I live in Italy. My nephew Carmine has MND. He was diagnosed in July 2019. He is 46 and has 3 children and a wonderful wife called Nunzia. They are in the same situation and all my admiration and prayers go out to you. My husband Peppe and I have seen what this terrible disease does.
I think this woman is amazing. All my respect to her and her family. The only thing I cannot help commenting is that I think portraying such difficult situations as all positive can be difficult to watch for people with terminal illness as I doubt that Rob is doing very well all the time. I am sure he has very tough days like anyone else with a terminal illness. I am sure the family every now and then falls apart, it would be inhuman not to. What I am saying is that positivity is admirable but that is only part of the story and not the whole story…I do wish this family all the best.
How I agree with you. My husband is in the advanced stage of MND, and I have not had any carers in to help me yet, and I’m finding it all extremely difficult. He can’t do anything for himself, and I get very stressed as I’m nearly 80. My poor husband very rarely complains, and I try to hide the stress from him, but I can’t always manage it, because I’m only human. God help him.
What a genuinely lovely woman. I can’t imagine a loved one having this evil cruel disease. Literally trapped in ur own body. Most people would give up straight away but how rob has carried on n on is a huge inspiration what a guy. ❤
What a beautiful couple. I believe that this is real marriage. In sickness and health. Anyone there for the tougher times is the only kind of person you ever need.
