OMG! Man You are a life saver! I didn't know it was the WiFi antenna, I meddled with the GSM antennas at the below, but now WiFi capabilities are restored. All I had to do was to bend the pin on the motherboard upwards ever so slightly so it touched the WiFi antenna connector on the plastic frame again, and it's all perfect now! Thank you!
I had a similar issue with one of my note 2 boards, the wifi was really bad. Since i had this phone open already i took a shot and just bent out the connector pin on the board a small amount, and damn it worked like a charme, thank you alot for your explanation and props for your very nice english, greetings from germany :)
Great. It really worked. Thanks a lot . The phone technician told me that this is IC problem to which some how I was not convinced. Luckily I check on net I saw your video and it really worked and my issue of low wi fi strength worked. Only thing in my phone the antenna piece was there which I removed and cleaned the contacts points and it improved the wifi signal and no I am getting full signal. Thanks once again bro. More than money I can save lot of time after seeing your video. Great...
nice man . its works with me .... i was changed the plastic fram 2 months ago .. and my wirless sognal start being weak ... now i found the solution and replace this plastic part from the old frame thx man
lmao i love you for this. i had this fixed at a repair shop two years ago an now the problem is back. thanks so much for this. i stuff steel whool that i used to wash by dishes in the slot, covered it up and now its like brand new. signals strong :D thanks aagain

Genial amigo, pude solucionar este problema, en mi caso improvise; utilice papel de aluminio en ves de alambre de cobre y funciono al 100%. Te agradezco enormemente
jose erasmo muñoz intente de varias maneras te comento la que me funciono. Conseguí un filamento de cobre de unos 5 cm que lo podes obtener de cualquier cable, si te fijas en la base de la antena la que esta soldada a la placa tiene una pequeña curvatura o relieve; tenes que pasar el filamento por ahí, después tomas los extremos y los entrelazas para que hagan contacto con la antena que esta en la parte superior y finalmente volves a colocar la tapita para que haga presión, te debería mejorar la recepción y la estabilidad en la conexion wifi. Tene en cuenta que al ser muy pequeño el espacio tenes que ser preciso con el filamento, te va a llevar un poco de tiempo pero espero que lo podas solucionar
I tried another solution for my note 2 inspried by your video. My antenna cover was in its place, but the wifi signal was extremely weak even next to the modem. I take off the antenna cover and placed a thin layer of aluminum foil shaped like a hook. Hooked point attached to the place where you had placed the copper wire and attached the antenna cover back on the aluminum foil and done. It works great.

You're 100% on this. I have that part on mine with a very poor signal. I opened it up and bent the copper prongs outwards slightly. When I refitted it I had 100% signal strength. @ Michael Milner, that's why it works when you press on it. Use a flat blade to prize open the flap and slightly prize the prongs outward. I dropped my samsung a couple of times and I'd say that's what caused it.
My son just got a hand me down Note 2. I think weak WiFi was the reason the previous owner didn't want it. Anyway, this worked. His phone had the cover for the antenna, but when I took it off, nothing under it. I ended up folding a piece of tin foil into the metal piece and used the cover to hold it in place. 👍
Thanks for this. I have the same weak wifi signal problem my N7105. It has the missing piece tho which is basically an antenna extension piece built into the plastic. I'm going to check the contacts and adjust as suggested by halpo999. But thank you for letting us know the location of the antenna. Cheers and best.
+Buck Rogers With the contacts adjusted, I've got an additional 1.5 m reach, LOL. Maybe bcoz my model is LTE 4G, I find it is very susceptible to blockage and suffers from round corner droppage. My S4 even wifi behind closed doors 10 m away!
I tried it i put a tiny flat bit of copper touching the connection then put the cover back on now i have full signal around the house and even over the road. Thanks
The missing antenna is a plastic part, I don't know how plastic, an insulator, works in an electronic circuit but it does. When the plastic antenna is attached the signal strength goes up to normal. When you buy cheap replacements of the middle board on line , as I do, they come without the antenna. I still had the original middle board and I noticed the missing plastic part. When extracting the antenna from the original I may have bent it so that it doesn't quite fit snugly into the new board. This means I can't get the back to snap on as it should. Any suggestions?
I'm sorry Toni Habib I don't know :( I don't have an S4. What I'd do is slightly press the device around the sides and pay attention on the signal for changes.-
On the part missing it says "PA-TO#10-1" i have the same problem but i have that part and when i touch it i get better signal so i hope this helps you?
holy i love u i just checked where u touching there was a sticker when i take it off b4 taking off i got zero signal after i take sticker off i get full signal xD

I had an issue with my wifi and bluetooth not turning on. I removed this antenna, cleaned the connection and problem solved. Thanks!
