@@E4MBas someone international who learns the game from Madden, yall need to understand we don’t know shit about football. isn’t that what the NFL wanted, to grow the game. I love watching the Manningcast or New Heights coz they love to share basic knowledge for football
Super Cam is the reason I fell in love with the NFL and more importantly the Panthers. I’m a U.K. boy and I got in at the perfect time to watch 90% of Cams career. Love him and love these videos!
I’m 35 years old and this is the first time I have heard someone breakdown the difference between Blitz and pressure 😂and I play OL in high school and we won a state championship 😂
I love how Cam Newton is not SELFISH! He constantly promotes the greatness in other Athletes. Cam’s abilities has been ignored by others, but Cam keeps helping others, ignored or not! 👍💕❤️💕🙏
This is awesome. As an Australian who has only got into Football 5 or so year ago - breakdowns like this (shoutout Brett Kollman for most of my NFL education) are invaluable. Love this.
Man, Cam keep saying "this is football 101!" No it's not! This is a Masterclass. Maybe it's "NFL Football 101 - QB Edition" but us average Joes out here have no clue. These are some fascinating insights. Peg said "what you got like 3-seconds?" Cam said "you ain't got 3-seconds Peg." You'll be running for your life calling mama if you don't know what's happening in 3-seconds.
@@jcreature11 The point is how long it takes to make a decision, not how long until the release. Even throws that take 3 seconds before release, the QB almost always knows where and when to throw prior. But like... this isn't a masterclass at all. Everything he talked about is pretty straight forward. It's not the concepts that are hard, it's the execution.
Cam would still be playing if he was an intellectual of the QB position, I'm not suggesting he's remedial, but he's far from his former mentor, Warren Moon
This is so great. I love the football 101 shit. I never played QB, so my knowledge of the position, reading defenses, etc it relegated to pretty much what i see on the broadcast. This convo gave me so much insight in how the QB not only plays the game, but the way he leverages the game in his favor
He’s in the jets so it’s not looking great. Jets have had good teams over the yrs but never make anything happen. Jets hav an organization issue clearly. Until things change in the organization they will never be good. I like Arron but he made a mistake going to the jets.
@@jcreature11 they won 7 games in b2b seasons with the worst qb play in the league and actually beat and competed with quality teams.. they will win 10-12 games
Bad take they have bad draft picks of QB because those youngins and everyyyy year but few years ago they got new everything behind that organization. That's why their defense has been killer before last year since 2021 they've had top defenses and A-rod is bad and has a legit wr pool it's going to be interesting.@@jcreature11
This. Is. Sports. Content. I find explanations like this WAY more entertaining with sports. We DO NOT CARE about debates of entirely theoretic/semantic subjects, we get that with our friends over beers.
Damn. This has gotta be new. With only 116 k subs. I can’t wait to actually learn something about football this season. The media treats it like a drama or a reality show. I’m hyped for this Cam. Already showing us what kind of magic this could be. 🎉
The difference between every QB and Elite like Rodgers, is they can even see through those disguises he's talking about. They can move people around to break those disguises. They can use hard counts.
I love cam. He was and is a superstar athlete but you know what he might not want to hear this but I think he is a phenomenal podcast personality who’s post career will make us forget about him in the nfl. Cam thanks for keeping it real. I am a fan of you post nfl because you have to much knowledge and your not afraid to tell us your truth.
I just wish had that “thing” left in the tank when he came to NE. He’s always impressed me…even more so with his education of the game for us fans. Love his football breakdowns “101” stuff. I’m also surprised more retired quarterbacks aren’t asst. Or head Defense coaches. They know what they’d be looking for…at least for scheming or tricking the opposing offenses. 🤷🏻♂️
Love the break down of X’s & O’s. Need more of this. 🫡 Sidenote: My safeties coach in college (Fuller) used to be on the Panthers staff with you and he shows us some of y’all practice film all the time.
As a Saints fan I couldn't stand Cam Newton. However, I'm really liking his program and finding him more likeable than the competitive beast he was on the field.
Enjoyed the hell out of this. Would love to hear him speak on how you KNOW the receiver is going to win on a route. I imagine a lot has to do with defender leverage and press v off but id love to hear him tell it
ya'll in the comments have made me realize that i've learned 10x more about x's and o's from playing madden than i ever have from espn. And anytime espn does x's & o's, the segment has to be finished in 1 minute so they can get back to the enormous panel of other folk that need to get their 30 seconds in before commercial break. This is actually such a simple concept too, the defense is going to line up in a way that accounts for every eligible receiver and if Aaron or any QB sees a hole in coverage pre-snap, you're to assume that there's a bluff of a blitz or if they're actually blitzing, there's a open receiver to throw to immediately
To help Cam out as if he needed me too..a pressure can be from a lb or db..depends on the package. You have 5 mandatory protectors..so if the defense send 5 or fewer guys from whatever formation it’s a pressure. A blitz is when you send more guys than you have blockers..
The insight these players can give with their content is unmatched.

Better than anything else people are saying football wise throughout sports media
the little they forget about the game is far more than any of us (non-players) will ever know.
I absolutely love it.
Bro just taught me how to play madden
Real talk 😂😂
On God lol
Lmfaaooo on my momma
Everytime after watching him I go boot up madden n put the tips to use
Just cracked the code on making any pass you want in madden 😂
Xs and Os with a board will help. This is the insight players can give that tv guys cannot give.
I was thinking the same thing.
The tv guys def say these same things, they just have less time to go over it because the next play is about to happen
Yeah we don’t really have QB talk happening on Pat’s show. Peyton and Eli do it a little bit but it happens too fast during the game.
Tv guys: he just doesn’t want it as bad !
Players: He read the play wrong..
@@JohnRichards-r6y Nobody can explain what went wrong. Just sensationalism.
