When the Bible says God forgets our sins, this doesn’t mean he is unable to recall them. (Isaiah 43:25) Rather, he forgets in the sense that once he forgives, he doesn’t hold those sins against us at some future time. (Ezekiel 33:14-16) Similiarly, forgiving fellow humans does not necessarily mean that we will be unable to recall what they did. However, we CAN forget in the sense that we do not hold it against the offender or bring it up again in the future. With the matter settled, it wouldn’t be appropriate to gossip about it or to avoid the offender completely because that would be unloving. We must do our best to maintain peaceful relations. (Luke 17:3)
So basically we must forgive each other but don't forget because of we forget we can end up in the same situation again.
We do need to put aside or forget what the person has done in that we should not rehash it and keep punishing the person after we have forgiven them. It does not mean we have to subject ourselves to the possibility of it happening again and we can set up a boundary and separate ourselves from the person.
I have a question, before the fall of man into sin, did the angels have knowledge of good and evil? how can Lucifer plan a rebellion in heaven if he doesn't have that knowledge, does he eat of the fruit of knowledge?
