I watched your 2023 video and it was great. This 2024 update is excellent! It's so hard to pick with so many options and you have made it much easier. Thanks for the update and all your hard work!

Thank you for a great, simple and to the point analyze. You just saved me hours and hours of testing so I could make a decision which one to use. Thank you and I am going to use that affiliate link. :)
Great job with this. Very helpful. Unless I missed it, however, one glaring area left out that matters alot, is email deliverability scores. That data could very well change the whole rating. With that said, I know that AC, MailerL and some others have very high deliverability scores. So did I miss this and if not can it be added to your already outstanding review going forward?
Great point. I haven't taken deliverability scores into consideration in my past reviews. I will add a section in my future review video on deliverability! Do note that the companies I review are established companies, and it would surprise me if their deliverability scores were awful, but it can't hurt to double-check that. So that's what I'll do next time! Thanks for your suggestion.
It largely depends on your marketing strategy. For simplicity, let's consider two marketing strategies: (1) maintenance and (2) growth. Maintenance involves sending your 2,000 online course customers a weekly or monthly update by email. Growth involves using Facebook ads, webinars, 1-on-1 sales calls, etc., to increase sales for your online course platform. For the (2) growth example, an email tool that supports sales/CRM features would be very helpful for your business. Just reply again if you need more help.
Great, I need to watch you videos again. Such a new and wide topic for me. I start my leaning-platform from zero. I will setup learndash. And I have an exceltable with some hundrets contact. In what product I start with the adresses?
@@MichaelZwahlen It might be best if we schedule a 1on1 call so I can help you find the best strategy going forward. You can email me at info@creatoregg.com to schedule a call.
Hey, thanks for a great video! Super detailed and informative. I have a specific question: Branding is very important. I want a newsletter software that allows me to (through upload or code) apply CUSTOM FONTS for both the headlines and the body of the newsletter text. Other than that, I don't need any fancy features. I will have a signup form on my landing page (provided by the same software or third party like Squarespace, doesn't really matter) and then send out simple e-mails with text. No graphics or pictures, etc. And I don't really plan to sell anything through the newsletter, if I chose to in the future I don't mind doing so through a simple URL link that goes to a sales page. Do you know what softwares offer the CUSTOM FONT feature?
Oef, that's a very specific question I don't have an answer to ... What I do want to mention is that not every email client like (Gmail, Yahoo, etc) accepts custom fonts/shows custom fonts in the emails. In other words, you might have a hard time trying ensuring all email clients (gmail, etc) show the custom font you use in your newsletters. The bottom line, depending on the custom font you want to use (maybe the font you have in mind already is possible with most email marketing tools) it might be impossible to get it to work on all email clients. PS: please use my referral link if you decide to try one of the email tools in my video! Thank you!
Good question. I haven't tried them yet. From my first look, Loops is an email tool for SaaS companies, while Folk is a CRM tool. From the tools I've reviewed Brevo, ActiveCampaign, and HubSpot offer these email+crm functionalities in their tools but how they would compare to Loops/Folk I can't say ... Edit: Just did a quick search on your name and saw you run a Linkedin newsletter. Looks good! Is your goal to replace that with a dedicated newsletter tool?
Hello Robin, thank you for your videos. I have watched a few of them but still stuck in choosing an email software. My main dilemma is whether Mailer Lite offers enough automations for a growing ecommerce product business, or the automations are limited and I will miss out and better go for Active campaign or Klaviyo. Which would you choose? I don's need sms marketing
Thanks for your suggestion. Haven't had the opportunity to try out Flodesk, so I can't really share deep insights, but my first impressions are that it's a cool email tool that might be an interesting alternative for others in the creator-ish scene like Beehiiv, Substack, ConvertKit...
Yes it definitely gives creator vibes! A lot of people have said they have the most beautiful templates and it’s pretty simple and easy to use! Also they don’t charge per email or subscriber.
For 2024, the very best email marketing software includes enhanced automation, tailored campaigns, and strong analytics. Look for technologies that work seamlessly with your current systems and deliver actionable insights to help you improve your email campaigns.
Just tested active campaign as its number one on your list. First email sent went directly to spam. This was on a workspace account all dns spf dkim etc records are correct. The email had no link no images no spam keywords. I used their template and removed everything and sent only text. But it was an HTML email. When i tested text only it went right to the primary folder. But I still can't get the reply to email automation to work and support does not answer unless i send multiple messages. Not impresses so far. Going to test mailer lite next.
Hello! I would be surprised if ActiveCampaign's deliverability tests aren't performing well. You should contact support to ask them what the issue here. You mention that support doesn't answer unless you send multiple messages. I'm unsure what you mean by that. If you sign up for a free ActiveCampaing trial you should have access to email and chat support. Aside from that, AC can be really helpful if you're into 1on1 sales and in need of a CRM. If that isn't you, you probably better of with another email marketing tool like I mentioned in my video. If you need more help let me know! Good luck!
I haven't tested Microsoft. Is it good? By the way, I do read this on its website: The outbound marketing module will be removed from Customer Insights - Journeys on June 30, 2025. And I might not get the funniness but why is it "lol" that I haven't included Microsoft? 😄
@@Creatoregg@creatoregg lol, it's a good product, but it can be better. The move into Real-time is premature because they haven't moved all of the features in Real-Time yet, so gaps exist. It's definitely more costly as well.

What would you recommend for a specific online-Course Platform? Maybe 2000 customers.

I'm surprised you didn't mention lemlist or instantly
