Again and again, you are well able to explain lr/ps issues for me.. thanks. Keep on doing this good work
Basically the first mask selection is just that-- a selection like a lasso selection in PS. Then the intersect "brush" allows you to do whatever just within the first mask selection.
Awesome video Matt, great instructions, you explain things so well!!! Deep Dive Masking course wow I'm there... :) I have growing list of people /that instruct/teach/tutorials etc that I am learning from, I just added you to that list... Thanks for everything :)
Just what I needed👍🏼
Thank you for your clear explanation. I use Lightroom in the cloud, and there I can use an intersect mask, both in the small icon and in the large icon!
Thank you very much, Matt. Great class, as usual.
Crystal and clear … thank you Matt
Thank you. Concise explanation of how this method works.
Very helpful!!! Thanks!!
Great explanation. I found the examples very effective...
As usual, a very clear, precise and useful tutorial. In fact, i just discover this feature one week ago, but this video give me more ideas . Thanks
Thanks again Matt for your splendid instruction. I'm enjoying your Photoshop course and always look forward to these videos.
I think I get it, finally! Thank Matt!
Timely! I was struggling with this today. Thanks Matt!
As always, great, to-the-point tutorial delivered with good humor and enthusiasm. Keep up the good work.
Thanks a bunch for this very handy explanation. It was killing me not knowing.
Hey Matt. This was outstanding! I can't tell you how much I was confused by this tool and you have explained this so well! You have simplified what some continue to "speak over our heads". Thank you and I'm very grateful!
Note that you can hold the OPTION key on Mac (ALT on Windows, I think?) while in the Masks panel, and the "Add" and "Subtract" buttons then turn into a single "Intersect" button, in case you prefer that over the right-click and menu selection method (at least in Lightroom Classic, which is the only place I've used this so far).
Great tip, thanks Charles
Useful Tip!
You sir are very good!!!
Thanks for sharing that!
Excellent tutorial! Heading right over to the next one now!
Thanks Matt, another super helpful tutorial 😊
Thanks for the tutorial Matt!
Matt, thanks for the clear demonstration of the new tool. Here I just thought the “intersection” feature was a way that Adobe used to oppress the masses.
Another really well explained Tutorial of a Complex subject Matt - Thank You
Quick Question: What are the 2 horizontal Colour Hue Slider setting about ?
Kind of surprising that Select Sky does not get the reflection sky too?
Thank you, Sir.
Thank you for making videos.
Thank you😍🥰
Hi. I had a subject (a duck) with its reflection in water: I would like to increase the colors in the reflection. It would seem that intersect would work, especially like the Photoshop intersect section in this video. Would that be correct? How would you do this? Thank you.
Thanks, very helpful. By the way, each time I open Topaz DeNoise, I mean to tell you that I very much like your eagle image on their splash screen.
Thanks!
Thanks Matt. Did you notice on the first image that there was a bright green halo around sweater? What caused that?
Hi. If you look the halo was there before. She’s very backlit. Changing the sweater accentuated it but it was always there.
Thanks Matt, much clearer now.
Question though. When masking there is sometimes a fringe that gets missed and I have a hard time dealing with it.
For example with the girl in the sweater there is a green fringe around the sweater, it is there all the way around, more noticeable on the right sleeve. (see 4:50 in the video)
Is there a way to deal with this?
Thanks
I just noticed that the fringe was there from the very start!! So in this case it wasn't a masking/selection issue....
