Former Lewis fan, Dutchie so Max fan ofcourse and McLaren fan ever since I can remember as a child. My dad raised me into F1, I can remember races clearly from around 2000 onwards and 29 now.
The term you're looking for is "toxic" fans. There are enough fans who can see past the bs.

2020 Max was very underrated. He at least tried to make the press conferences entertaining lol
I'm a Lewis fan, I actually kinda believe the Racing Point was the 2nd fastest car that year so it makes Max's performance even more impressive

I think they've got a better relationship than people think. Even during 2021, there was loads more noise from Horner and Wolff.
Yeah hut thats also for the sports drama. Cause they’re laughing way more together behind the camera’s then in-front of it. We tend to forget that formula one is one of the few sports where team principals have a very famous and big personality. They have to represent their brand so ofcourse they’re gonna be fiers against their direct competitors. But if you have the opportunity to walk on the grid one time, you see that kost of them are like one big family cause they’re stuck with eachother for almost a whole year.
They're not friends, they're not enemies. They're competitors. And they're both great drivers. The (mostly british) media and some so called 'fans' have made it look like they are enemies. And of course the outcome of season '21 only made it worse. People tend to forget the positive interactions between them like shown in this video and focus on the negatives. Both drivers have left me speechless several times when I watched their performances on the track, when they've shown how incredible good they are. When you love the sport, you love them both.
Dutch media is even more hostile towards Lewis to be honest. I really hate it

It’s funny because they down play the rivalry between them,, but if you watch Lewis interviews of late he always is watching what Max is doing and I’m sure Max as of this moment doesn’t need to worry about Lewis as much but you can tell when they get near each other Max races Lewis much differently then anyone else
Of course he does. Max knows you gotta dig deeper when you're racing Lewis and Lewis does the same when racing Max, that's what makes them champions and that's what makes them special. You can't race Lewis or Max like you're racing Stroll or you'll lose. They both know that you gotta step up your game when you're racing a champion so that's what we see in races, and that's why they crash so much because its so close to the edge, sometimes it goes over. If I were a professional racing driver, I'd feel that this is the utmost respect that another driver can give to me, if you see them giving their all trying to beat me.
I find it crazy how people keep portraying these two incredible champions as "enemies", when they're really just competing and pushing each other on the limit every race.
And when the media wanted to have beef between these two, Max would always be the one to suppress a majority of those dumb arguments.
Max and Hamilton are amazing drivers, and I really want to see them race each other again like they did in 2021, seeing two incredible drivers of their generations is such a joy to watch in recent times too.
Putting those incredibly loud beeps in between each clip is about the most annoying thing you could have possibly done with this edit. Totally unnecessary.

No it's the unforgiven toxic fans making that an issue still. Since then they have been chopping it up. Remember we only see the drivers when they show them to us 5% of the time. We don't know how they are the other 95% of the time the cameras are not around

We were lucky to have that one year where they fought for the championship. That season was literally like Max passing Lewis on the track, and he has never looked back since. In the above 7 minutes Lewis has a better sense of humor in the middle seat. A weird coincidence.

They had an intense rivalry. Lewis is mature enough to realize Max only took the opportunity to win given to him, and it is only Masi who deserves to be hated for all eternity.
Because they were championship rivals? You won't find many clips of Hakkinen and Schumacher being buddy-buddy in '98 or '99, but they still greatly respected each other off-track. Ditto for Prost/Senna, Alonso/Schumacher, etc.

Lewis had a 2 seconds per lap faster car.
The Redbull when Max is driving is just 0,2 seconds faster per lap.
So thats strange Lewis did lap every F1 car till the number 4 in a F1 race for 7 years.
So every F1 driver won 6 times a F1 Championship with that Monster Rocket Engian in the MBF1 car.
Because Lewis is a good racer but not a great F1 racer.
Only Senna and Max are the only greatest F1 drivers.
