Swimming with dolphins in LOVINA, BALI!

Back in 2017, we visited Bali for the first time. Our kids were 1, 7, and 8, and we were so excited to be in a new country all together. We still were not traveling full-time, but this was our first big trip before starting our big adventure. At that time, we learned that we could see dolphins in the north of Bali, so we headed there. Of course, they were all young, so they don't remember much from that adventure.
That is why we decided to head back to Lovina now and ensure that this adventure would be unforgettable for them.
What is new now is that you can actually get in the water while the dolphins swim around and see them underwater, making the experience even more magical. In fact, you get in and hold on to a handle, kind of like little swings, while the boat drives to where the dolphins are. I won't deny that it can be a bit painful, especially when they start going a bit faster. The dolphins stay in that area because they can find food, so I honestly think they have a ball swimming around trying to trick the boats into finding where they will come out next!

Hi! Let me try to answer at my best.
I believe you can see them all year round, but I'm not 100% sure. I can give you the contact information of the person we went with, and you can ask directly. We went twice, once in April this year and in June 2018.
We did not do the plakton seeing activity, honestly I didn't know they had it. But to be fair, in the evening, it rained a lot, so it would not have been possible anyway.
I believe you can get a grab, but we used a driver we know since it is a long trip, so we felt more comfortable with him, plus it is his home town so he is always happy to have an excuse to go home (I can give you his contact if you would like). I hope this helps
