A fascinating part of this story is how Brian Reed had no idea how this story would turn out when he started out investigating the allegations set out by JBM.
People will always be fascinated with people. Brian - thank you for not being afraid to follow your heart. Tyler - thank you for all the overlooked good you’ve done in your life. John B, you were a tortured brilliant soul. I pray you are Resting In Peace now.
IGamesBad Woodstock is my hometown and this is where they putting me in the ground I do find it funny to refer to it as S-Town but honestly dude Jon B. was just crazy he was very intelligent a genius but all that shit may have happened about the Burts there my bosses they seem to be good people but hell you never know but all this shit this podcast never should've existed this is the dirty south but I found the podcast to be over exaggerated
I HAVE A THOUGHT LEFT WING MEDIA IS NOW USING MIDDLE AMERICA TO SHOW DRUG USE, ALCOHOL ABUSE, CRIME-CORRUPT Authorities, just plain old trashy ( 4 babies 3 woman) uneducated people . MIDDLE AMERICA is who largely are TRUMP SUPPORTERS...............I THINK THEY WANT MILLIONS of AMERICAN TO KNOW THESE PEOPLE can not be trusted to vote in our politicians. YOU ASKED PROPAGANDA about what???
I hate that Tyler feels this way because this was the best story I have ever heard I have shared it with everyone and listen to it several times I am in love with this whole story
I found it to be a huge anti-climax. It sucked me in at the start with the promise of conspiracies, murder and corruption, but ended up a mundane story about some random self indulgent man.
The Fearmoths I live in Woodstock have all my life didn't really know Jon B. but pretty much everyone I know knows him the podcast was a bunch of bullshit I mean this is the dirty south and a lot of bad shit does happen here but the podcast is nothing more than a delusions of a crazy old man
Maybe you should consider the fact that life isn’t a fairy tale where everything you expect happens. There is so much more to take away from This podcast than the surface you’ve scratched.
I somewhat agree. I thought the story of his suicide would turn into a murder from how Brian Reed was amping it up at the beginning. Don't get me wrong, I liked it for what it turned out to be, but he definitely made it seem way more than it was with the first few episodes.
It's much ado about nothing. A slickly edited commercial for THE HOMOSEXUAL agenda. Another broken Homosexual self loather who fell in love with a young boy he could not have. Yawnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn. Hey Mr. PBS editor....Just HOW OLD was that boy when old John B first saw him over in the Trailer Park? I mean the EDITING is just SOOOOO one sided.
Is there REALLY a point to my answering that question Jonathan? I wrote what I had to say the first time and I have NO DOUBT that you understand exactly what I was saying and how I feel. I am sure you don't feel that way. But then again people who have mental illness and abnormal psychology never really know it themselves, do they?

And it got him killed
@ashleywilliams8590 Eh, no it didn't...
Being more compassionate and understanding of others is exactly what I took away from S-Town!

I listened to the whole thing in one night... I loved it! So compelling.
Wow 7 hours str8?
Eisha Shakeel Yes, when my insomnia was so bad... it was a great listen! Oddly enough!!
John B, I hope you're still making clocks wherever you are.
John B didnt believe in an afterlife....
johncandy00 John B will clutch the gulag
@@johncandy00 John B believed in quantum physics, so technically, yes, he did believe in an afterlife
This is such a propaganda piece brought to you by the people that helped John on his journey to ending his life.
"Propaganda" for what?
No one wants their town to look bad much less called shit town. Its masturbatory.

What is Cheryl Dodson doing with John B's personal items? How did she get them?
Watch Don’t tell mom! It’s here on JBM and ST. Apparently these two were close
Love the podcast - thanks for this piece.
g1rl6oo LMAO you're in love with the delusions of crazed old man I am from S-Town btw
Love this podcast
If John could see how much this blew up. Also I don't remember Cheryl from the podcast at all
I wish the podcast dove into the corrupt police department... Just kind of forgot about all the sexual assaults and cover ups
Brittany Bevins is perfection
Plus 50 lbs
perfect for Sumo
I ❤ JBM
LOL at these people trying to do something with this story for ratings
Two guys holding hands in a boat? GAY

The Fearmoths I felt the same.
Well it was a real life story

What, exactly, is this "homosexual agenda" you speak of?

postcaptain57 no but actually - what is the "homosexual agenda"?
Elinesof He's just a homophobic bigot who is probably secretly gay himself 😂
