I was there, I remember pulling up on Friday and Tim walking by telling us that the power was out so there’s no show for a while. This was also the first place I had green giant harvest burgers, those things changed my life.
holy shit. I was here! I remember it being at random VFW hall and not part of MTM fest but regardless it's incredible to see footage of this. Thanks for posting this. It's one of the best live experiences I've ever witnessed.
It was so hot in this building. As I recall, this place was run by a biker gang that lived in a house behind it? I remember the power going out and walking outside to a drum circle that had formed in the back. I had my camcorder with me, but decided nor to record Avail because I just wanted to enjoy the show. I do have video of Split Lip (Chamberlain) playing though.
The place you're thinking of is Brookwood Hall; there were a ton of shows there around the same time that this Avail show happened. A lot of really great shows there happened over the years. The only one I remember (*huuuge caveat there) where the power briefly went out was during Delta 72. But yeah, no plumbing let alone AC. I do remember going to shows in the dead of winter and huddling around a fire outside between bands

Not at first, it started in 93 in Dayton and didn’t move to Columbus until maybe 95.
