I’m probably C B A from favorite to least favorite this year. I should probably revisit B and C after they open up a little more. Thanks for the review!
I agree with what you have said about this year's batches. Although I would say C is my favorite. The B is a close second. I thought the A batch tasted very grain forward and I got a hay/grassy note that I couldn't overcome. Great review!
I dont mind the front of the palate on the A batch it has some sweetness, lots of oak like you said… what really kills it for me is the finish. You said tannic oak. I get this bitter bell pepper note. Is that the tannic oak that you got? Im not even a third of the way through the bottle. Not sure how I am going to finish it. Maybe I can think of a way to blend it with something else.
Definitely tannic and drying, and never really got anywhere else for me after that. Maybe use it in a cocktail or blend with the other batches and see what that does for you. Don't use a lot of the A batch, though.
Nice review! I thought the A124 was a little funky on the nose and a little tannic and maybe sour oak? Still decent! B524 I thought was a very sweet balanced pour and my favorite of the three this year. C924 was very good and just behind the B batch for me. Cheers!

Great review Scott! Love the B524 and the C924. Passed on A, but B was my favorite too.

I'm never disappointed with ECBP.
Me too, some may be better than others, but they're always a buy in my book. Cheers Chris! 🥃
Same here. Some better than others but I enjoy every one I have had.
