I am so impressed with the exhaustive technical considerations in regard to this install ! Lets face it, 100LL has to be phased out with its very high lead content. The needless accidents and incidents that occur each year with carb icing given our technological advancements since carburetors, just seems archaic to me. I am beginning to believe that instead of the search for the "holy grail" of a fuel replacement, the solution may in fact be better engineering to accommodate automotive fuel. Very nicely done Rotax Canada!

Just remove ethanol from premium automobile gasoline and that should be fine for any modern engines. For old engines, I guess keep 100LL around.

Excellent overview of how the 912iS functions with the CH 750.
    Very informative and helpful. Thanks!

Mark, Thanks for a great job with this presentaion. Your discritption of systems detail makes this one hour well spent by anyone with a vested interest in EFI aircraft engines. Where do I apply for the course credit? Thanks again, Jerry

About 30+ minutes into the presentation Rotax rep didn't answer the question about "identifying" a failed injector to the pilot, instead he stated that the computers would transfer full fuel flow to the working injector which was not the question that was asked.

That is the most information I have ever received on a Rotax Engine although it left me with more questions than answers. If the tanks are T together how do you have control over which tank you draw from , also does the return line from the Header tank go to only 1 tank or do you have it T'ed to both tanks? Having a Header Tank really complicates the fuel system set up .

With these fuel lines could the folding wings option would still work ?

Not sure the air outlet in front of the windshield was well though through! What happens if there is an engine oil leak ... your visibility goes to zero in a very short period of time! and that fuel sediment trap bracket looks like a vibration fatigue issue just waiting to happen.

Can this engine be a pusher on a ATV Flying machine and how much would it change the setup? Can it lift 2,400 lbs with a high capacity aerial para wing?? Can one fuel system be designed to run another ground engine switched between the two assuming it was similar engine. IF not what engine would you recommend with that type of requirement??

Доброго времени суток. Я из России с самой глубинки. Как можно получить чертежи подобного самолёта для самостоятельной постройки?

Great design and great engine, but no variable pitch propeller. I think the lack of a VP prop system limits the performance of such design.

I wonder if this can be done for the Icon A5. Is there a turbo charged version with pre lube injector?

I think Icon is waiting for the new Rotax 915 engine (basically a turbo 912iS) to power their Icon A5 plane.

RechargeableLithium Amen. This would have been a great 20 minute video as that is how much time it would taken if everything had not been repeated five times. 😁
