I really enjoy your videos. They are informative and relatable. I tried portrait photography and found myself to be overwhelmed learning about lighting and what equipment works best and then finding clients eventually. That turned me off and I stopped my studio operations. Now, I am at square one.... what type of photographer I want to be? My passion is wildlife and landscape photography however, I am interested in product photography as a side hustle. Your videos have inspired me to take a chance and do something I really want to do. I started by following your link for the light and modifiers. However, I found a really good deal at B&H that included 2 Impact 180w moonlights and 2 Raya Octa Soft boxes. I learned how to use the mono lights and modifiers then started to really enjoy my new endeavor. So much more to learn when using artificial lighting. Pretty much a new World. I'm really enjoying my playtime and look forward to my first portfolio soon. Thank you for sharing your experience and expertise with all of us. I look forward to watching more of your RUclips channel.

Regarding the website, have just one. What you can do is have it very well organised so the potential clients can see clearly that your main niche is portrait. Then, have a separate tab in the menu for product photography.

How do I get the client to send their products so I can shoot from home? I want to start a product photography business and thinking to start within my local community. I’ve got the equipment at home but how the client can trust me to give their products for photo shoot? Thanks
What was your method for finding these sort of brands like that water bottle? I struggle to find the brands that are start ups and in most need of this sort of work. I live in a big city so I know the work is definitely out there. What should I be searching for on instagram? How much less would you charge for smaller brands who don't have the budget? Do you communicate that you're willing to offer them a more affordable rate?

I love your videos, you have a new subscriber! I would like to know, if I am starting from zero, and i have to contact a first brand, I would photograph just the things i have at house since i don't have previous experiences with brand products, but those aren't "credible" for the brand. In few words, they will know i don't have any experience in product photography! So how can one do a portfolio starting from zero but being still catchy?
Hi Angel Rosen! :) Thank you so much! I'm so happy to have you around here! :) The brand you are going to contact won't know if you don't have any experience. That's why doing a nice portfolio is crucial. You can shoot at home but try to do it the best you can and shoot credible items. For example, if you are going to approach a jewellery brand, take beautiful shots of jewellery you may have. Flat lays, studio shots (if you have a studio), or just close-ups of details.
Once you get nice shots done, do the portfolio with those. You don't have to put in the email that you don't have experience! Just the opposite. :) Show them the jewellery photos and tell them that you do product photography and you like their product. You would love to help them out with the photography. Show always confidence and let the portfolio speak by itself! If they like what they see, nobody will care if you didn't do it before (even though as I said, they don't need to know that) :D I hope that helps! ❤

What is the minimum room size for Home Studio
Hi Spruka! That's entirely up to your space and the gear you shoot with. For product photography, you literally need just a table. I did product shots on my coffee table very easily. For a portrait photography studio, I did professional work in a tiny bedroom. You would need to shoot with a wider lens. All you need is a wall. :))
