How are difficult approaches going for you? In Austria we have to get the old collector locomotives rolling within 5 seconds, otherwise the collector protection will respond and we will have to try again. How long can your old collector locomotives hold out?
Collector protection? We do real railroading over here. Feed her amps till it starts moving, taking slack out. This skill is in preventing a rollback, but putting power down early is a reasonable method
@@pootispiker2866 Well, you can't burden them indefinitely. You can see from the display where the amperes are shown that certain current strengths are only permitted for certain minutes. That's the case with us too. But interesting, your collectors are apparently larger than ours. But the systems also differ fundamentally.
I still wish they made sd45 seen the SD40 do the actual long runs like say Norfolk Southern was running from North Carolina to Pennsylvania I wish they still had them instead of them nasty looking eacc 60s eacc 40s and 70s I don't even like them engine the only engines that I like that look exactly like an eacc 60 is the Dash - 9

I loved the sound of three SD-40’s pulling up a grade in number 8 throttle. The sounds of the engines were like no other.
