1. Can you please explain 1 John 5:17?
2. I am a Seventh-day Adventist and have some friends who are not. Sometimes they ask if they can use my property for celebrations on Sabbath. Can I allow them to use my place for their activities or does it offend God since it is happening "within my gates" on a Sabbath?
3. Was the sermon Jesus preached in Matthew 5 to His disciples?

Hello friend,
Even though a believer sleeps in death until the resurrection the next conscious thought they have is the resurrection and being present with the Lord. There is no immortal soul.
Keep in mind Paul also wrote the following…
1 Corinthians 15:51-54 Behold, I tell you a mystery: We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed- 52 in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. 53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. 54 So when this corruptible has put on incorruption, and this mortal has put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written: “Death is swallowed up in victory.”
1 Thessalonians 4:15-17
15 For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord will by no means precede those who are asleep. 16 For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. 17 Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord.
(It’s clear that the believer isn’t given immortality until “the last trumpet” at the resurrection.)

It's time to think and research for ourselves...I refuse to tithe to an ecumenical General Conference, nor will I donate to an ADRA NGO which promotes the Climate change agenda of Rome. There are a number of independent ministries which make far better use of those funds.

Hey Sherie in Washington read Deuteronomy 14:22-26, this will give you the truth about what God wants you to do with your tithe. The answer that was given from Malachi is flat out deception perpetuated by all churches. This message was to the priests that were stealing, not the people. He was talking to the preachers and the pastors. And he is still talking to them today. The church has hoodwinked the sheep. God does not desire your money, money is detestable to God. He wants your time, relationship. Amen!
