He is the guy that DO something than talk. Every Treasure map shows that he is so freaking kind, gentle and always do everything with a positive energy.
*Takata Mashiho* a Japanese trainee, trained for 5 years and you can see the fruit of those years. This guy sings, dance and rap, visual is just a bonus. An all around idol. Despite being a nobody when he went to Korea now has the one of the biggest fanbase both inside and outside KR. He earned it. A japanese trainee but got 1st in onsite and online voting for the final performance? Not to mentioned those less screentime he gets at ygtb (same with Yoonbin) imagine if he gets the screentime he deserved? He will be scary competitor to other trainee.

Very well said. I kinda notice that YG never really up to high tones because fans don't really care much about that and singers could totally work on that. He oversee that the quality of Mashiho's voice is more fitting to the group.
True. During the YGTB era, although I appreciated Mashi's skills, I was rooting more for Seunghun on this battle coz I was more Team A + jihoon. But listening to this again now, I could see why YG chose him instead of Seunghun. Mashi could make you feel the message of the song, he makes you relate to him more. Watching the video, you can see that Mashi enjoyed performing more, while Seunghun had this "i have to show what i got" vibes (understandable coz it's a competition and team A seemed to be feeling the bigger pressure that time).. Again, papa YG showed his eye for talent..

That's what makes it sound so soothing, not because his vocal are more pop like.
Mashiho is just a trainee here but the way he perform looks like an artist who's already in KPOP industry for how many years. He's born to perform on stage, he's born to be the ACE and great artist.

I love how Mashiho sings really natural, enjoying the music and giving audiences the emotions of the song. No need for fancy techniques, just the natural flow which gives a beautiful color to the song. He does not sing with high notes but his style is very charismatic and easy to the ears.

This is my favourite performance of Mashiho and that says something especially that highnote at 2:04 is heavenly. YG you better use our ace talent in much better way. And that goes for every member of treasure honestly. Yes they're phenomenal as a group but they had more individuality in ygtb and I am just waiting for YG to use their potential in much better way. And also Seunghun is an amazing vocalist and i hope CIX gets the recognition they deserve.
Mashiho picked the right song for his voice. Tbh both did well, but Mashiho's voice fits very well with the song.

The reason that mashiho won was because he’s so relaxed on stage and has so much charisma. If you see Seunghun next to him, YG is definitely right about that he tries too hard. Because he tries so hard his parts feel a bit off, even though vocally he is better than Mashiho. I do feel bad for him because of the way YG is bringing this to him, instead of helping him YG is only bringing him down.
If they both end up being in the debut line up, which I think they will, I think Seunghun would be the high noter of the group and Mashiho the center that does the catchy parts of songs like he did in going crazy, because he has an amazing stage presence.
Maybe Seunghun felt like he needed to "shine more" because it was a battle so he did a little too much. I guess he got a little too excited (or nervous idk). Both sounded good in my opinion.
findmeatsea he didn’t want to shine more, he did what yg ordered him to do: show more emotion while singing. But this time he did it too much so it started to feel out of place or something I don’t know how to say it. He should’ve just picked beautiful because he would’ve slayed that.

hello kitty 252 center does not have to be the most talented one. For example, in twice sana is the center (nayeon is face of the group) even though she is just a vocal, but she has a cute voice that suits twice’s concepts.
Seunghun is absolutely not the main dancer hyunsuk and doyoung are obviously better, although I’m not completely sure whether Seunghun or Yedam is the better vocalist, but Yedams vocal color is so beautiful that I guess he’ll be main vocal.
