Hello there. Hope you all liked the video! I spent the past 3 weeks, every night, working on it. This is also not the only tutorial video i'm making. This is just a general kind of tips and tricks video to help start the series. In the near future I am going to make specific videos dedicated to each part of lightsaber combat, so you can learn it piece by piece in an easy way, instead of having to sift through a messy 30 minute video. Until then, what did you think of this one? Did you like it? Not like it? Learn something new? Any requests? Let me know in the comments!
as someone who is utter trash at battlefront 2 lightsaber combat cus i got it recently, this has really helped me dominate with lightsaber heroes in hvv or hero showdown even against tier max vaders.
Dude I just love how you picked the fitting soundtrack for each character, really shows that you put thoughtful work into this. Thanks a lot for the tips and tricks!
Used to binge BF 2 a lot. Don't play so much now, but I still like to watch vids of it from time to time. It's insane to see how in depth and complex the hero combat can be. Excellent video
I have been playing BF2 for 2 years now with a lvl 152 Vader now. And at 1:01 is the first time ever hearing Vader's choke sounding like the choking sound effect from TCW! It's so nice!
I now believe the archives are complete. In all seriousness though this is a damn good Quality video with big Q. Both entertaining and instructive. Thank you so much for putting your time into making these videos man, I literally can't stop watching you. Huge SUB and LIKE from Denmark
I’ve played this a lot so I’ll share my tips too: 1. 90% of the time don’t try to block the return on the saber throw. It’ll leave you way too exposed and you’ll lose more health than you would’ve if the saber throw hit you. Better option is to dodge it. 2. Try to be as mobile as you can. Even with with a hero like vader who’s “slow”. Staying in one place WILL get you killed(talkIng about GA and supremacy). 3. Don’t spam swing. Not even against regulars. If they know how to dodge even a little bit you’ll lose a bunch of health at best. But also don’t stand there blocking. Learn when to attack and when not to. 4. Don’t get overconfident just because you mind trick your opponent with obiwan or rey. If your opponent knows what they’re doing a little bit they’re crush you. Try to navigate to their back with rey if you can since their turn speed is slower. 5. And finally, if you’re fighting a level 800 vader, give up. Obviously jk but be careful with vader because no matter if you’re at full health or 100 health, you’re always one choke away from dying. Keep your eye on him on the minimap and be extra careful if you know/think he has a choke. Try to get him to waste it if you can before engaging him more aggressively. Bonus tip. Watch AnarchyNinja and learn from how he plays especially with heroes lol. Trust me you won’t regret it
Unlike the other 500 vids that say "learning is half the fun" like stfu im tired of getting stomped every fight. Thank u so much for making the only video's that help new people instead of spitting out the same "press right click to attack" video like the rest of YT much love 💘 new sub
Another neat little Yoda trick: friendly fire fills up his unleash ability. I haven’t tested this in a while, but at least as of last summer it was still working, and I’m pretty sure it still does.
You can hit Grievous back when he is in unrelenting advance but most players will try to prevent you from hitting his back so try dodging around him to confuse him and then strike if this doesn't work you can try jump attacking him however this has to be fast as he will likely turn to where your character is facing so if that doesn't work your out of luck until the ability stops
Will you be doing a series guide on how to engage each hero with what hero you're using? Like if you're using Rey, what's the best way to engage Vader, Kylo, Palpatine, etc.
Kind of impossible. There are about 25 different ways it could go if you are playing as kylo and target rey. Depends on hiw old the player is in the game, how many teammates are next to rey and how they are placed, as well in whatatch you are playing, if you have good teammates, what level is the chatacter you are facing and some more stuff
I knew a lot, but some very interesting tips in here! ;) Absolutely incredible tips and tricks. Should have used YT's new "video chapters" fuction though, would have saved me some time XD
I just started playing this game 5 days ago and I’ve been searching for a vid like this it literally has everything I need too learn and know thanks this is a very well made video
Been here since battlefront 2 launch and I gotta say you really improved It was just like yesterday when I first found your battlefront 2 video in 2017
Such a great trick is being able to parry a lightsaber swing. Helps when fighting multiple saber heroes. I do it whenever I’m constantly fighting 1v4s in HvV.
I'm already about 5 minutes into the video and I also consider myself an experienced saver user but I still found video extremely useful and I feel like I learned a lot of new things so I'm definitely going to take this to heart and get back into hero showdown.
Heck I’m a vet and I still learned stuff! Tip number three for Vader I learned on my own it was pretty awesome to learn, I’ve got another tip for Vader. Thanks for the awesome video!! Activate focused rage when you attack to cancel the animation
Vader being able to block while throwing his lightsaber is cool. i thought they would have given it an animation similar to how he deflects the blaster bolts in empire strikes back with his hand
Man, I saw many guides full of shit and nonsense. But your video is like a treasure! This is so useful, you can't even imagine! Many things about this game become clear and understandable to me! I will share this info with my friends, thank you so much!
This is an awesome video. I couldn't help myself but appreciate the amount of effort that's been put into the production of this video. Very detailed, engaging and entertaining. Thank you Ahsoka.
An interesting thing is that blaster heroes and just normal players always have a pattern of rolling when being attacked by a lightsaber. It is usually after 2-3 attacks on them, they will role twice so wait for them to get done with their rolling. Then just keep repeating
Hi Asohka I have never seen your channel before but thoroughly enjoyed this video and was really entertaining the whole way through! I am 100% subscribing!
Even though I didn't feel the need to watch this as I knew alot of it, I still learnt a few little things from it! This was well organised and structured! I do feel a lot of newer players can learn from it
Brilliant video, but I think when dueling a hero that can heal them selves, Dooku’s exposed weakness seems to remove their extra health. Looking forward to part II 🙏🏻
I'm knew and i have to thank you for this i could've been slaughtered without this but lucky me i got the notification before going in. Great vid as always. May the force be with you
Pro tip: when grievous uses thrust surge in the ground you can get a hit or two in depending on the character right after he hits the initial attack for thrust surge
Do this every time. Also 90% of the time when you get those 2 swings in, you can dodge past him and get 2 more from behind because Grievous players usually start swinging after a Thrust.
Alright regardless of what you think of parrying literally everyone and their mom who isn't a bot does it so it's an absolute essential to learn for dueling and it's wild it isn't in here. So this is how you do it: While blocking you attack as soon as an enemy attack hits your block. This works against abilities and saber attacks but in duels you'll be parrying saber attacks a lot more. Something that helped me get it down when I was learning was also listening for the sound queues of when sabers hit your block. Another thing to keep in mind is that parrying will drain stamina quicker since you're both attacking and blocking an attack basically at the same time so watch your Stamina
Thanks for showing me to block Grievous’s claw rush. I find it extremely annoying when players just keep going in circles with it and I’m a Grievous main myself.
Been playing since launch and I'd consider myself one of the best duelists and I'm learning a whole slew of new things. A reminder to always humble myself and be open to learning new things to improve.
Solid advice! But one bit of advice on the lightsaber throw one. If you are in a place where you have plenty of room to dash then preferably you should dash to the sides the moment Vader or Maul throw their sabers because doing that technique of turning around does leave you vulnerable to get choked by Vader or Maul .
He literally pointed that out in the video that it leaves you exposed, that's why you should only do it if you know they don't have an ability. Personally it's just a way to be flashy, I rarely do it.
@@LeeEverett1 Yeah i'm aware that he pointed it out, but I wanted to give my input on the dodging out of the way as he didn't mention it, unless I missed it. Since I personally feel there's less of a drawback overall.
Hey Ashoka! I loved your video. Very insightful! I'd love to see a "how to duel: sabers vs blasters". Mostly, I'd like to learn how to duel sabers as a blaster hero. It seems like in a 1v1 I always lose to sabers. Makes me miss the roll from launch lol.
