I’ve always wondered about how Toothless feels about the whole “last of his kind” thing.. like, did he grow up alone? What about his parents? Does he know what happened to them? What about siblings? In Riders of Berk (I think) when Hiccup and Toothless are misled into thinking they found an island of Night Furies, does the excitement that Toothless expresses upon spotting a “night fury” suggest that he’s been unwillingly alone for at least a section of his life? Hmm I dunno, those are just a few questions and thoughts floating around in my head :P
I know toothless's story guys he was with his brothers and sister and also there was his dad and mum who were alpha night furies and one day the red death came to attack them so toothless's mum told him and his brothers and sisters to leave they were flying away but there parents died and his brothers and sisters got caught by the fires of the red death toothless could barely survive but luckily only his tail got burned and he killed his own king which was the red death
The Light Fury subspecies/breed are closer to the origional dragon breed. The origional fury was a self-camoflaging dragon with energisticaly reactive scales which act as a massive mirror system breaking up the silouet and showing the color of surroundings with a light gray mottled coloration (like the scales around the light fury's eyes) Two poulations of this dragon emerge from the Hidden World. The smaller population settles in a tundra environment where their light coloration was an advantage becoming the light Fury subspecies as they became fully white and their scales began to emphasise their refractive properties. The other population finds a food rich area with one big problem, an highly agressive territorial species hich utilizes lightning now known as The Skrill. The Fury poulation loses their softer scales over time as to better endure the Skrill's assault on them, taking on a darker coloration to blend into the clouds and making their scales less reactive due to constant overstimulation by the lightning, these adaptations give rise to the far more successfull Night Fury.
That’s really not how evolution works, once a species splits, the other has to adapt to the new surroundings and the other can just simply continues it’s tactic since it doesn’t really have to. It could be that the common ancestor of night furies and light furies seperated, the fury dragons that entered the vikings territor evolved to be night fury and the rest could possibly lived in the cold, that’s why light furies have white colors.
@@victor_4301 might be like cats and dogs with the different furs, body shapes and personality yet they’re still parts of dog and cat respectively, prob just a breed of fury
When the poster was first leaked, I honestly thought that the Light Fury was just what the females of Toothless's species looked like. That they were taking a play on sexual dimorphism.
If toothless blends with the night sky that means the light fury blends in with snow environment even if it snows due to her colour and her scales being all sparkly that’s my theory
SonicBoom 3475 also maybe ice too, (shiny) and maybe that they really are a subspecies/other way around and night furies simply adapted to love in warmer places(toothless breathes fire on the ground to warm his sleeping space) like say, areas that don't snow nine months of the year and hail the other three, also they mainly eat fish, and swim quite well, kinda like seabirds, so it would make sense for them to live in warmer climates that don't have such snowy conditions
Night furies can do that to but it requires much more energy as we see in the movie toothless uses lightning to "go invisible" and he almost goes unconscious
MY FURY THEORY: the night fury was the original type but due to hunting they went underground loosing their pigment turning white the invisibility is a little harder to explain away but the underground world had bioluminescence to make it short they adapted their own form of it that requires a charge first hence the plasma blast they have to go thru
I think toothless can disappear for a moment because he kind evolved in 2nd movie when he rescued hiccup (you know the scene where toothless jump into the ice and then it exploded)
@@MrMinii2007 nah, hes talking about httyd 2 , he meant that when toothless exploded on the ice, he comes out with some blue lightning on is body, and httyd 2 is way way before httyd3 or hidden world
@@thierryjeconiah7621 yeah when he exploded the ice and had the blue glow thats because toothless compressed in all that energy and therefore had such powerful shots and all, but when tooothless used the lightning to make himself disappear he didnt do that becuase he didnt have that glow.He could have done it all along but he wouldnt have come across that abilitiy on accident since he has to really use all his strength to have the heat of the lightning reflect his scales to make him disappear.
I think night furies are male version and light furies female version EDIT: This was before the movie or more trailers so i could not have known that there is male light furies. Thanks for the feedback though.
Alan Playz did you steal my idea like most other people do or did you come up with this yourself? Cause I've commented the exact same thing (different words tho) on a lot of videos....
Tawain TV first thing I thought of it as soon as I found out about a 3rd movie. You realise it's very common for people to think that, look at birds. Male and females are different colours. That's like me saying Oh, I'm going to try and capture Europe. Oh wait, Hitler stole my idea!! Waaa. Shut up and watch the damn video and stop wasting people's time
I think (because of the games) Toothless (it is literally said on the cards) is said to be a titan wing night fury. That's why he had all the extra "fins."
Good theory but as said Toothless is as old as Hiccup but Titanwings need to reach their adulthood first. Consitering how long dragons live Toothless is a juveline. Although it is true Toothless is bigger than the light furyes and has a different color and gets his special marks in the secon film it is infact possible for him to be a Titanwing if he is in adulthood. And in the series we rarely see a Titanwing Nightfuryes could be the Titanwing form of light furyes. But. . . sadly Toothles is only an alpha. As we see in the series Titanwings are mostly two times the original dragons size. While yes Toothless got his blue neon markings it will only be seen once activated so it's more like a hidden power. Yes Titanwings get a hidden piwer but they also grow extra claws or bigger wings or more spikes but those can't be deactivated. Wow this is alot. I could go on why he is only an Alpha but I think this is enough. I support the theory but twothings proves me right 1. Age 2. Markings.
There's two more light furies in one of the scenes in the trailer, where they were on the giant crystal, so I don't think the light fury would be a mutation. If Toothless was a mutant? That would be possible, but no. Valka says something about Toothless being the only one left of Night Furies, so that says that there were more. And, the story of Night Furies went wayy back. Even though there were little information about Night Furies, I highly doubt he was a mutant from Light Fury species. Nice video though!
YES THEY ARE SUBSPECIES BECAUSE DEAN DEBLOIS CONFIRMED IT!!! Edit: and they didnt know toothless was last of his kind YET. when hiccup could not find any Night Furies hiccup JUST ASSUMED THERE WERE NO MORE LEFT!!' And grimmel has a killer dragon behind him, the *DeathGripper.* it likes to kill too as what i read?
Lunar Games in my opinion the deathgripper kills other dragons but not because he likes it In the httyd world the environment is sane because there are not too much dragons, thanks to predators like changewing, scauldron, death song that reduce their number Maybe the deathgripper does the same, but can kill every dragon Grimmel used this ability to kill night furies, maybe training them to be cruel
Well, maybe the Night Fury species is all mutations of the Light Furies. Maybe there was one or two mutated L.F.s, and then a new, much rarer subspecies was created. Because of the N.F.'s rarity, Grimmel was more encouraged to hunt them.
Same. I guess they just didn't want another Shrek incident.😄😄 Gosh the potential this franchise had. He had som honor, he just doesn't care if #1) they betray/disrespect him first, & #2) if they were a treat to him trying to help ppl. Details on his story could've helped. No matter. A villains a villain, & despite him wanting to make "a better world" it was still "misguided passion". Still tragic, tho.
what if night furies are just a legend given to toothless's breed when it was first seen by the Vikings , and in reality toothless is a hybrid between two other known legendary dragon species
Indominusrex688 or how can you know that all animals turn to fossils, actually about 0.3% to 3% turn to fossils due to the fact that the conditions have to be just right and that answer might even be generous. Also maybe a dragons body is fragile on the inside basically disintegrating their whole body over the tests of time. Speculate for me because I have a page full of ideas but this is the most prominent.
We all know that in httyd 2 toothles was known to be at hiccups' age, that mean that their were a male and a female night fury about 18 years ago. And the vikngs never killed a night fury (thier was no informations in the dragon book). So maybe toothles is from the hidden world and maybe that he can also do the telportation if he knew how. Thx for reading
Yousuf Eslam maybe bcs toothless doesnt know hes full capabilities.... Maybe he can do much more than cloaking...Did u see the trailer of httyd 3 toothless summoned lightning
Yousuf Eslam Bork did encounter night furies according to the book of dragons special,so i'd guess there were a couple hundred night furies in and around the archipelago.
Lps Fun strawberry not quite. Albinoism means lack of pigmentation in skin, hair, eyes, and other parts of the body. They are pale but have blue eyes generally. Only in cases of strong albinoism does one have red eyes.
Clearly toothless would have come into conflict at some point in the movies with another night fury if their territory was so large, Great White sharks own the entire sea and come into conflict in the amount of time that toothless has existed, and they are an endangered spices which is extra proof of the point that toothless is likely the last.
@Harper Smith great whites, orcas, sperm whales, colossal squid, dolphins, the list goes on, there are many apex predators in the ocean which do share territory but they all own the sea, doesn’t matter if you do or do not agree, great whites agree with me and they do swim almost literally anywhere they want to prove it.
Toothless could be a mutated light fury, but I think this is unlikely because of toothless’s unique abilities. The light duty is able to use a plasma blast and virtually disappear from sight and blend in with the environment. While night fury’s (toothless) has the glowing blue scales down his back which I guess makes his plasma attack stronger, and also he has the lightning ability..... Let me know what you guys think of this because I am very interested what everyone thinks.
Loan Nguyễn first of all it's Scrat and second you don't think I know who the character is dude ice age is one of my childhood movies so I know all the characters
Solidation HCF there’s a reason they all it NIGHT fury and LIGHT fury. They are two different species. It’s like breeding an northern white rhino with a southern white rhino. They are both rhino, but they are not the same species of rhino
I believe that there are more night furies out there like it said. that they're very Elusive and very intelligent so they would find somewhere else to hide where man hasn't been to
The light fury may be able to “disappear” because of her blast not because she teleported to a “hidden world” but maybe just because fire makes smoke, which is black. So if the light fury was covered in smoke she would be harder to see. Or maybe it is a type of blast that creates a charcoal covering, covering up the scales causing her to be, well, basically invisible. Towards the end of the second movie, Gothie (I don’t know how to spell her name) takes a bit of charcoal (at least I think it’s charcoal) and creates a design on Hiccup’s forehead that is pitch black which of course is the color of the night which is the *perfect* camouflage for any albino dragon in the dark. After all we don’t know what a light fury can do considering we have never seen or even know that they even existed until the third movie. I mean, this dragon can turn invisible! Think about that. All of the other things she can do, we don’t even know about. The possibility’s are endless! But then again it could be a plasma blast or she *can* teleport into a hidden world. Whatever the case we’ll probably find out in the third movie. That’s my guess.
6:04 - You have the moth thing backwards. Prior to the Industrial Age in England the lighter moths were the norm and the darker ones were more easily hunted. During the Industrial revolution the soot from all the coal burning coated the bark of the Silver Birch trees near London on which this moth liked to hide. Suddenly, it was the darker moths that could now hide easier near the city and the lighter moths were picked off en masse. Away from the city the lighter moths could still hide effectively on the cleaner silver birch trees.
You know I think the mistake here was calling her something else all together. Parakeets, horses, dogs come in different colors. Subspecies like ring neck parakeets, and budgerigars, German Shepherds, and Beagles. Threw out the two movies it showed different species of dragons, all had different colors and patterns for a certain breed. There has been times in the past that even biologist have made mistakes in the real world, the Hyena they though all females lived underground, before they found out that both male and female have an odd genitals., another time when two butterflies where placed as separate species , turn out they saw the two mating that it was in fact was uncovered they where both the same. Maybe the Vikings in this story are hitting the same wall quick to call it something. The only thing I could see that could make her different is the fact she has a different back spine it is solid , where Toothless broken up in to sections, which then it divided again with Hickup's mother chiropractic back adjustment. He could be he is just male too, or older, we still have yet to see what hatchlings will look like after having them to theory weave any more. Even then I do not see another movie after this, the rest will lie with books written by fans and Disney alike. But who knows with a company like Disney, all you can hope for is that it can keep a story line going that is good, and not run it to the ground.
@@PANG0LIN HAHAHA I made this comment over a year ago, you just got to it now, haha. You do know who owns Dreamworks, Don't you? Disney purchased Comcast and Dreamworks back in 2006. @Flight of Light If one company "Company A" owns a other" Company B", the Company A , can tell what Company B what it can do and what it can't do. Just Like when Disney called Dana White and told him not to do any fights while the surge of Covid-19 was on the rise. Why Because the UFC, ESPN, and ESPN+ are all owned by Disney. Disney bought Comcast/Dreamworks because those two companies went hand and hand. Dreamworks may have made the movie, BUT, it is owned by Disney. Nothing happens unless approved by "Company A"
Remember in httyd 2 when Hiccup's mom showed Hiccup "hidden features" of Toothless? Kind of showing that there's a lot more to learn about his dragon. I'm saying this because you guys are saying that Toothless should/can "teleport" as well. I'm basically saying that Toothless still hasn't met his full potential.
EDIT: Louell Dacanay then he’ll have physical and health problems blah blah blah. its kinda strange sine the past 8 years, toothless was classified as a pure bred night fury. But ever since the light fury was introduced to the franchise, People were thinking if toothless was a hybrid, or maybe one of his parents was a light fury, etc. I don't think dean deblois has ever heard of the light fury in the last 2 movies.
@@johnnguyen4572 Not necessarily. Some hybrids are successful, like Coyote Wolves or Grizzly and Polar bear hybrids. However these are reptile so I am not sure.

Alexandra EXAMINE THE THING IN QUESTION BEFORE TRYING TO CRITICISE IT also never judge a video by its name is basically the number one phrase at suiting RUclips
That’s interesting What if the night furies spread out when Grimmel started attacking. He only attacked in a certain area where there was a large amount. He kept searching but found nothing. That’s when some evolved into light furies.
Interesting theory, would explain the scarcity of Night Furies since they’re now spread over a larger area. Perhaps the Fury hunting began long before Grimmel, so the dragons dispersed and fled to other areas. And it would mean that there are multiple species of Furies that have evolved to survive wherever they may be. Maybe Light Furies are a kind that naturally live in snowy areas or a ‘tropical’ place where they can afford to have flashy appearances.
When I first saw the cloaking ability in the trailer my immediate thought was “What if it started off with only Light Furies that had no camouflage and some evolved into Night Furies and others evolved the ability we see in said trailer
Michael Robinson It may be possible that he is actually a Light Fury but due to natural selection, he was born with dark scales OR he was born with Melanism I don't know for sure but that's my theory XD
so i heard the "light fury flying through own plasma = invisibility" thing, my theory on it is that since plasma is purple it's really really hot right? almost how blue stars are extremely hot, (just a theory) so if that happens, when a light fury flies through it's own plasma it could heat up the scales to the point where it causes a reflection for a specific amount of time, while with a night fury it doesn't work as well because of the adaptation to night, and not really needing to cloak itself while a light fury would have to as it is as white as snow and would be spotted almost anywhere, other than the sky in clouds and such. :I just a theory. Edit: or maybe she's like one of those fish that are transparent, flying through her own plasma creates an effect that lasts for a while being able to see right through her, without seeing internal organs or anything.
Also something that helps the Light Fury is her smooth, glittery, shiny scales. Toothless' scales are bumpy, rough, and matte. They're also black and adapted to simply flying in the night sky with their black or dark blue coloring, while Light Furies fly in the day or in the moonlight as they're white and have special powers to become invisible when they can't blend in. But in Berk it snows for 9 months and hails for the other 3, the Light Fury is white like snow, so if she's in snow she blends in, as well as a ton of hail.
Leilani Rivera yes she does maybe they are a species of snow fury that migrated to hotter weathers and evolved into night furies. If nit may evolved and the rest died that makes sense why there so rare. This is just a theory I made up a sec ago
But this wouldn't make sense as in the end you see 3 lightfuys toothlesses girlfriend and the other 1 with a baby so if 1 is a mutation at all it would be toothless but I dont think either of them are a mutation sorry if this sounded rude but that was what I though thx
i do believe that it could be the other way around just night furies are more dangerous perhaps (since berk's people were so afraid of them in the first movie)
Fun fact: in the third movie, the hidden world scene you can see a light fury and her baby. This could mean they toothless is a more evolved version of the light fury.
Okay guys stop being so mean! If you don't like her voice, then don't watch her vids and trash talk about her. Just leave the channel if you're gonna be like that.
1:26 Did you read that the lightfury had scales that blended in with the environment? If so where. Because in the how to train your dragon 3 trailer the lightfury teleports. 2 times. 1:59 the lightfury HAS to be a sub-species, because of distinct shape of the dragon. It is 100% the same as Toothles's body. May not obtain the same abilites but still. Also I know this thing is a whole theory but I would like to give Input. 6:29 I don't think Toothless could be a mutated lightfury because the guy that said "I have hunted every NIGHTFURY except yours" there, yes could be more lightfurys and nightfurys out there but this would mean there are very few as you have said.
Night Furies are among the most intelligent dragons out there, also one of the fastest. We know there used to be more out there because there were legends and myths about them. I think the only reason we see more light furies is because they were able to hide more easier than night furies. For all we know these dragons could live hundreds of years.
Sweet Theory They could be sexually dimorphic similar to Monster Hunter's Rathian and Rathalos, which are similar to Toothless and The Light Fury (Technically the same creature yet different colors due to their gender)
There's three Light Furies in the movie, THE Light Fury, another adult, and a juvenile. You can see the adult and juvie in the background roaring with Toothless in one of the trailers. So no, Light Furies are not all female
Maybe they are the same species but ones have more melanine and other are albinos and maybe there’s a third type of fury which could be “normal” (without any “change in their skin colour), and both the night fury and the light fury adapted to their changes in colour, because if they didn’t they would be in a very big disadvantage, also maybe they all have the same abilities but depending on their colour they use the most beneficial to them. (Sorry for my bad grammar I’m not a native English speaker:)Also I forgot to say that if that was the case it would have sense that they are so rare.
If their original species are a night fury toothless is black so he probably is in the original family of night furies the main branch of the family. So since they already confirmed that the white fury is a sub species of the night furies so then it is unlikely in my opinion that he has adapted.
In the tv show the Speed Stingers (sorry if the name is wrong) it says that they have adapted or evolved. Maybe Toothless is evolved to blend in with the night sky or maybe he's a subspecies instead of the Light Fury. I don't think that the colors vary due to gender, they don't have it shown with other dragons. In the Strike class, they don't have this trait but it's not impossible for it to happen. Her frills to count her age are also on the back of her ears. She's eighteen (I've counted) and it shows that's she's a different species. Like the monstrous Nightmares and the Bewilderbeast they can be different colors but often have the same attributes. They maybe cousin species. Changewings and Dramillions are distant cousins and don't look the same so maybe the Night and Light Furies are close cousins or subspecies to one another. If there is another movie (which I know won't happen) they could show that either the two can have offspring or not. It all depends on if they can or not. If they can, then they're the same species and one of them has a birth defect or they're just male-female appearance. In the game, Rise of Berk there's an offer for Stormfly's offspring which looks pretty similar to her. Along with Meatlug we can conclude that dragons of the same species stay in the same of their type. We haven't seen any cross breeds either. If they can't then they're subspecies of one another or to something else. The director has said that Toothless is the last Night Fury, so it is possible that he's not a mutation. On the subspecies subject, Light and Night Furies can be under a great Fury. I don't know. I'm ranting to much and I wanna continue but I need to organise myself and do a bit of research.
The one about Light Furies being females is untrue, as in one of the trailers you can see another adult and a juvenile in the background. But I dunno, good theory tho
Foxy_clash king no there’s a video out the baby has all black but it’s stomach is white it is my last recent like if your able to see it 😊 (it’s a spoiler tho for the ending )
My theory is toothless actually came form the hidden world but was separated from his family and he grew up in the human world. Maybe he could do the teleport thing because he has not learned it yet. It is like pokemon the more and more experience the pokemon gets from battle or something the more moves that pokemon learn. So maybe the light fury was more experience than toothless and he has still more time to learn the teleportation move. Or maybe toothless is a hybrid from a night terror and a skrill even though that is highly unlikely that is all I can think of
Great! Thanks for telling me! I had high hopes (does that mean jitters?) on this movie because people were hating on the trailer of it!! But I'm glad the movie was good :)
Sorry to say, it doesn't work too much. There are three Light Furies in one of the trailers, including an adult and juvenile, and from what I know they need a male and female to reproduce
Night Furies and Light Furies are completely different breeds. There are still more Light Furies out there, but Toothless is the last Night Fury. All of these were confirmed by the director.
Have you heard of the term common ancestor it's possible that in the past the light fury and the night fury where the same species (not night lights those are hybrids) so here goes group A and group B, group A was a night predator and also hunted during storms while group B was a day predator so group A evolved to have darker scales so they would have an easier time hunting becoming the night furies while group B developed lighter scales for the same reason but were hunting by day this theory also explains the sand wraith and the wooly howl so I will be brief with this one sand wraith evolved to blend in with the sand wooly howl lives in places where snowstorms are the norm so they evolved to look like that
The hidden world could also be responsible for the mutation of the light furries. Those dragons that hiccup and Astrid were riding when they went to find toothless in the hidden world also began glowing as soon as they got inside.
Tyler Shewchuk i thought the same thing although i was a little bit earlier but hey you may never know we might be right including others who thought the same thing
Dragon Lady but at the same time we must not forget the skrill and the light fury are both subspecies meaning i don't think those to dragons can breed so i don't really think the night fury is a hybrid between those to dragons
Latoya Shepperd I get what you mean BUT theres a youtuber I follow cald hello future me and one of his videos are of how the night fury and skrill could be related. Its really interesting🤗
I think that the villain in the 3rd movie was just bluffing bc I would really want to see more Night Furies or Light Furies and I think that there will be more in the hidden world but who knows. There could be more to httyd 3 than we think.
I personally feel that night furies should’ve been just one species, not have a subspecies without a soul. Even if I did like the light fury I wish they would’ve given her a sense of personality, or give us an albino night fury or an arctic variation, that had to adapt since the found out humans “knew” that night furies couldn’t survive in the cold. It would reflect the intelligence of toothless onto the light furies that inhabit the foreign landscape, and I feel many different things should’ve been changed in the movie. For example, instead of toothless and hiccup parting ways, toothless can go with the light fury for a few months to raise their offspring, like the dragons in GOTNF did, then return with their hatchlings to befriend hiccups kids, witch reflects the bond of dragons an humans. Another thing is that I would add flashbacks to toothless’s family, and not just hiccup and stoick. I know that stoick died and it was sad, but if as they stated the movie was to be “toothless’s turn” shouldn’t they have tried to make it apparent, especially in a kids movie that people use against the light fury design? Makes no sense does it? Thirdly they should’ve really looked into animal logic standpoint in the situation that one single human obliterated an entire species of the smartest, fastest, and near strongest dragons to be known to mankind. Grimmel’s plan with the light fury wasn’t very intelligent either which isn’t helping his case to prove he killed every night fury. The factor that toothless is still alive today makes it more likely to have dozens of hidden night fury clans in numerous hidden places in the world besides the clan of adapted light furies. I explained the design of my own light furies and the males look identical but with darker, more visible grey speckles on their backs and a bit more coloring to impress the females, such as more blues or sparkles to attract potential mates while still being able to hide in their habitat fairly well. One factor that people use against hiding when it comes to light furies is “they can go invisible!” When a light fury goes invisible, or THE light fury, she never uses it for her own good firstly, and what people don’t notice is there is a loud “boom” noise when she flies through her plasma blast because that’s the nose that night furies and like furies make: high pitched and booming sounds before striking. Toothless uses this tactic against humans, however this tactic works for him because he doesn’t shook his plasma blast until they least expect it. The light fury constantly fires a plasma blast to fly through it to “hunt” which not only makes a loud noise, but you can see her actually fly past it before she disappears, which provokes prey to run away even before she can dive down and snatch a fish or sheep. Of course she can attack, but they literally made her claws duller…so uhm. And apparently she’s mutated because of the albino axolotl that she’s based on, while the normal axolotls are similar in color to toothless, which is why I used reindeer, arctic foxes, and arctic wolves to make my light furies, and to compare, I used silver/black foxes, grey wolves, and moose for night furies. (I know that neither of those dragons are based off deer or moose but I based the light fury on Snow White tigers and based toothless on black leopards and panthers) so those are my thoughts and ty for reading! This is just my opinion but you can have your own too
@@SimperingSimpleton_ I made some designs of the nightlights. They would have similar variants of both parents combined. For example: I designed one of the nightlights (named Runa) as a female with grey, sparkles scales and more turquoise-ish eyes which kinda change to green when exposed to sunlight, similar to many blue eyed people or animals. Runa has spikes on her back but not on her head, with a similar tail shape to her mother but with wings and secondary fins similar to toothless. Her ear nubs are the same amount as both of her parents- but will only make it to four/five pairs of ear thingys they have, with lighter and darker greys. This grey coloration benefits her in rain clouds where she can hunt freely without being captured, still being able to endure freezing temperatures and have combined powers as her parents. (I made four nightlights and gave them all names) the other nightlights are another female named onyx, I kept pounced the way he is because he’s amazing but with a slightly different design method, and another male named tempest. They all have spike, wing, secondary, color, eye color, AND power variants that make them seem more like a hybrid then the nightlights in the homecoming, since they have the same models and blocky colors- however I will admit pounced and onyx are practically opposites. I also did have an idea of the albino night fury or simply a normal female that has a few differences but they give her quite an advantage. I even changed to hidden world to be an unknown island, full of night furies and/or light furies, covered in snow and ice, and inside the mountain at the center there would be a hidden blue/green forest or jungle infested with fireflies, fresh water, and bountiful food sources where the fury dragons decided to stay. I did make it so that the night lights were already around for a while and adapted to their strange coloration, so that during the movie or in homecoming we could see adult nightlights teaching toothless and Lumi’s babies how to adapt and hide using their colors! It would be adorable and it makes sense to me, especially if night furies are social animals and raise their kids as couples, it would be nice to see the nightlights learning how to blend in using not only their adaptations from their parents, but they can also learn about their new powers- there could even be a side show about it and that could’ve been the nine realms or there could be a side show to represent where the hell valka was for the last 20 freakin years. Another thing is that since Lumi and toothless Left temporarily to raise their kids to be old enough to fly, there would be constant scenes with hiccup or toothless visiting, even Lumi coming every now and then as one parent stays with the kids as the other visits hiccup and his family, the other dragons would also be raising their kids for winter, having the Vikings fend for themselves and not rely on their dragons as much, which is a better moral of the movie because not only was berk crowded with dragons, but they also depended TOO much on them to survive. Having them leave for the winter gives the Vikings time to learn that they can still live without their dragons, because they have done so before all the way until they met them, because remember that dragons and Vikings were enemies 6 years before THW occurred. Thanks for listening and I can give some more information about the nightlights designs soon!
My theory:the light furies are actually snow furies that migrated south and some evolved some didn’t and the ones who didn’t died off, I can explain why the snow fury may be a good theory: 1.Light furies are white and can easily blend in with snow 2.Light furies have shiny/snow looking scales which makes this make more sense 3.the light fury could be evolved like the night fury but evolved a cloak instead And that’s just my theory
Both of them are normal speices. Grimmel said he hunted down every NF exept Toothless. So there's more NF, and they are not mutated. For those weak-brained ppls who think that the Lightfury is the female wersion of the Nightfuryes I explain, why they are wrong. If grimmel said there was more nightfury that means there are females too. Also, same with Lightfuryes. I'm done with this channel. The creator is just throwings random things to us. It's so simple that the Nightfuryes are normal speices.
There can be multiple males in population...Just because he killed multiple Night Furies doesn't mean the female/male theory is completely wrong. I don't really believe that theory since they classify her under a different name, but it's not completely irrelevant..
Hóhér HTTYD I agree with the thing about sexual dimorphism that you said, but technically night furies and light furies both belong to the "fury specie" since they are sub-species, think of it like Bengal and Siberian tigers, there are the same specie, which is obviously tigers, but are different subspecies.
Ok but there are way more night furies mentioned in the movies like the villain of the third one said he killed them all which implies there were more night furies since they are more known Also when the light fury was sneaking in new berk she didn’t shoot the plasma
I think toothless is a mutan light fury, because on your cover for this video, the night and light fury are side by side. You can see a lot of better differences that would make toothless seem more fierce.
Then that would make three albinos: The Light Fury, an adult, and a juvenile in the background of one of the trailers. Plus Light Furies have a different wing and fin shape, and Toothless has more/longer antennae than Light Furies :/
I Mean, No Offense, This Person is Trying to Hard. Its Like- You know how there is a *Fox,* and an *Artic Fox.* Is Called a different *Type.* So, IF UR GONNA MAKE THIS VIDEO, U SHOULD AT LEAST KNOW THERE IS JUST NOT ONE TYPE OF BIRD IN THE WORLD. NO, WHY WOULD THEY LOOK THE SAME?!
My theory is that lights fury’s evolved to live in tropical colorful coral like caves or sanctuary’s while night fury’s lived in dense woodland areas. This is because nightfurys skin helps blend in with the shadow while the white tone on the light fury helps it camouflage in the bright tropical caves.
You do realize hiccup is a scientist of sorts. Because Berk finds the Night Fury elusive, they would assume there is only one b/c they only see one outline.
If the Night fury was a subspecies of the light fury, why would Toothless need to channel lightning to cloak, the Light fury doesn't need lightning to cloak.
I think it would be freaking adorable if toothless and the light fury had a baby and it turned out to have a zebra stripe scale pattern. I hope they make that a thing. :)
Hmm
I dunno, those are just a few questions and thoughts floating around in my head :P
Maybe he did not even see he's parents?
It would've been interesting if in httyd 3 we got a flashback of baby Toothless and we got to see what his life was like, before he met Hiccup.
@@darkhorizonstudios3014 I agree would be fun
I know toothless's story guys he was with his brothers and sister and also there was his dad and mum who were alpha night furies and one day the red death came to attack them so toothless's mum told him and his brothers and sisters to leave they were flying away but there parents died and his brothers and sisters got caught by the fires of the red death toothless could barely survive but luckily only his tail got burned and he killed his own king which was the red death
@@Octupuses48493 That's bullshit
The Fury poulation loses their softer scales over time as to better endure the Skrill's assault on them, taking on a darker coloration to blend into the clouds and making their scales less reactive due to constant overstimulation by the lightning, these adaptations give rise to the far more successfull Night Fury.
whatsw the original fury breed called im reaserching for fury island my rp server
Is there a source for this or just headcanon?
heres a theory: nightfuries are more evolved subspeicies of lightfuries. just look at them. toothless looks more developed than the lightfury.
Ye he has little flaps and scales
That could be because they are older versions of lightfury so they develop more than mutate but its a pretty good reason
Mhm yeah that sounds good
That’s really not how evolution works, once a species splits, the other has to adapt to the new surroundings and the other can just simply continues it’s tactic since it doesn’t really have to.

U guys are geniuses
What About they blend in with the Moon? And snow? And even LIGHT from day? Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm 😲😲😲😲😲
SonicBoom 3475 a snowfury
SonicBoom 3475 The light fury blends in its inviroment by shooting plasma, then going right into it, and then “disappears”
Night furies can do that to but it requires much more energy as we see in the movie toothless uses lightning to "go invisible" and he almost goes unconscious
Plasma last I checked
@@VexSin. no
That's only because it's his first time doing it. You see the second time he isn't affected.
MY FURY THEORY:
the night fury was the original type but due to hunting they went underground loosing their pigment turning white the invisibility is a little harder to explain away but the underground world had bioluminescence to make it short they adapted their own form of it that requires a charge first hence the plasma blast they have to go thru
1:06 in the movie you see toothless can also cloak him self he just needs lighting
He could also create lighting
I think toothless can disappear for a moment because he kind evolved in 2nd movie when he rescued hiccup (you know the scene where toothless jump into the ice and then it exploded)

Age 2. Markings.
Also game isnt cannon.

I reckon he is part of a small subspecies or have a close shared ancestor
Theres three not two when storm fly and hiccup and Astrid where flying you could see another.

And grimmel has a killer dragon behind him, the *DeathGripper.* it likes to kill too as what i read?
Lunar Games in my opinion the deathgripper kills other dragons but not because he likes it
In the httyd world the environment is sane because there are not too much dragons, thanks to predators like changewing, scauldron, death song that reduce their number
Maybe the deathgripper does the same, but can kill every dragon
Grimmel used this ability to kill night furies, maybe training them to be cruel
Intresting!!! i do agree there.
Lunar Games. I Didn't think of that.. 👍

grimmel said that he hunted night furies.... so I think that it istn't a mutation.
Martin Mach we once thought what was one wrasse species was two because they looked super different
He hunted them, he didn't say that he killed them all. So there is the possibility that they are alive, just in captivity.
He could still be a mutation just that he probably hunted a lot of mutations
She’s just talking WHAT IF toothless was a mutant light fury geez
Well, maybe the Night Fury species is all mutations of the Light Furies. Maybe there was one or two mutated L.F.s, and then a new, much rarer subspecies was created. Because of the N.F.'s rarity, Grimmel was more encouraged to hunt them.

Same. I guess they just didn't want another Shrek incident.😄😄
Gosh the potential this franchise had.
It's sad & weird to me that Grimmel is like humanity, they hav lots of misconceptions around them & hav ppl talking crap befor ppl even know the full story. I read this whole thing on him befor the release of THW, &... If this is too long, you can visit either 'grimmelsgirl' on Tumblr or 'swangrizly' on instagram.
(Everything hereafter is not to say killing dragons is good, or that Grimmel's justified. Just voicing som fun facts).😊
His story was made, just not mentioned in the movies. It even went w/ the tradition of the other movies, the source of conflict being understandable. But I guess b'coz of what happened previously, Grimmel's purpose in the story wasn't to hav us feel bad for him. Maybe none of his story was relevant, aside from the fact that during his study he happened to never see dragons' good side.🥺
In short, I read that Grimmel wanted to eliminate the threat, b'coz every1 he knew, & wat they endured solidified his beliefs of dragons being dangerous. He even had friends revealing the might & wonder in ppl that he wanted to survive.😥 He loved the ppl around him enough he just hated the thing that appeared to hurt them. It seems a bit pitiful, but really, his past was the usual lose, fear, & destruction. It wasn't all ego, & he just happened to never find a reason to care about dragons. He went from potentially good to determined, & unapologetic. He cared about ppl a lot mor than I imagined, just also being mean.😊
The truth is, he was doing wrong things 4 understandable reasons. Same way previous sources of conflict did.🤔 G had reason & knew why he was a hunter, & didn't need justification b'coz his truth has evidence, it just isn't perfect. Ppl don't usually believe somthing strongly to be stubborn/ hears their polar opposite belief & role w/ it, so I don't see G as stupid, just misguided, similarly to Stoick.
(Not that G is Stoick😋, but to say it's not bad to hav a different *opinion* ).
Also, he didn't just go around walking on/betraying ppl. He had som honor, he just doesn't care if #1) they betray/disrespect him first, & #2) if they were a treat to him trying to help ppl.
Details on his story could've helped. I think it could've added to his purpose, his view, & the decision that both mankind & dragons are better not harming each other.😊
(Sorry this was long...)😊
I'm not saying Grimmel's right, but that he's not dumb.
No matter. A villains a villain, & despite him wanting to make "a better world" it was still "misguided passion". Still tragic, tho.

Disney bought Comcast/Dreamworks because those two companies went hand and hand. Dreamworks may have made the movie, BUT, it is owned by Disney. Nothing happens unless approved by "Company A"
Flight of Light me either
@Dank ememes she is just trynna nerd out lol
Toothless was able to cloak himself when we first saw him use his lightning ability
Toothless can do everything the light fury does but in a different way
what if toothless is a hybrid
EDIT: Louell Dacanay then he’ll have physical and health problems blah blah blah. its kinda strange sine the past 8 years, toothless was classified as a pure bred night fury. But ever since the light fury was introduced to the franchise, People were thinking if toothless was a hybrid, or maybe one of his parents was a light fury, etc. I don't think dean deblois has ever heard of the light fury in the last 2 movies.
John Nguyen its a family friendly franchise for everyone toothless may be a hybrid but might not but just as a note there's not much health problems
@@johnnguyen4572 Not necessarily. Some hybrids are successful, like Coyote Wolves or Grizzly and Polar bear hybrids.
However these are reptile so I am not sure.
The fourth movie of how to train your dragons with new dragons
I wish. They had enough lore and potential to do it. Speaking of...
(Everything hereafter is not to say killing dragons is good, or that Grimmel's justified. Just voicing som fun facts).😊
Toothless can go “ invisible “ but he has to use a lot of lighting energy
Toothless and the Light Fury are super cute together. Hidden World is my fav movie.
Light fury is confirmed to be a different subspecies by the director
It is not true as it WAS confirmed the light fury IS subspecies I still Believe your theory that other nightfuries exist
Tommy The omega nerd They were killed by the hunter villain in the third movie
Alexandra EXAMINE THE THING IN QUESTION BEFORE TRYING TO CRITICISE IT also never judge a video by its name is basically the number one phrase at suiting RUclips

That’s interesting
What if the night furies spread out when Grimmel started attacking. He only attacked in a certain area where there was a large amount. He kept searching but found nothing. That’s when some evolved into light furies.
Jkooktray M evolution isn't that quick it takes thousands of years to evolve
Interesting theory, would explain the scarcity of Night Furies since they’re now spread over a larger area. Perhaps the Fury hunting began long before Grimmel, so the dragons dispersed and fled to other areas. And it would mean that there are multiple species of Furies that have evolved to survive wherever they may be. Maybe Light Furies are a kind that naturally live in snowy areas or a ‘tropical’ place where they can afford to have flashy appearances.
And you make a great point on if night ferry’s or still around
When I first saw the cloaking ability in the trailer my immediate thought was “What if it started off with only Light Furies that had no camouflage and some evolved into Night Furies and others evolved the ability we see in said trailer
HOW could toothless be a light fury
Michael Robinson how could a Albino be black
_HOW about you watch the video completely_
Michael Robinson It may be possible that he is actually a Light Fury but due to natural selection, he was born with dark scales OR he was born with Melanism
I don't know for sure but that's my theory XD
@@LawlChosenOne light fury isn't even albino
did you not watch?
so i heard the "light fury flying through own plasma = invisibility" thing, my theory on it is that since plasma is purple it's really really hot right? almost how blue stars are extremely hot, (just a theory) so if that happens, when a light fury flies through it's own plasma it could heat up the scales to the point where it causes a reflection for a specific amount of time, while with a night fury it doesn't work as well because of the adaptation to night, and not really needing to cloak itself while a light fury would have to as it is as white as snow and would be spotted almost anywhere, other than the sky in clouds and such.
What If Light Fury Is A Mutation Of NightFury?
But this wouldn't make sense as in the end you see 3 lightfuys toothlesses girlfriend and the other 1 with a baby so if 1 is a mutation at all it would be toothless but I dont think either of them are a mutation sorry if this sounded rude but that was what I though thx
Giulf3der ! That would make sense.
@@rusty1659 FINALLY! Someone else who's replying to others about this fact!! THANK YOU!
i do believe that it could be the other way around just night furies are more dangerous perhaps (since berk's people were so afraid of them in the first movie)
There 2 different dragons its like a tiger and lion
Fun fact: in the third movie, the hidden world scene you can see a light fury and her baby. This could mean they toothless is a more evolved version of the light fury.
I think the new villan was able to hunt all the night furys because they used to be less elusive, may they even had one big colony.
so just like whispering death and screaming death except we found that that grimmel killed them all..... good theory though
Oh my Thor, what if a nightfury is only born every 100 years, like the screaming death!?

Yup, you can see how pretty a voice is
1:26 Did you read that the lightfury had scales that blended in with the environment?
@@swiftlightening75 Yes. I agree with that.
Light Furies can cloak themselves, not teleport. And Light Furies could blend in with more snowy areas so I dunno
Cant teleport
Given that the official fandom for How to Train Your Dragon stuff mentions that Light Furies are more aggressive, this makes sense.
The one saying in the vid:*saying smart stuff
Me:I can not take so much
so 20 years ago toothless is 1 year old
Fswapgamer -_- since that was toothless’s age he was just days or months old instead
John Nguyen toothless is at the same age as hiccup
Night Furies are among the most intelligent dragons out there, also one of the fastest. We know there used to be more out there because there were legends and myths about them.
I think the only reason we see more light furies is because they were able to hide more easier than night furies. For all we know these dragons could live hundreds of years.

Really great video
Your content is great
Supporting your work keep making this stuff
Honestly you are right about Grimmo not being able to know because then he would at least find the hidden world.
What if light and night furry just show extreme sexual dimorphism? Like how male and female birds are often different colors and shapes.
I never thought of it that way good thinking
Sweet Theory
They could be sexually dimorphic similar to Monster Hunter's Rathian and Rathalos, which are similar to Toothless and The Light Fury (Technically the same creature yet different colors due to their gender)
There's three Light Furies in the movie, THE Light Fury, another adult, and a juvenile. You can see the adult and juvie in the background roaring with Toothless in one of the trailers. So no, Light Furies are not all female
The light fury is so pretty and toothless is so cool!!
Marquetes 25 that is exactly what i was thinking
An albino would have red eyes.
They could of known about it from the dragon eye...
Found my new favourite channel
Because you do lots of different things
If their original species are a night fury toothless is black so he probably is in the original family of night furies the main branch of the family. So since they already confirmed that the white fury is a sub species of the night furies so then it is unlikely in my opinion that he has adapted.
So you mean that balck was first fucking racist
@@palmtv3538 agreed
Mange this may be true
Those that mean the baby will be a grey furry
Foxy_clash king noooooooooooooo sillyyyyyyyyyyyyyy
Foxy_clash king no there’s a video out the baby has all black but it’s stomach is white it is my last recent like if your able to see it 😊 (it’s a spoiler tho for the ending )

No some parts are gonna be black and aders gonna be white
My theory is toothless actually came form the hidden world but was separated from his family and he grew up in the human world. Maybe he could do the teleport thing because he has not learned it yet. It is like pokemon the more and more experience the pokemon gets from battle or something the more moves that pokemon learn. So maybe the light fury was more experience than toothless and he has still more time to learn the teleportation move. Or maybe toothless is a hybrid from a night terror and a skrill even though that is highly unlikely that is all I can think of
This is a huge theory and is very interesting
When are you doing the movie review I saw fallen kingdom last night at midnight.
I Liek Dinosaurs And Trains, was it good???
I got to see JWFK a day early In other words yesterday. 7:00-9:00 and it was almost full so I was in the front. It. Was. Awsome.
Elena Crowe it had its ups and downs but it was good 8/10
Great! Thanks for telling me! I had high hopes (does that mean jitters?) on this movie because people were hating on the trailer of it!! But I'm glad the movie was good :)
Elena Crowe oh btw there's a scene that made me cry a little so be prepared.
The people that maid the moovie said she is a sub spishes she is!!!!!!!!!!!!
I think the light fury is just an albino night fury, the mutation theory doesn't really work for me but it really is interesting
4 corners of the earth......”I have a new theory,” YOUR A FLAT EARTHER!!!!!
loll
What if the night fury is the male fury and the light fury is the female fury and together they make up the fury species?
hey what would a hybrid of indominus rex and indo raptor look like what abilities would the hybrid babys have and how intelligent would they be
I found this interesting and I like the gifs and photos you used
nice video really liked your theories
My theory is that Tootless is a hybrid between the Light Fury and Skrill.
Tyler Shewchuk wrong
Tyler Shewchuk i thought the same thing although i was a little bit earlier but hey you may never know we might be right including others who thought the same thing
That eould make seance as to how Toothless did what he did at the end of the trailer
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Dragon Lady but at the same time we must not forget the skrill and the light fury are both subspecies meaning i don't think those to dragons can breed so i don't really think the night fury is a hybrid between those to dragons
Latoya Shepperd I get what you mean BUT theres a youtuber I follow cald hello future me and one of his videos are of how the night fury and skrill could be related.
Its really interesting🤗
Light fury is a sub species even the writter or scripter said it but nice theory
I think that the villain in the 3rd movie was just bluffing bc I would really want to see more Night Furies or Light Furies and I think that there will be more in the hidden world but who knows. There could be more to httyd 3 than we think.
There are more light furies no more night furies
This is just my opinion but you can have your own too
Kinda loving the idea of the light fury being an arctic variation, what would that mean for the nightlights? Wanna hear more of your theories
My theory:the light furies are actually snow furies that migrated south and some evolved some didn’t and the ones who didn’t died off, I can explain why the snow fury may be a good theory:
1.Light furies are white and can easily blend in with snow
2.Light furies have shiny/snow looking scales which makes this make more sense
3.the light fury could be evolved like the night fury but evolved a cloak instead
And that’s just my theory
What if toothless was once wite but because he maybe shot too much fireball things and float trough them
MeGaChIkEn it would wash off underwater
Saiyan Ualwaysknew Good point! Didn't even think about that.
How was the light fury made
the gaming dragon science
One word, evolution
it was made from an egg
Sex
ola kede who’s the parents of the egg?
Both of them are normal speices. Grimmel said he hunted down every NF exept Toothless. So there's more NF, and they are not mutated.
For those weak-brained ppls who think that the Lightfury is the female wersion of the Nightfuryes I explain, why they are wrong. If grimmel said there was more nightfury that means there are females too. Also, same with Lightfuryes.
I'm done with this channel. The creator is just throwings random things to us. It's so simple that the Nightfuryes are normal speices.
Hóhér HTTYD your right
Julian Valencia thank you. Finally somebody!
Emily Johnson i know. But the director said there are more lightfuryes. Boys and girls.
Ok but there are way more night furies mentioned in the movies like the villain of the third one said he killed them all which implies there were more night furies since they are more known
Also when the light fury was sneaking in new berk she didn’t shoot the plasma
I think toothless is a mutan light fury, because on your cover for this video, the night and light fury are side by side. You can see a lot of better differences that would make toothless seem more fierce.
Maybe the light fury is an albino
Maryam Aqil
Well then her eyes would be red
It has been confirmed that she isn't an albino.
Then that would make three albinos: The Light Fury, an adult, and a juvenile in the background of one of the trailers. Plus Light Furies have a different wing and fin shape, and Toothless has more/longer antennae than Light Furies :/
I hate using logic on this movie. IT WAS FROM A DIFFERENT TIME!!! LEAVE THEM ALONE AND STOP RUINING IT FOR MEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!

The night and light furies created the dawn of a new species of dragon night lights
The problem with the Night Fury being the subspecies is that the new villain says "I have hunted down every *Night Fury* except yours. Hand him over."
Toothless can cloak himself too, he just never knew he could
I think it would be freaking adorable if toothless and the light fury had a baby and it turned out to have a zebra stripe scale pattern. I hope they make that a thing. :)
