Kinda late to this party -_- Biggest thing that helped me through the game was learning you can stop bosses doing their red aoe attacks during melee phases simply by attacking once. Particuarly handy on Furier difficulty when you don't have much time to react.
bought this game today and got to the 3rd boss but it's so hard lol. I get to his second last phase but than wrecks me before I can send the old man to his final stage. I'm wondering if I should switch to the easier setting for a first playthrough or something. I didn't know about the charging so that's great to know. I was staring so hard at this game while playing that tears started to stream from my left eye.
Just gotta wait it out - a lot of the movement for the wave attacks is to move back and draw them out so you have a large distance you can dash, and then dash at an almost parallel angle to the wave so you don't land in the next wave. You'll see that barriers come up when she's aiming and you'll need to pay attention to those as you're dodging the waves. They're a little hard to notice, so you may have to practice dodging the waves until you can deviate your focus a little easier to find each barrier. You can see an example here: ruclips.net/video/cLLpO9qBu1E/видео.html . If you're really precise, you can parry the orbs at the start of the wave and you'll have a small amount of invulnerability, but I can't quite remember if you'll have enough time to pass through those waves (works really well in a couple of cases for The Line).
so i bought the game yesterday and i fucking suck ok i play on pc and not with a controller but can it be considered that i died about 6 times to the chain and still didn beat him...thats literally why i searched this vid..ye laugh about me
To be fair, I don't think I've seen anyone be amazing at the game right out the gate - it combines a bunch of familiar stuff from action rpg's and shmups but in a way that's kind of super unique to Furi.
Great tips - especially about charged attacks and parrying. Thanks. Just discovered this game and it’s already one of my faves.

I am 6 years late but...yeah change the difficulty to easy if mean that you can continue to enjoy the game
Would be nice of the game explained what all the colors and stuff meant. Good video for beginners!
hehehe oh no this video only confused me even more i suck so bad
I probably should've presented it as a more advanced thing, especially when talking about rebinding the cumbersome default controls, etc.
okay but how do you beat the burst's final phase on Furier?

@@JerpDoesGames I've actually beaten it since posting this comment, but thanks for taking the time to reply!
thanks man this is really helps alot
if only i knew that... that would've made the game much easier xd
Great tips but it's not clear enough how practically you do these moves.
Like the dodge and slash
What makes this game suck is that have the stuff you need to know they don't tell you.
I didn’t know any of that!!!
