Toothsomes Emporium at City Walk is an incredible restaurant. In my opinion, it's the best value of any restaurant at Universal, Disney, and Seaworld. The combination of atmosphere, decor, food, deserts, and price can't be beat. Great video and thanks for sharing with us.

I know the royal pacific does a Hawaiian luau. It’s a good dinner and great show but reduced fire dancers. It’s because it’s outside but under those roof things. You’ll have to ask about it but it’s a great time if you can get in. I believe Tim tracker made a video about it. It’s also quite family friendly food wise as kids have a buffet table for them and the adults have theirs the only difference is alcohol and food changes that’s all. Don’t worry the staff is able to help if needed. Royal pacific actually has two different pools you have to ask where the other one is. You used the main pool which really is for lazing around and maybe a swim. The other has slides and is more for kids

We’ve just got back, we did a night here (Dec 1st) and completely agree, beautiful hotel but zero atmosphere! Gonna try Hard Rock in October, only a night 😉😉. Orange Chicken is amazing! We need a Panda Express in the UK! We did Hard Rock Cafe for breakfast, highly recommend 😂😂😂

We did to weeks at Disney’s Caribbean beach. Then a week at cabana bay and we were disappointed to. The hotel was nice but had a cold feeling and wasn’t as homely as a Disney resort, though the bowling ally and the pool were very fun and entertaining. Hope you had an amazing time xx

We much prefer Cabana Bay, but just booked Endless Summer Dockside for 2022 to try something different 😊 Thanks for the uploads & tips, though we’ve been a couple times now you’ve taught me some new tricks 👌

Great video as usual. Really good to hear about the different resorts. We’ve only stayed at Cabana & in Jimmys words I would highly recommend it. We all felt it had a great atmosphere & there’s something for all ages & with 2 pools & a lazy river it’s easy to relax there. The bonus is being able to walk into Volcano Bay by the side entrance. The food was adequate but honestly with city walk a short bus ride away that wasn’t an issue for us. You can also cross the road to sapphire Falls for the water taxi or Aventura for the roof top bar! We’re booked for Disney next year staying French Quarter but I’m already regretting not splitting between there & Cabana Bay. X
We definitely want to stay at Cabana bay in the future and you have 100% confirmed it for us with that. We love the food options at Citywalk too. Hope you have a great time next year - do you think that you might book a one nighter at Universal then or are you just visiting the Disney parks? x
The Despicable Three I’m definitely doing Universal as well as we love it there. We wanted to do Halloween Horror nights but the first night is on the day we head home! 😩 I’m trying to persuade my hubby to do one night at a Universal hotel so we’ll see. He’s not that keen on all the parks as we’ve been a few times over the years now but I still love them & I think he secretly does as long as we balance relaxing pool time as well. Luckily an old friend has moved just 45 mins away from Disney so me & the girls can potentially visit more often & cheaper by staying with my friend! X

Definitely give the orange chicken a try Leona. SO good 😍 The Universal hotels are great but this wasnt our favourite but that's not to say it was bad. We are having a great weekend thank you and hope that you are too

We quite enjoyed Royal Pacific., however we never spent any time at the pool. We preferred hard rock, though still to try portofino. Panda Express looks good, even I thought that orange chicken stuff looked half decent. Lesley would just of had the whole bowl of ice cream as her main meal, she is quite fond of ice cream 😀.
Hard Rock and Portofino are in a different league in our opinion. That Orange chicken is incredible. I'm just mad we hadn't tried it before. Definitely one to add to the list mate 👍

Great vlog today. As you said it was the other kids lose not wanting to play with jimmy at the pool. We did one night at RP last year just for the express pass at thanksgiving but only used the hotel to sleep at. Thanks for sharing

Oi! 😂😂😂 My jokes are vintage thank you very much. It wasnt a bad stay by any stretch of the imagination but we just found lacking in a bit of atmosphere. The room and view were both great. Thanks for watching guys 👍
We like it for the opposite reason to you. Now our kids are teens, we love to chill and try and avoid the more kiddie zones. (although a few years ago we'd have felt the same like you). When we've stayed though it's been busier and there's been music and it had a really nice vibe. We are going in September this year though so it will be interesting to see. One big thing for us, we wish there were more food options in RPR. We find ourselves wandering over to Saphire Falls in the late evenings. We wish there were a quick serve here.
Something I didnt mention in the video is we were there for an hour and there wasnt anyone who came to see if we wanted to order a drink like they do at HRH and Portofino. It is a beautiful hotel but I think we caught it on a bad day. Hope you have a lovely holiday 😊

Great vlog as ever , hard rock is on our list for next years trip , we stopped at the beach club and cabana bay on our last trip to Florida , we normally stay in a villa but wanted to try something different , might combine the two next time

Oh my, what a stunning room but if it doesn’t tickle your fancy, it just doesn’t tickle your fancy 🤷♀️ My heart broke when you said none of the kids wanted to play 😩 Now we are dying to try the infamous Orange chicken. We tried the cheescake ice cream from Cold Stone Creamery.. bloody delicious! Scott is highly intolerant to dairy (although he carries on eating it regardless) and it was worth every close call running to the toilet 🤣 Also the gelato at Louie’s in Universal was just dreamy. 🤤 🖤
It was awful seeing him pluck up the courage and then get rejected (quite rudely in some instances) bit we told him that it was their loss. The orange chicken is so, so good and amazing value. You will have to let us know what you think. Enjoy the rest of the weekend guys and cheers for watching 👍

Not put us off Royal Pacific at all Steph and why didn't you get your flowers on arrival? We've stayed at both RP and Portofino and much prefer RP. (Your room at Portofino wasn't a standard room by the way as ours was tired and a little tatty but did have a nice water view). We rarely use the pools at any hotel so it's not a priority for us but if we had a Jimmy it would matter more. Staying at RP twice next year for a week each time for the express and convenience of being minutes from your room when knackered. For me there's not enough to do at Universal in general for a two week stay so we're saving that for Animal Kingdom Lodge. Shocked and disappointed you didn't finish the chow mein Jim!!!
Don't get me wrong, it is a lovely hotel but just lacked atmosphere for us but we know lots of people who love it and have had a great experience. We didn't realise we weren't in a standard room at Portofino as that is all we booked. I let myself down with the chow mein for sure 😂

Hi Melanie. Our absolute fave place is Margaritaville (which we ironically avoided for years 🙈). We also really enjoy Bubba Gumps for the expereince and Cow Fish is a favourite too. Thanks so much and have an amazing time x
I was wondering about Royal Pacific, will have to give it a try. Sorry Jimmy didn't have much fun there. You will have to spend some time at my favourite hotel Cabana bay, 2 pools, 1 slide and a lazy river. We usually walk to the park or catch the boat from Sapphire falls.
We 100% wand to stay at Cabana bay in the future. It looks such a fun resort. We are glad to have ticked off Royal Pacific bit its a one and done for us Ian.

Hi Lynda. We have friends that love Royal Pacific but it wasn't for us. Personally, I'd go for Hard Rock. It is lovely and close to the park and Citywalk, show movies in the pool (hopefully they can still do this) and there is a brilliant waterslide. It just has a lovely vibe and the rooms are fab 🤘
Me and Jim differ a little as he prefers Portofino but I like Hard Rock. We both preferred Endless Summer over Royal Pacific though! 😆 Would love to try Cabana next 👍🏻

Hi Jason - it genuinely is a lovely hotel. The room and view we had were gorgeous and lots of people we know like it more than Portofino and Hard Rock. I think we just caught it on an off day and were a bit gutted for Jimmy that none of the other kids were up for playing with him. You've got three to keep each other entertained so wont have that problem. Enjoy those Express Passes 👌😎

In the UK an adult McDonalds nugget meal is 6 and I remember seeing USA McDonalds nugget meals going to much bigger. And we also have a "sugar tax" on full fat soda! Totally different.

I thought it was a Cocoon themed hotel at first 😉. The view was awesome to be fair and the room was nice enough. I might retire there lol x

Great vlog today. As you said it was the other kids lose not wanting to play with jimmy at the pool. We did one night at RP last year just for the express pass at thanksgiving but only used the hotel to sleep at. Thanks for sharing

Oi! 😂😂😂 My jokes are vintage thank you very much. It wasnt a bad stay by any stretch of the imagination but we just found lacking in a bit of atmosphere. The room and view were both great. Thanks for watching guys 👍

We like it for the opposite reason to you. Now our kids are teens, we love to chill and try and avoid the more kiddie zones. (although a few years ago we'd have felt the same like you). When we've stayed though it's been busier and there's been music and it had a really nice vibe. We are going in September this year though so it will be interesting to see. One big thing for us, we wish there were more food options in RPR. We find ourselves wandering over to Saphire Falls in the late evenings. We wish there were a quick serve here.
Something I didnt mention in the video is we were there for an hour and there wasnt anyone who came to see if we wanted to order a drink like they do at HRH and Portofino. It is a beautiful hotel but I think we caught it on a bad day. Hope you have a lovely holiday 😊

I (Steph) think Hard Rock is the best for the atmosphere and location - cant beat it! I wish we bought the sauce to bring home.
Great vlog as ever , hard rock is on our list for next years trip , we stopped at the beach club and cabana bay on our last trip to Florida , we normally stay in a villa but wanted to try something different , might combine the two next time

Now we are dying to try the infamous Orange chicken. We tried the cheescake ice cream from Cold Stone Creamery.. bloody delicious! Scott is highly intolerant to dairy (although he carries on eating it regardless) and it was worth every close call running to the toilet 🤣 Also the gelato at Louie’s in Universal was just dreamy. 🤤

It was awful seeing him pluck up the courage and then get rejected (quite rudely in some instances) bit we told him that it was their loss.

Not put us off Royal Pacific at all Steph and why didn't you get your flowers on arrival? We've stayed at both RP and Portofino and much prefer RP. (Your room at Portofino wasn't a standard room by the way as ours was tired and a little tatty but did have a nice water view). We rarely use the pools at any hotel so it's not a priority for us but if we had a Jimmy it would matter more. Staying at RP twice next year for a week each time for the express and convenience of being minutes from your room when knackered. For me there's not enough to do at Universal in general for a two week stay so we're saving that for Animal Kingdom Lodge. Shocked and disappointed you didn't finish the chow mein Jim!!!
Don't get me wrong, it is a lovely hotel but just lacked atmosphere for us but we know lots of people who love it and have had a great experience. We didn't realise we weren't in a standard room at Portofino as that is all we booked. I let myself down with the chow mein for sure 😂

Hi Melanie. Our absolute fave place is Margaritaville (which we ironically avoided for years 🙈). We also really enjoy Bubba Gumps for the expereince and Cow Fish is a favourite too. Thanks so much and have an amazing time x
I was wondering about Royal Pacific, will have to give it a try. Sorry Jimmy didn't have much fun there. You will have to spend some time at my favourite hotel Cabana bay, 2 pools, 1 slide and a lazy river. We usually walk to the park or catch the boat from Sapphire falls.
We 100% wand to stay at Cabana bay in the future. It looks such a fun resort. We are glad to have ticked off Royal Pacific bit its a one and done for us Ian.

Hi Lynda. We have friends that love Royal Pacific but it wasn't for us. Personally, I'd go for Hard Rock. It is lovely and close to the park and Citywalk, show movies in the pool (hopefully they can still do this) and there is a brilliant waterslide. It just has a lovely vibe and the rooms are fab 🤘
Funny how the order that you liked the resorts is the exact order of how much they cost!
Me and Jim differ a little as he prefers Portofino but I like Hard Rock. We both preferred Endless Summer over Royal Pacific though! 😆 Would love to try Cabana next 👍🏻

Hi Jason - it genuinely is a lovely hotel. The room and view we had were gorgeous and lots of people we know like it more than Portofino and Hard Rock. I think we just caught it on an off day and were a bit gutted for Jimmy that none of the other kids were up for playing with him. You've got three to keep each other entertained so wont have that problem. Enjoy those Express Passes 👌😎

Honestly, it was our least favourite of the deluxe hotels by some distance but we have some friends who love it there.

In the UK an adult McDonalds nugget meal is 6 and I remember seeing USA McDonalds nugget meals going to much bigger. And we also have a "sugar tax" on full fat soda! Totally different.
