He is such a modest, nice and funny guy with a sparkling personality. It's impossible not to love him. He's just perfect. Wonderful interview! Thanks!!
his love of skating is so infectious!
My sister was right, Stéphane is such a sweetheart and an amazing figure skater. I wish I would have watched him in action in the early 00s when she told me to do so. It's wonderful to watch him being interviewed, his capacity to speak so many languages and not to change his voice at all is just amazing :)
Such a humble guy, watched his program this summer, totally on a different level, pure art.
Stephane is such an incredible PERSON, not just an Olympian skater and coach. He inspires me and I don’t even skate!
I miss you so much Stephane. I miss those days when I had someone to root so hard for, and that time when I screamed from the top of my lungs as I watched you win Worlds in 2006. I've loved your skating since 2003 and I forever will.
His English is so great! I love Stephane
I didn't know that someone can be SO perfect. Thanks Stephane for breaking the stereotypes. I was amazed by him talking about Carolina and other skaters...He definitely loves figure skating from all his heart, he's a true artist, a true figure skater with amazing personality. Thank you for just being YOU! Hope you'll be skating as long as possible.
I agree with you. For me he will always be the best skater ever. So talented, humble and handsome♥️
IMIZASEB LPJ for me too! He’s a legend 😉
Best 'interview' I've heard with/by Stephane: so articulate, thoughtful, passionate about what he does; clarity of the realities of the sport; love what he says about continuing to learn, teaching, doing choreography, expressing feelings through "free" artistry but absolutely learning the basics first. No wonder he has continued to grow as an artist. Plus, not all athletes speak well/clearly/can articulate their thoughts and feelings, but Stephane is one of the rare exceptions (and in multiple languages). I can understand why he would be such a great teacher/mentor. I wish he would come to the U.S. to perform, but in the meantime I'm thankful that his fans continue to video his programs in Europe so that I can watch him. I always thought the music just flowed through his entire body; and I always thought he is, at 30, an even better (more mature, sophisticated, elegant, interesting) skater than when he was younger (and, as he says, "wilder"), although some of his 3005 & 2006 WC performances were electrically exciting. But the fact that he now has superb control over his artistry reinforces what I always thought: that after he retired, he became an even better and more inventive, interesting skater, and one who continues to grow in his artistry.
+lauramartha3 I absolutely agree with you. He is a combination of sincere openness and tactful atitude to the personal life of his and other people he had worked with. He is so rich: elegant, intelligent, thankful, tender...and wild, musical and technical, amiable and guarded. And charged with the beauty of the Swiss Alps.
alex bye I agree. Well summed up, alex bye.
definitely a lot of Swiss Alps in Stephane - the wild part - such a spirit!

I absolutely loved this interview. He's such a delight.
If you can believe this....I just discovered Stephane Lambiel with, "Don't Stop the Music," 2011 version. It is still one of my favorites because it introduced me his genius as an artist. His ability to interpret music and skate as though he and the music are one is mesmerizing. And then of course, he is so generous with his emotions. He is not afraid to display everything he is feeling. To experience this beauty of expression coming from a man is beyond words. There are so many reasons to adore Stephane Lambiel. He is the whole package. He is a gift to the ice skating world. He has been elevated by the ice skating establishment because of this. His success will only continue to increase to greater heights now that he is coaching. Already I am seeing beautiful skating in his students and he's only into his sixth year. Bravo Stephane. I wish you continued success. You have worked so very hard and you deserve it. No Olympic gold medal could ever compare to all you have achieved since your retirement from competition.
He is the heart of this sport ♥️ I admire him so much since God knows when. So talented, humble and handsome guy. He will always be the best. I've always think about him as a gift from God. It's such a pleasure to watch his performances, specially Don't stop the music and You're beautiful... my favorites
It's always a pleasure to watch Stephane's inerviews. I admire him as a figure skater and as a person.

Awww 😍I just discovered this interview and i think it’s the best interview/video I’ve ever seen on youtube.
Honestly Stéphane was my first ever real crush as a teenage girl, this brings back sooo many memories... Now I’m gonna go through all the programs he talked about and rewatch them...

This interview is a delight thank you guys, I just discovered a few months a go, and for me as a fan of Steph Is a real treat ❤️
My eternal and endless admiration has been flung to Stephane. No doubt a blessed artist on ice, but also a shining and sharing person...he is such an inspiration, such a positive and open young man which is most valuable.

Stéphane is a great interview! Such a talented skater!
OMG, I looooove Stéphane! He's my all time favorite skater! So happy with this interview!
A special talent and such a soft spoken, gentle type of soul. He has aged quite well and that accent... well, Parabens... just... Parabens! (swoon)
What a charming guy. A real Swiss diplomat. I was intersted to her him say near the end that in the current system that the jumps are what bring the score.
He is such a sweetheart.
Jen & Dave, glad you haven't interviewed Jill and Bob the last month or so!!!! We needed something else than them!!!!!
Well said. It's that very vocabulary (or lack of) that distinguishes good skaters and the great.
What a great interview to listen to . Long interview but it went by really fast. Well done!
His flamenco program is one of my favorites.
A masterpiece
Finally opened my Christmas present from 2015 - I LOVE IT - THANK YOU!!!!

Great interview. I love, love, *love* Stéphane. Stayed up way too late to listen to this and will probably listen again in a few days.
Thank you for making and posting this interview!
Cried remembering those old days
I miss you Stephane you were my favorite skater
Awesome interview ... At 53:40 -- Absolutely loved how he said, "I don't know. I prefer to be a world champion than a European champion." :D
Thank you
Muito humilde, isto talvez seja a razào de tanta competência e sucesso. Adoro Stéphane Lambiel!
Definitivamente tienes la razón. No se puede no amar a este hombre tan dulce, guapo y talentoso
Лучший! Прекраснейший Стефан
Stéphane , I love you!~
1:03:50 ♥️🇨🇭🇮🇹
This is a wonderful interview
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
He is so handsome
And talented... and sweet ♥️
algún día aprenderé ingles y entenderé lo que dicen ;-;
So articulate, intelligent and charming; all the opposite to Dave.
Stéphane, I'd love to put a spin on your world and try a few new positions with you every day....
