It is a beautiful pistol. I have the Miami made version. It is #1 off the line. My father was working for the company that made it. Love the gun. It's perfect for CCP.
I have one from Michigan in the box with 6 rounds through it. My dad owned it and now it is sitting in a safe with all the other toys! LOCK EM UP PEOPLE!!!
I just picked up one just like yours yesterday that I had on layaway. Its made in Michigan. Its a .25 and it also had the box and the manual with it. Got it for $450 at a gun shop I usually go to. Im surprised they had one. Ive never seen one of these in person even when going to gun shows around here. Bought mine to collect not going to run any rounds in it, never letting this one go! Maybe I can find a 22lr version someday.
Bought a Michigan made on yesterday. In original box.Should be here by the weekend. Too many people pass on these guns because of the small caliber. The quality on these guns is really nice.I saw one at a gunshow, went back to the table an hr later and it was gone. Now I finally have one.
I have extensive experience with these, they are labeled as both Budischowsky and as Norton, the Former is more desirable from a collectors point of view. I have a matching set 22lr and 25, both with the same serial number! caliber marking is only difference. As for shooting, be careful, use standard ammo not high velocity. Lube the snot out of them to prevent galling and beware, the steel on the small parts is soft. Repeated firings will cause deformation. It is a reliable and well designed pistol, but if your looking for a Mouse gun you can shoot a lot of with high quality, the Walther TPH is a better choice. These are more for the collector.
@@foothillsfirearms8636 Lol, I just got one of these little pistols as parts in a plastic bag. The previous owner said here you go, you like puzzles, so see if you can figure out how this thing works. Well, best I can tell is that it's missing a trigger bar spring of some sort. I can turn it upside down and get the trigger to work. The grips were loose in the bag, so I laughed when I read this. I was looking for a schematic, and I found one, but it's not very useful. It lists #26, Trigger bar spring, but it shows nothing except a line... Would be cool to make this thing work someday.
I have a Mt. Clemens, Michigan made unit too. It was my dads and It has a box with it. When I was in high school and it did OK. It was brand new we then took it to a gun store afterwards and the guy told us that if we had not shot it the pistol was unused. He said it drastically decrease the value after a few shots. However the pistol did have some failure issues that I guess were notorious for this pistol.
I was taking out the magazine of my Miami made .22 and PAWAAAANG! The mag catch and main spring took off in a gravel creek bed, never to be seen again. Looking for parts if you come across any.
I have have had luck with Ebay for parts. It could take a long while before what you need shows up, but parts needed have always shown up for me there.
It is a very beautiful and cool pistol. And a good video that is conveyed this pistol's good points. It's a shame that it won't get much observation despite TP70 is high performance. I'm glad, that you ware picked up this gun and uploaded this video. Could you upload the new video measuring this pistol's dimensions? Because, I want to scrachbild of this pistol, I'm seeking thickness (width) dimensions. For Exsample, slide / slide of muzzle under / frame / Trigger / hammer / Flat width of slide top/ barrel diameter / Recoil spring guide diameter ...etc etc, it's no boundless... Measuring tools is just you having now, and It's as good as possible ,,, so please upload video if you feel like it. :)
Anyone know where I can find a photo of the right side with the grip panel off? Mine is missing some parts but I can't figure out exactly what from the online parts schematics.
The right side has the trigger bar, trigger bar spring, and magazine safety. All three are listed by a seller on Ebay. I can send you a photo by email.
@@manifestopian I found the parts and ordered them, thanks again. My confusion stemmed from the trigger bar spring, mine's broken and it had been re-installed in a way that made it look like that's how it's supposed to be except that it wouldn't push up the trigger bar, and the mag safety and screw are missing. I still have doubts about the gun's quality, mostly the metals being too soft, but I'll probably put a few rounds through it since I have a weird love for .25. I'm one of those few nut jobs that reloads .25 even tho it's a pain.
Haven't you shoot it yet? How about filming a day on the range? The last time I saw one of this was in a review in the Guns and Ammo magazine in early 70's!
The barrel on mine has the serial # in light uneven stamping. It doesn't appear to be home stamped, and I can't imagine anyone caring to do it. As far as it being "a beautiful well made gun", sorta, but no. It is beautiful and has the appearance of being a well made gun unlike most pocket pistols, and it has 'big gun' features not normally found on pocket guns, but I have serious doubts about its actual quality. Mine appears to have had very little use, it's super clean, and was in the bag in the box when I got it. There's a ton of slop between the barrel and slide, not worn, but manufactured that way. There are several parts that already have obvious signs of wear/peening. The double action doesn't work. The slide hold-open doesn't work. The takedown pin to lever hole is super sloppy. The slide is a bit rough to cycle. I might shoot it just because I love .25s, but might just leave this one in the box.

@@manifestopian PS, be very careful if you remove the grips....lots of small parts under there are contained by the grip.
