It's so cool hearing your process from getting an idea, to putting pen to paper, to printing it on a t-shirt. You can really see you're passionate about this too which makes it that much cooler. Very proud of you sis :)
I've been really enjoying you T shirt design videos and seeing your process was interesting. Watching your Tshirt design videos actually helped encourage me last month to finish and release my Create Awesome shirts and put them up in my spreadshirt shop. I enjoyed it so much and watching the stuff in your look book that I want to create a lot of cool design and art inspiration T shirts now! Thanks so much!
Roberto Blake thanks for the lovely comment Roberto! Isn't the internet awesome that it allows us designers to see each others process and be inspired by each other :D
Please do more screen printing videos. Would be great if you did an in depth video of your entire process, from idea, film positives, exposure, printing, curing, etc :) Love your designs!
Awesome Video! You have done a great job with your shirts and your hand lettering process has really inspired me to design my shirts ( I have done a shirt, but only using system fonts)on pen and paper first.
i really liked your designs, they're really cool and inspiring.. I just wanted to ask you about what method do you use to get the design printed on the actual tshirt? and how do you have it done?
Hiba Nabulsi I screen print my t-shirts myself! Check out a few videos about it in my t-shirt business playlist :) ruclips.net/p/PLrJQSKQvgHS5I1V7SEtAPdcyW5Zj4b8kR
hello! I just discovered your channel and your videos are SO helpful! I've been thinking of starting my own tshirt business and you have provided a ton of useful information that will help me start! just to be sure I understood right (I browsed through the comments trying to find the answer but want to be sure) you hand letter all your designs and then scan them into your computer into an editing software such as photoshop? then you print it on the tranparency? I know you probably answer the same questions a lot I just wanted to be sure! thank you so much!
Looove the sound waves desing, but I have another question, how much time you take from each t-shirts line? and how many designs per line you like to make? Im having that struggle rith now
I would love to see how you get drawings by hand onto the computer because I would draw all my designs my self and I don't know how to make them digital
This was so cool! How have I never found your channel before 😂 With your DIY screen printing, is it a permanent screen? We did some printing in art class recently and that technique popped to mind
Bella Rankine I think it could be called a permanent screen, I'm actually self taught though so not sure on the terminology. I'm glad you found my channel! :)
You Found BRITTANY ! I vectorise my sketches in Illustrator using the pen tool. and to get the soundwaves I imported the song into Garageband and zoomed in on the soundwaves, took a bunch of screenshots, stitched them together in photoshop and then cut it into pieces to stack on top of each other like you see on the tshirt. It was a long process! haha
I love you videos so much! You are so amazing! I was wondering were do you order your blank t shirts from? They are super cute and different then the simple bulky t shirt, that i think are really ugly ! lol :D
dazzlingdolls The blank tshirts I used for this line are from the brand Gildan :) the trick is getting womens cut tshirts and well as mens ones! womens cut are generally a bit slimmer and the sleeves aren't so bulky!
Is there any issues that may arise from printing song lyrics on tshirts? Does that make you liable for copyright issues? Great videos btw, I always learn a lot from you. Thanks -mike
Thanks Mike! You could be liable if you put song lyrics on tshirts. It's a grey area and I couldn't find a clear answer either way so decided to stop designing lyric shirts for that reason. None of the designs shown in this video are lyrics tho, so as you can see you can still do music related tees without lyrics :)
+Shelby Vice most of my tshirt designs in this collection use hand lettering, meaning I draw the lettering myself, then trace over it using Adobe Illustrator to get it on the computer. it doesn't matter what software you use though, get creative! It's awesome that you're inspired :)
+foxyzjessyjamesshow I use a mix of Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop (and to get the design on to the computer to trace i just take a photo or scan it). use whatever software you feel comfortable with though! when it comes to designing t-shirts, your ideas are more important than the software you use :)
+Jenna Hudson if you're going to sell commercially I wouldn't recommend using lyrics as they're a legal grey area and its safest to avoid. None of these tshirt designs are lyrics though :)
+Jocelyn Archila sonds like you might need to print a larger transparency and use a larger frame! I use either A4 or A3 transparency, depending on what the design is :)
Sunny Ignes I screenprint my tshirts :) Here's a playlist with videos all about my t-shirt company and there's a few videos on screenprinting in there! ruclips.net/p/PLrJQSKQvgHS5I1V7SEtAPdcyW5Zj4b8kR
Hey Charli... your videos are so inspiring- thanks for sharing it. While I was looking online to find a solution to one of my dilemmas, I thought of asking you for some help since you have been in the business for a while. My husband and I are intending on doing custom tshirts. The niche we have picked has too many options, we were hunting for a feature that could help us do something like that of NFL: (www.nflshop.com/New_England_Patriots_Customized_Men_Jerseys/Mens_New_England_Patriots_Nike_Navy_Custom_Game_Jersey). The NFL link provides variants on the side, and upon selecting the customization, the customer can see how it would look. Example: the player name, number, add logos etc... This will allow me to save time for having to customize 100+ templates.I was hoping you could maybe suggest how about to go that. will really appreciate your help Thanks
Hello Charli Marie I would love to chat with you and to get your advice on my tee shirt line are you on Facebook? Or do you have a email address I can send you some questions to ? Thank you
+Mary Jane Abarquez yes this is not a step by step tutorial to copy my designs, but rather I'm showing you the process I went through so that you can try some of my methods for yourself :)
It's so cool hearing your process from getting an idea, to putting pen to paper, to printing it on a t-shirt. You can really see you're passionate about this too which makes it that much cooler. Very proud of you sis :)

+dannndance2012 yes that's exactly right! Bringing them into photoshop or illustrator allows me to fix them up and make changes easily before printing
CharliMarieTV great! thank you for the response!
Looove the sound waves desing, but I have another question, how much time you take from each t-shirts line? and how many designs per line you like to make? Im having that struggle rith now
i'd say have as many designs as you like! 3 or more is enough to call it a line I think :)
I would love to see how you get drawings by hand onto the computer because I would draw all my designs my self and I don't know how to make them digital
try out the Adobe Capture app!
They're all great!
I can't wait for my tshirt to get here :)
GirlyFrame Thanks Lucia! I'm posting your shirt off to you tomorrow :D
This was so cool! How have I never found your channel before 😂
With your DIY screen printing, is it a permanent screen? We did some printing in art class recently and that technique popped to mind
Bella Rankine I think it could be called a permanent screen, I'm actually self taught though so not sure on the terminology. I'm glad you found my channel! :)
How did you get "The Melody Rhythm" design on the computer if you drew it ? Also, can you explain how you did the soundwave design ?
You Found BRITTANY ! I vectorise my sketches in Illustrator using the pen tool. and to get the soundwaves I imported the song into Garageband and zoomed in on the soundwaves, took a bunch of screenshots, stitched them together in photoshop and then cut it into pieces to stack on top of each other like you see on the tshirt. It was a long process! haha
After you hand draw your shirt designs, how do you transfer them to the transparency sheet?
+Amythest Williams I scan them in to photoshop to refine and then print them :)
Loved seeing how you went from idea to the final design.
Gonna go on the store now ;)
- Tara ^.^
shopstyleconquer Your shirts are going to be printed this weekend :D

I love you videos so much! You are so amazing! I was wondering were do you order your blank t shirts from? They are super cute and different then the simple bulky t shirt, that i think are really ugly ! lol :D
dazzlingdolls The blank tshirts I used for this line are from the brand Gildan :) the trick is getting womens cut tshirts and well as mens ones! womens cut are generally a bit slimmer and the sleeves aren't so bulky!
Thanks so so so much , Ya I will make sure to get both!
Do you have to coat your screen with emulsion every time you do a different design
Like them..Look great..do you offer help for others that has the same desire for design line?
Keep it up!
Mz Yoda I do have a video all about how I started my little tshirt business if you're interested :) ruclips.net/video/ZJGzEeDXbyM/видео.html
Is there any issues that may arise from printing song lyrics on tshirts? Does that make you liable for copyright issues? Great videos btw, I always learn a lot from you. Thanks -mike

What computer program do you use for the fonts?? Im not too great at artistic things but im soo inspired to do a tshirt line...PLEASE HELP!xx
+Shelby Vice most of my tshirt designs in this collection use hand lettering, meaning I draw the lettering myself, then trace over it using Adobe Illustrator to get it on the computer. it doesn't matter what software you use though, get creative! It's awesome that you're inspired :)
What software were you using and how do you get the design from paper to the computer?
+foxyzjessyjamesshow I use a mix of Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop (and to get the design on to the computer to trace i just take a photo or scan it). use whatever software you feel comfortable with though! when it comes to designing t-shirts, your ideas are more important than the software you use :)
I have a question...when using your favorite lines or lyrics from songs, do you need special permission?? thank you!!
+Jenna Hudson if you're going to sell commercially I wouldn't recommend using lyrics as they're a legal grey area and its safest to avoid. None of these tshirt designs are lyrics though :)
This is very cooooool! Thank you Charlotte :)
Frederique gauthier thanks for watching :)
CharliMarieTV Hi , great stuff .Can you give me any more details on how you create your screens and print them??
What Size Of Transparency Do You Use? I Always Have a Problem With The Fact That My Designs Look Very Small On The T-Shirt
+Jocelyn Archila sonds like you might need to print a larger transparency and use a larger frame! I use either A4 or A3 transparency, depending on what the design is :)
I have a question: how do you transfer your little logo that is on the bottom right of the video from adobe to your videos?
+Susana Sarabia that's a feature on RUclips! You just upload a .png of your logo to set it as the watermark in your channel settings :)
Really great work! You've given me some great ideas :)
Thanks so much for sharing, Charli!! :D
-storm
***** ooo exciting! Glad this video could serve as a bit of inspiration :)
what computer program do you usualy use?
how did you start your business..?? I need help..!!
Do you have any problems with copyright being that you use song lyrics?
+Quincy Fleming none of these designs are song lyrics :)
I apologize, but didn't you say on one of your videos you used the lyrics form some of your favorite songs
+Quincy Fleming yes that's right I used to many years ago! Then I learned more about copyright and decided it wasn't worth the risk
Ok thanks
what method do you actually use to print the shirt designs.
Sunny Ignes I screenprint my tshirts :) Here's a playlist with videos all about my t-shirt company and there's a few videos on screenprinting in there! ruclips.net/p/PLrJQSKQvgHS5I1V7SEtAPdcyW5Zj4b8kR

Great video!
Monster rally thanks :)
This will allow me to save time for having to customize 100+ templates.I was hoping you could maybe suggest how about to go that.
will really appreciate your help
Thanks
I just have a small online store where i print my own designs, i'm not sure about anything at that level sorry!
Hello Charli Marie I would love to chat with you and to get your advice on my tee shirt line are you on Facebook? Or do you have a email address I can send you some questions to ?
Thank you
+Alexandria Savoy probably best to tweet me @charliprangley :)
you talk a lot than showing how to do it
+Mary Jane Abarquez yes this is not a step by step tutorial to copy my designs, but rather I'm showing you the process I went through so that you can try some of my methods for yourself :)
