One important point - the Boss is a pre-amp as well as a tone conditioner. If your guitar has a passive pick-up system this will help you get a better amplified response from the instrument. The BodyRez is amazing at what it does, but it is not a pre-amp. Also, reversing the polarity (red/green light) on the BodyRez brings out more top end and mids along with resonance - it is hard to hear how different it really is in this video, but on mine it is almost like having two different pedals in the way it conditions the tone.
I got me the bodyrez but it doesn't eliminate the piezo quack, just adds little eq and compression and resonance but the piezo quack is not eliminated.
chiet97 I agree especially if only using the one pedal. I use the bodyrez to thicken (fix the pickup) then into a chorus, delay, reverb and looper. I like the bodyrez because it is a smaller footprint on the acoustic pedal board.
Great job! Especially addressing any hum / noise issues. I've heard people complain about true bypass pedals and one problem that these pedals have is clicking the pedals on and off several time to discharge unwanted voltage. Not unlike your unplugging and re-plugging the this pedal. I've got lots more stories.
The Boss RV-6 is a reverb pedal. It does have some tone shaping capabilities. However, the Boss AD-2 has more tonal options targeted at shaping the specific tones produced by an acoustic guitar.
Are you using an active pickup? I think the real test would be to use these pedals with a passive pickup. I don’t think I’ve seen someone use these pedals with a passive pickup. I’d like to see someone use the Fishman Blackstar passive pickup.
sorry for my question man,,im just a newbie.. i can see that the guitar cable is plug into the pedals,,now, whats the purpose of the condenser mic and where was it plugged? tnx man.
i also one of the demo for the MXR M300 where one last breath of creed and watch over you by alter bridge was played. I think that was also you bro. the player is using a Taylor 114. in that video AT2035 was used as well but no one is talking. What was that mic for in that vid bro? i guess this would be my last question before ordering the reverb pedal.
Yes same person as well =) There the tone was blended between the Dry sound (mic) and the wet sound (reverb)....to give it a more natural sounding tone....
At least the Bodyrez works really well also with soundhole magnetic pickups. I work with some bands that use the LR Baggs M1 soundhole pickup and we are using them now with the Bodyrez, it's a nice improvment with the pedal on. I highly recommend it
Hi guys! I need help. Would it be better if I’ll partner it up with a EQ pedal? Lets say i already have the AD2 and im planning to have an EQ pedal lets say from mxr. Would it be better? Or i dont need EQ pedals anymore? I need your advice guys :(
@@lorynelmajads9899 I think this might be over kill and may 'muddy' your sound. If you have the AC3 and are not getting the sound you want check your PA set up or maybe the pick up on your guitar. You may want the AC3, set it's eq to 12 o'clock (neutral) and use a 7-10 parametric equaliser.

Lets be honest here acoustic players.. NO DRAMA.. Bodyrez all the way! 🤘 Been using it with my yamaha and it sounds more good than my martin..
I like the Body Rez. It doesn't take up a lot of room on my board and does sound great.
I like the boss pedal more, plus it got some more tone options than the Tc electronic. Nevertheless both are very nice pedal.

I use the Boss AD2 with a Takamine. I find too much Acoustic Resonance makes the quack worse. Both knobs at 3 o clock and it sounds great.

if taylor's expression system is any good, why the need for an enhancer? 😮
Cause it’s not
How's the boss Ad 2 different from a Boss RV 6?? Which one should I go for ?
Well the AD-2 enhances acoustic tones and the RV-6 does not. I think you can figure out what you need

Yeah,it was an active pickup in this video.....
Nice review man! One question, what pickup did u use? Was it the es2?
Yes you're correct, ES-2....
It also depends on.....the amplification you are using and knowledge using it.
Could you give me your opinion about tc electronic g natural and boss ad-10?
bodyrez is amazing turned off hahaha

So you can hear me talk clearly...
so you mean it doesnt have to do anything on the guitar sound or effect?
rash wahiddan nope....

Bodyrez has a great potential to become a boomey machine.. too much low freq.
I got a taylor 214ce as well and it sounds like poopoo when it’s plugged in compared to this one even without the pedals.
Are these pedals mostly for piezo equipped guitars or can you use them on a guitar with a sound hole pickup too? Nice video btw!

TC sounds better and more natural.
BOSS FTW!
Helpful 🙋🏻
Very nice pedals...

It's up to your ears, if you feel you cant get a certain tone from the EQ of your amp or guitar preamp, then add on an EQ pedal....
I would add a 7-10 parametric eq. These pedals are too subtle. Try the zoom AC3 for atotal acoustic pedal
Can we combine this Boss AD2 to zoom AC3? Does it have a good combination?
I agree with music bliss....what are your ears telling you.

I haven had any ucksest whiet bass
Bodyrez I lovei it
Boss is way better, IMO.
Do i hear seether?
Why You put your guitar like that... T.T
What is better?
Let not use a Taylor guitar they sound good with out pedals. get a 300.00 acoustic or cheaper and lets see what the pedal can do.
piezo pickup.....WHY?
