I'm super resin creator and over do ever evrythig too lol I have over 100 molds and now with this video you have me ready to restock on everything I need to create FRESHIES!!! Thank you for the tip on only doing 5 of each!!! I have 45 glitters and 60 Mica powerers and 8 Chameleon Powders I and about to get more holographic and chameleon powders!!!! Everywhere has become storage for this or space to create that stuff and space to dry this stuff and space to put these together 😂😂😂 but I love it❤️❤️❤️❤️ hell I think it's what helped make the pandemic so ruff on me I was already a home body I even ended up making my dog into a dog influencer on Tictok so we were all getting paid in here lol

First time I was turned on to these freshies, very cool! Wanna share with you Temu, you can get molds for like 3.00! And a bunch of a bit of everything for cheap, as long as you read sizes you should be good. Highly recommend.

So awesome, i want to try these asap. I bought some fragrance oil and it smells bad. It's called birthday cake. I thought it would smell good but it's not good. I'll have to get a different scent.
Thx for posting this it was super helpful and great idea to re use the zip lock bags. I see a lot of people use jars for their colored beads but bags seem way easier and they take up less space.
You can store the beads in bags only if they are polypropylene… I used the ziplocks to color .. and you can get like 10 one ounce fragrances for $10 at Aztec that way you can test them 😁

If you have leftover scented beads, get some small mesh bags to put them in. Sell them as sock drawer freshener. We sell a lot of them.

Great tutorial
I find that using a roofing nail works best as the head of the nail is larger than regular nails and it lays flat and stands up on it's own. They usually come 1 1/4" or 1 1/2 " length.

Great tutorial..loved the turtle..it would be pretty with some glitter on top of the glue too! I have had issues with some of the micas sticking to the molds and unable to get it out even after washing them any tips? Maybe a qtip with alcohol. I have one tip for newbies..instead of the nail which can be bothersome and a pain,,use little eye hooks..I got a whole bag for under 5.00 on Amazon they screw right in to the freshies after baked n cooled with just your fingers no need for pliers even. No need for nails! So much easier especially when working with certain designs in metal cutters and multiple colors. Look forward to more of your videos.

You also need to let the beads air out to get rid of the vinegary smell before you use the beads. When they are no longer smelling like vinegar and no smell at all then you can use then. You left this step out . It should be the first thing you told them. Then showed how to make it. You use a roofing nail because it has a wider flat head. Works great

Instead of rolling & taking air out of your bag leave more air in & roll after seal to have more of a ball form your beads will color much easier and faster that way.

Hi, i love your tutorial ❤, I’m definitely going to try and do a freshie myself. Can. Ask can I use the regular silicone moulds, or do they need to be thick? I’ve ordered a few metal moulds to start with, but there isn’t a lot of choice we’re I am in the uk 🇬🇧 .
I have used thin molds and thick molds for freshies .. It’s all about the depth , and freshie mold have lighter etching then most molds

So do you need paint at all? I know you can use puff paint to out line. I was thinking you put paint on beads then the mica to deepen color

Hi, thank you for watching my video , essential oils are not the same as fragrance oils , you want to stick with fragrance oils, essential oils are more for soaps and stuff like that.

How do you decorate if using cookie cutters since you don't have the indention/pattern/design?

I’m trying my first freshies and have an important question. I brushed the Angel wings with pink in the heart and around the edges of the wings. I brushed a white shiny that glows in the dark in the wings. The scent I decided to use on beads turned the beads yellow. Can I add white mica to the beads and will it cover the yellow scented beads?
I meant the heart with the pink and the edges of wings in pink.
Are these the same molds you use for resin? Also is this the same powder colors you use for resin?

the pigment you put in the turtle is that powder or something different?
The one that I brushed? That’s a powder pigment chameleon chrome and then k believe I color the beads with a Mica , sawgrass or mangrove mama I believe, everything I use is in the description box below. Hope that helps. 😁
Wouldn't it be easier to add the mica powder to the jar?
not for me because i dont use all of the beads and i dont want the whole jar one color
With the channel mold how do you sell that freshes without getting into trouble with the channel copywrite?

I have been making freshies for 10 years and did not know about using micas. I am so over cookie cutters! I don’t see a link to your mica shop.

your beautiful creations! I ordered a bunch of silicone molds. I am so over cookie cutters and uneven pans. I probably make 150 or more a month and they sell pretty fast at our farmer’s markets. I am excited to try the mica. I mix fragrance and candle color 16 oz of beads at a time in dedicated bowls and transfer to mason jars when dry. I make about 15-20 different colors and scents. One color is one scent so we don’t get messed up but the shape can be anything.
