He seemed like he would "try" but he didn't seem dedicated to succeeding. He needs to learn more about all the reasons to go vegan by watching documentaries, etc. Natalie did a great job, but there is only so much you can do during a short conversation. People wouldn't be willing to sit there for a full seminar on the subject. I hope Natalie gave him some recommendations for watching some good documentaries, etc.
What he needs to do is cry his eyes out watching Pignorant and Earthlings back to back before he'll get it. Even trying to numb myself with alcohol, it was still brutal.

Until then, it would be preaching to the choir, and needless trauma on my part. As it is, I do lots of advocacy for veganism. I suppose I could support the creators of those docs by streaming them without watching or hearing them, in order to increase the popularity metrics, etc.

Only reason I put myself through it was to remind myself of why I'm doing it. I was already planning on exiting stage left regardless, so figured I had nothing to lose by becoming vegan. I cancelled my plans to check out just so I could watch those documentaries, so maybe it was worth it for that reason.

Where does one stop The jacket you wear was probably made by a meat eating person so is mostly everything you survive on. So just because you don't eat meat you are happy to buy items that somewhere down the line meat has been consumed for your convenience. A bit like the person with an elec motor vehicle, plug it in to the socket and the power comes from a coal or nuclear power station but the think the are so saving the environment. I'm a vegetarian. I don't eat any animal flesh as my body prefers not to. Energetically its good for me as well.
