I love how he doesn't make a habit of just hating on fast food. He criticizes these places calmly and fair. He gets his opinion across in such a subtle way that how could anyone get mad at it. He's just being honest. Lot of people could take notes from this great guy.
True, I love in and out and I actually agreed with him on the burger. The last time I had in and out the Pattie’s were like paper thin even for a double. I felt like I was eating a vegan burger. I’m not judging in and out as a whole just for this specific moment because the last time I had in and out years prior to this I remember it being delicious so it was kind of disappointing for the first time having in and out again in years and it’s not like I’m never going back, I definitely will be back to in and out soon 😅
@@jasonchan4732definitely a location thing, I looked it up and they use ground chuck that they butcher at the closest facility, idk I wish the son would have highlighted the quality of ingredients because for the price it’s easily the best ingredient quality in all fast food

It is quite simply a great pleasure to watch him put all his skills and years of experience toward these whimsical, yet serious experiments. You guys never disappoint. Bravo, Chef Lee!
Sometimes I'm surprised he really does not like the food, but then I remember he's had real real food lol. And he's 100% right about the nutrtional value of the stuff and ingredients used. In the end..it might not be worth it lol. (I still crave the junk tho lol)
Gordon ramsay loves in n out. So this is more rare than you would think, but obviously some high end chefs are not wanting to bother with low tier foods. Same way caviar is out of my and probably your comfort zone.
He's from somewhere that places like In N Out don't exist so he's used to eating a different type of food. It's not necessarily because he's accustom to higher grade food, just not familiar with this kind of food. Iron Chef Michael Symon says one of his favorite spots in LA is Pinks for a chili dog. I bet his dad here would give Pinks a 3/10 and say it's far too salty and way too greasy lol. Some of the highest respect chefs in the world love certain fast food. Dunno if his dad would give above a 5/10 to any fast food, not American style any ways.

the best thing I get from watching these videos is a father and son bonding. You documented awesome memories that I wish I did with my dad before he passed away
It's good that your dad is getting recognized by younger people. I feel old for actually knowing him from Iron Chef. (not Canada) I clicked on this because it seemed really like a really interesting concept to see what someone like him thinks about and does to this kind of food. You guys should totally try to get Mark Dacascos for a video lol.

An iron chef recorded cooking at home with his son. The most honest and purest form of cooking. I’m taking mental notes.
