Countering jump attacks really just involves reaction timing. You just have to be quick enough to dodge away, parry them, or catch them mid air with an ability. On the jump attack side, you have to be quick and sneaky enough to trick your opponent into lowering their guard, so you can successfully hit them. This involves things like feinting and tricking your opponent into following a false attack pattern, only for you to change it with a jump attack and surprise them. There is no fancy trick to counter it. Just timing and reflexes. And ty, looking forward to building it!
I have tried to do the jump kill but it only registers one hit...i have tried so many times...is it just me or has the feature or whatever been removed?
Very nice video. One question I have is how to open up players that only block and backdash. They can usually go through most cc abilities with that and I can't catch up with them. Is there way to deal with that
try confusing your opponent into thinking you are following a pattern and then go in for the attack or use the jump attacks when they used up their abilities and dodges. Also you can use a jump attack as a follow-up up to an ability like kylos freeze or Vader's choke or Luke's rush etc. MIx it up u will have better luck
Well I know what I'll be doing in any free time I find today! Needing one hit in Trooper modes rather than 2 has got to be worth a few hours in arcade, let alone something new to throw into the dueling mix. Thanks for another great video.

I can do it really quick, quicker than almost everyone I've ever played against, but I've never seen it done as quick as you did it, especially during the 1v3. I didn't even see you make any hand motions and I didn't even see the white triangle that appears when you pull to show your range . How please .
I'm wondering this same thing, as I only have it on console. I think it does, but it's incredibly hard to do with a controller. I'll update you if I finally manage to do it.
@@zachario223 it’s possible Trust me it’s actually easy try get a friend to teach u that’s how I learned it I just watch these vids to get tips on improving them and seeing what I could do to improve it’s actually very easy u can just run to their right shoulder jump turn ur camera to face their back and swing it’s very easy once u do it a couple of times

Maybe that's just for the arcade bots and it would work if I practiced against a friend in split screen, but I haven't been able to confirm otherwise. I've been pretty busy with school and my channel that I haven't had a lot of time to practice, but I'll get back into it soon! Thx y'all!

I play on PlayStation, I figured out how to hook swing without having to raise my sensitivity to the limit. It is hard to time, but if you jump at a lightsaber hero and you swing the second your character gets half way through their lightsaber, you can hit through the block twice and you can turn around to do another hit or two, this has worked well for me
I know I’m late but I’m on console and I’m having a little trouble knowing how high I should jump, where i should aim my reticle, stuff like that. could you help me out?

Yeah good luck on console lol. You can try sensitivity at 100, but other than that, idk what will help. I find controllers pretty clunky with BF2’s combat tbh. It’s still possible to do the first method with it, but it’s probs not worth the risk, as you don’t have the same precision and speed as a mouse
@Yoda it's not impossible but it's too much effort, so I don't recommend it for console. The the second tip is good, you can hit heroes through blocks with it, it's nasty Edit: I don't want to change sensitivity or anything for the jump attack so I don't recommend it.

Both methods have slight differences in their timing and how it’s done. They are similar in method though. 1st method) this is a lot more “with the flow” than the 2nd method, and is more quick and precise. You want to do a small jump PAST an enemy. Then, AS you pass them, press attack while quickly turning your camera around behind you. You should hit them once from the front and once from behind. This method is useful for heroes as it provides a lot of burst damage with the small jumps, which reset your attacks faster than normal attacks However, since you said you’re on PS4, this method may be too hard to do and ultimately not worth it The second method, on the other hand, is much more easy on console. This is done by also doing a jump attack past an enemy, but this time, you press attack and turn the camera just AFTER you pass them. This will allow you to get behind enemy blocks, and also one hit infantry from crazy angles
Both search in the same Moment a Game. In the Options under Ea profile you can change your server to Ireland. On this server you find the Game faster... When you and your friend are not on the same map cancel the search.

@Yoda true, but players like Count Dooku can just dash around or dash backwards into their opponent (I do that a lot) and hit them from behind. Blocking isn’t as op as you think

My main issue with jump attacks is that they require momentum. Most of the time when I start running to do my jump I get caught by an ability.

There is an OBS extension called nohBoard, u can find some tutorials on RUclips. I think its the best one, but there might be other programs out there

I figured out how to do the double damage jump attack on console with 85 sens. Its completely different though
People spamming jump attack now. What are some ways I can counter this?
Just hit them with abilities when they are mid-air or dodge away. Those are the most simple and effective counters

@Yoda You can’t really spam parrying, especially if your low on stamina, they use abilities, or they dash (which is something I do in duels a lot)
