This is an Ifugao song which talks about a rich woman who is inlove with a poor man. The poor man thinks he is beyond compare as to the wealth and fortune of the woman. Thus, the man discussed with the woman that should she wanted to go with him, she needs to be extra patient as the road to the man's house is very far and needs treking.
Also, he talks about his family wherein they have nothing at all, like his father's g-string which he likened to a cloth used to clean the bus and her mother's native dress which she has even inherited from her grandmother.
As such, the man asked the woman if she would still like him the way he is and his family, and if not, it is just ok with him as he would not also like it.
The man was worried on them getting married since it would cause his parents more trouble and debt. Thus, in the end they shake their hands, from the left so they will separate on their own ways and from the right hand, for their pleasure as they go with their own lives.
