Love Victor Wooten, it’s like he’s every soloists dream- he will lay out a solid groove no matter who is playing- guitarist, sax, keys, vocals, name it- he will pave the way for you , fully customised on the spot- for you to solo all you like.
Victor has occasionally been criticized by some for overplaying but this shows him at his most musical. There’s much more to his playing than the pyrotechnics he’s known for. I’ve had the privilege of talking to him and he’s true gentleman, humble and musically generous.

Every time I listen to Eric play I get overcome with so much emotion that I think he is so at one emotionally with the instrument it just comes at me like lightning bolts! Thank you Eric.
One day, Eric Gales & Derek Trucks are going to evolve beyond human musical expression and morph into pure energy, taking their guitars with them in the transition and becoming beautiful additions to the universe's vibrations and colors.
I'm dead serious... Eric GALES #BOOM is LITERALLY one of the most talented guitar players Ive ever seen. I've seen him DOZENS of times and he 1. Never fails to blow the audiences minds 2. Never fails to seem like he has improved at his craft 100% over the last time you saw him play. God bless Eric cant wait to see you again soon
See...I came back here to listen again, and I don't hear what people are saying. This is RAW collaboration, in the moment. Victor was given space by Eric AND cheered on by Eric too. Same thing happened in the first video. Both players have ample skill, and are able to convey themselves well on their instrument. If you can pull back and listen to them as a unit, it's quite energizing.
Fantastic. I just love to hear two people inspiring each other as they play, pushing boundaries, and setting new benchmarks for those that follow. What a stunning jam.
Eric Gales has just shown us why he is indeed one of the hottest guitarists on the planet - I believe even Victor was impressed. That being said, Eric took all the space on this nights performance and basically disregarded Victors presence.
