Hey thanks! The 98 Silverado and 99 suburban were great trucks. The 98 Silverado I sold out here to a younger guy who needed it for farm work in the mountains. I’m sure it’s still going strong.
The 99 suburban I sold to family friends back on the easy coast in January. Went to a super great home! Thanks for watching!!

Really enjoy watching your videos. There’s something so refreshing about the crispness of the video quality and your style of being straight to the point! Still on the lookout for a 95 740i, for the M60 engine. Absolute gem of an engine, and seems to be much simpler and less problematic than the M62.

Thanks man! Very much appreciate the kind feedback. I just use two iPhones and iMovie man. Would love to up the production quality/value someday but don’t have the time now.
Here’s my take: I’m an M60 fan forever. I think the M60B40 is the best engine bmw ever made if you consider the power, reliability, longevity and efficiency.
You’ll see in my previous videos that I had a green 1995 740i with the M60. Great daily driver for sure. However, after just having had that 2000 740i sport - the M62TU with the sport trans/torque converter and 3.15 rear end is a winner. That combo is amazing. If you ever find one that’s had the timing chain guides done, I’d say do it.

@@leojt9423 Yup, of course! That 95 740i is how I found your channel about a year ago. Really enjoyed how straightforward the maintenance videos were on that car.
I’ve got an E90 330xi myself, and I admired how much easier it was to get to the oil pan on the 740i than it is on my car. Seems like that era BMW V8s have that front subframe design where the oil pan is easily accessible. Another nice thing about the M60 is the conventional alternator that it uses, as opposed to the $1000 water cooled alternator in the M62 TU.
I used to have an F30 328i with the N20 engine and a 6 speed. Even though I did the oil changes religiously, I sold that car because of the rattling timing chain noises that accompanied every cold start since the car was new. I don’t miss that car one bit.

@@pascutia nice cars! I’ve never had a 3 series but like those a lot. Definitely recommend an e38, e34s are honestly great too - every model. Super reliable and really easy to wrench on. Cheap parts, too.
The lower oil pans on the V8’s are extremely accessible which is awesome. The water cooled alternator is super dumb, I agree. Unfortunately the 750 I just bought has the washer cooled alternator also, but it was recently replaced and at least the M73 doesn’t have chain guide issues.
-- I actually still have the last maintenance video of that green 95 740 on my phone rust I never uploaded hahaha. I sold it this time last year.
