I love how every video gets a thumbs down in the first 5 mins of being released. LOL.....I don't know why you come here if you hate everything I put out. Are you that unhappy in life?
Its a great video, theres always someone who thinks thumbs down means good haha. Question comes to mind would you do separate stems for snare and kick stem separately for more control later on?
I'm using a hybrid setup with tape, outboard effects and tube & solid-state preamps. This all goes to my DAW with Apollo and two satellite PC's and a control surface. Your channel has helped tremendously with my setup - keep it up man!!
Very well done and the song sounds amazing! Great song and great mix ! Ignore the haters. I once had a guy who booed every song our band played so I pulled him aside and said " hey buddy. There are 2 kinds of people in the world and you're not one of them. " He walked away with a bewildered look and never came back. Thanks again for all you do!
My apologies… Great Channel by the way……. So say i mixed a song on the SSL but i want to print the individual tracks to protools because i dnt want to recall…. If i go out the individual outs i would be by passing the buss compressor if i had it on right so i would be losing the buss compressor sound vs printing the stems thru the bussess that would be hitting the buss compressor etc Drm Buss Voc Buss Music Buss
I have a Soundcraft k2 in a hybrid set up and was thinking of getting a SSL 2 or 2+ interface for printing mixes back into my DAW. Anyone tried this and noticed a good difference trying this interface with their analog desk? Will also use the SSL for recording vocals and guitar.
Hey, I have a question about levels when printing on the SSL. I'm using an SSL duality and the Stereo print seems to be way lower in level that the actual mix. Something I might be missing?
@@MixingMusicAnalogWhen i print a mix from my console,i am listening to my 2 track return,so basically you are listening what is being recorded to tape or your daw.
How do you route the main DAW outs? Do they run back to the console through separate stereo returns? If so, would it not then run back through the main bus processing on the console? Very much enjoying this channel!

Green eyed monster perhaps?

Bro, i wish we wold get this type of knowledge in Sound Engineering school. Mixing is cool, but mixing in a Console is the ultimate mix!
Well done!
You don't need a sound engineering school! You have me! :). Thanks for your support!

Sounds like you have a nice rig! Thanks for watching!
Thanks for sharing this!
My pleasure!
Loving the channel and the content. Down to earth no nonsense tips and tricks.
I'm tryin'....LOL. Thank you!
@@MixingMusicAnalog I especially like your channel because I am also on Studio One Pro DAW. :)
Thanks for sharing these nice videos with your Ssl console and outboard gear ! I love it
Thank you for your support!
Nice! This video is pure gold. Thank you!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Great video… have you considered getting a dedicated AD converter to print to your DAW instead of using channels 3-4 from the Apollo?
No i have not. not sure why I would want to do that unless I wanted something like the Burl which has a lot of "color"

How did you check the master fader on the duality? Where is that set at? My print track is the exact same volume as the mix itself.
@@MixingMusicAnalog Thanks for your reply! I have it at 0. Not sure why that happens.
How are monitoring the recorded tracks?
I dont understand the question, sorry

If I understand the question correctly, the daw OUTS are running back into the console on an EXT input so it does not go through the bus compressor.
mix sounds good. just a little too dry for my taste. Maybe adding some reverb to to the vocals especially would help to fatten the sound.
ok, thanks
