job with what they have available to them, but let’s be realistic, they are not doing a proper engine rebuild here.
@@TechRossNZ You completely miss the point of the comment, sitting in a western 1st world country is all very well. I have seen people rebuilding a LR diff in the desert and sand complete it with ease with very few but essential tools. Torqueing down bolts whilst ideally done with a gauge of some type can be done with lots of experience with reasonable success. Remember these engines are not freaky intolerant divas but workhorses that are built like tanks. I was commenting on the abilities of these guys to do the job with very little. May be well to remember that when the AK47 came out everyone trashed them but I've seen one picked up after weeks in dirt and mud in a dry area, all that was needed was the bolt kicking open a bit of a shake and off it went. A lot of simple engineering is similar.
