      @@samiamohamoud7572 Hey Samia, when they cut me open for the surgery they found i have a 10cm cyst + Stage 4 endometriosis that has spread everywhere😔 So they only removed the cyst in the surgery and said i need to get another big surgery to remove the Endometriosis. I got the cyst removed exactly 6 weeks ago but i am still bleeding heavy every single day non stop. I have never had a period for 6 weeks+ still continuing. Honestly this surgery made me feel worse as my bleeding/pain/back pain is more stronger now. I am just waiting for the second surgery now so hopefully that will solve the problem.

      @@jz4957 Hey :) i read all your reply about your current experience i can understand how dreadful endometriosis is to a beautiful young woman like you ... did the doctors explore why did you developed endometriosis ?! unprotected sex?or genetic or idiopathic(meaning unknown) ? probably your case is the endometriosis not only casing endometrial (ovarian cyst) but as endometriosis means the occurace of endometrium in areas of female repro tract other than her deeper uterus layer(which normally made of endometrium) i mean by this the endometrium tissue is present in other areas like your ovary(most common) =where it should not be... meanwhile i would appreciate you sharing your experience with it like what is your age ? you said your tummy was bloated for how long have this been(before you go to the gynecologist? meaning how long were you noticing changes and unaware :( sorry for long message but am a med student; i care ..

    Just had a 15cm cyst removed today through keyhole surgery. Unfortunately my right ovary and tube didn’t make it as the cyst was wrapped around it cutting off circulation. I had the cyst and dead ovary removed. I experienced an agonising pain hours before being rushed to hospital for surgery. I was screaming, no position eased the pain. When I arrived at hospital I was given morphine 3 times through my veins which helped temporarily with the pain. At CT scan later showed I had a huge cyst, and the gynaecologist told me surgery was needed urgently. I was scared beyond words, but it had to be done. I had never had surgery before this. Being put to sleep worried me but I don’t even remember any of the moments leading up to it. The surgeon made an incision in my belly button, my right and left side of lower abdomen. I was told the cyst was also dead and contained hair inside. The doctor said some cysts even contained fully formed teeth. That freaked me out! Recovery can take up to 3 weeks. Post surgery and I’m in pain, swollen abdomen and weak, but it’s so much better than what it was when I had the cyst

      Add me to the club.. i just had mine removed 2 days ago. 1 e.r. visit that did nothing for me and 2 weeks later i went to the county hospital. I was admitted, lots of morphine, ct scans and ultrasound and xrays lots of labs and i was in surgery before in knew it. 18cm cyst. Left ovary no live tissue (gone) and fallopian tube strech out like a rubber band (also gone) the cyst exploded during removal they rinsed out my inside and sucked it all out. And they found another cyst on the right side golfball size that didnt even show up in the scans.. keeping an eye on that guy. Home now, the chest pain from gas is the worst. Cant wait for all the swelling to go down i am already down 10lbs lol.
      Self awareness ladies take care of you.
      And yes i was super scared i had never had surgery before. I had never been away from my daughter that long. It was nerve wrecking.. and still waiting on pathology.

      I'm getting mine (20cm) out in a week, and I'm terrified. I'm 23, and I don't know if I'll lose one or both ovaries or not or if it could be cancerous. Why are we not taught about this stuff!? Why did it take me getting so bloated and in pain that I couldn't even sit up to actually find out about it!?
      I'm really scared. Any advice or positive stories?

    • @amacks3779
      @amacks3779 2 месяца назад +1

      @@sarahtonin. I'll share my update 4 months post op. They took my right ovary and fallopian tube out as the cyst killed it, but to be honest it doesn't even feel like a part of me is missing. My hormones haven't changed and my periods are still regular. Your first period after surgery will take a while and may be heavy but after that you'll be okay. The stitches naturally disappeared after 6ish weeks and the pain from surgery subsided after 3 weeks. Apparently this is a common type of surgery, and since it's being done as keyhole (I'm assuming) there isn't any major risk. If you're not squeamish I advise watching some videos of the surgery being performed to ease your worries. My surgery took 3 hours, and if I remember it was due to the size. Usually they're completed within an hour or two. I was worried about anesthetics, but don't worry, you won't wake up or remember any of the moments leading up to it. They'll give you some gas to ease your anxiety and just generally relax you. It was from there that I knocked out. You will be okay. Unfortunately it's not an optional surgery. Hopefully you'll still have both your ovaries. Best of luck

    I have had ovarian chocolate cyst 15 years and spent $20k tried and researched almost everything... I still didn't go do surgery because several of my doctor friends told me that after surgery it's quite easy to grow back if not cure the root problem of the body, which is hormone imbalance and stomach spleen function not strong... besides the surgery would accelerate ovarian aging when we get old as it took away partial ovarian tissues, but if it's big size, then maybe surgery is a good way, mine was 6cm left and 3cm right, now finally shrinked half and doctor said right side 1.4cm one probably would disapear in couple months... I am waiting to see the result.
