As an African my best teachers in school have always been African Americans, they always kept it super real with me about everything because they understood what I would face as a black person in America. African American culture has contributed much to society. As a fan of arts & poetry, I was very inspired by learning of the Harlem Renaissance in my African American literature class. In particular, the work of Langston Hughes.
Any African who doesn’t understand the historical contributions of African Americans to pan-Africanism as well as arts/society in general is very ignorant. It’s their loss. Black American culture definitely influenced a lot of American culture & enriches the global community. Some people unfortunately think African American culture is just the negative elements in hip-hop pushed by the media or gang culture.
That’s like saying all African culture is war lords & poverty. I really appreciate the thoughtful & honest content on this channel. Black women are the most educated group in America so that guy who told him that is ignorant.

And make sure to have integrity and remember that 'black' immigrants and nations supported 'black' America's struggles in many ways. The Caribbean has always looked beyond itself in this regard. Some 'black' Americans need a thorough re-education about the historical contributions of their own kind and the 'black' unity that once existed with 'black' America, the Caribbean and Africa. Ignorance and poor education are part of the reasons for division and harmful competition against each other.

When I came to the states I worked with africans and black americans and it was great sharing our life experiences. I do think there is a lack of respect between africans and black americans which can be fixed with some cultural exchange and more communication. I have experienced some rejection from black americans but not enough to make me see them/you in a negative light. Look at us as severely traumatized people that are tired of being disrespected and are just looking for a place to belong… a place to not be mistreated despite our good intentions to help all people. Be cautious, however, that the recent animosities aren't being purposely instigated to keep division active. The enemy loves and needs that division to facilitate their global agendas. I'll talk about Nigeria. Nigeria naturally has different tribes with tribal borders. These tribes are different in everyway. Different languages, religion, clothing, food, customs, physical features, music etc.. Before Nigeria was formed by the British, these tribes existed and prospered in their regions. They may all be black, but black and white is relatively a recent invention. People proudly associated themselves with their tribe (some even have tribal marks on their bodies for identification). Nigeria is NOT a natural or organic creation (i.e. the tribes did not organically come together to form Nigeria). Nigeria was formed by the British and those tribes were forced into one country. With their extreme differences and with one of the tribes always having power (i.e. the British backed the Hausa-Fulani to have power because their culture allows the poor people not to question their traditional leaders), there's bound to be chaos (which is part of the divide and conquer strategy). The Black Americans have more in common and are more united compared with the Nigerians. Coupled with their puppet leaders who do the bidding of the west, Nigeria is not really beneficial to its peoples for they're one of the poverty capital of the world.

Ask that brother from Nigeria how many inventions do they use in their country that have traveled over the Atlantic Ocean that was invented by our people from America.
How many inventions do we use over here that came from Black people in Nigeria?
It's jealosy and raw self hatred. They should know that God has put us on a unique platform for a specific Divine purpose. You and i need to keep that in mind when we see one another ( the descendants of slaves). We are the fulfillment of prophesy. The rest of the Black world is to receive favor on the strength of us in America holding the door open for them. We were given a special body of knowledge over here that they were not given. And a different ASSIGNMENT that they were not given. Doesnt make us better, it's a different function in bringing in the new world that religious language calls, "the Hereafter" or "heaven on earth".
That body of knowledge that was brought to us in the West is called "the knowledge of self and kind".
Just be patient sister. They will see.....ALL OF THEM.

Dear Brother, no one is "hating" as you call it.
This comment that I'm writing will probably get deleted like the previous one did.
What you're failing to see is an enemy at work. This "American survey" that you hold in high esteem is nothing more than a tool to keep us arguing over senseless points and preventing us from seeing a common ground to work together on.
Your colonial history as a Nigerian under the experience of British rule should have taught you about how that trick works. It is working today still; even though Nigeria is no longer under British colonialism, some of the language that surfaces from our family in Nigeria has the stench of the european. We suffer from the same stench as Blacks born in America.
      Let's stop it.
As I said before in the comment that got deleted, you as a Nigerian are likely to use items in your house that was invented by one of your Black Brothers born in America.
How many items do we use here in the west that was invented by a Brother from Nigeria? Very few.
Look up, BLACK PIONEERS OF SCIENCE AND INVENTION. Google it. It is also the title of a book. Perhaps you will see that as a member of your family, born in the western hemisphere, we have no reason to "hate".
I think you are judging us from the pervasive mentality of your countrymen which not necessarily the mind of Black Americans, good sir.

True. But you can tell who the actual Nigerian/ Black American haters are by seeing who takes the bait.
Example: A person told a lie by saying 90% of Nigerian fathers are taking care of kids that aren't theirs. I know that's a lie
But it was met within the trusty "73% of Black American kids have no father" which is also not true and used to portray BM as deadbeats. Just because the father doesn't share a house with the mother doesn't mean he's not an active father. The statistics don't give the details on the surface and people know that, so it's easy to twist it into whatever you want.
When somebody responds to BS with more BS, either one or both of them is an actual hater
