The "Scam" is that you picked up the phone. That way they can sell your number on to people that run the real scams and you have allowed them to know they you will pick up the phone. Don't pick up numbers you don't know. if it is someone that needed to really get a hold of you they will leave a message. Hope this helps.
Unfortunately this is exactly correct 👍🏼. So Dave you will now be getting even more calls. If they are legitimate then they will leave a message and you can safely return that call and save that # in your contacts if you expect them to call again. Good luck 🍀 friend cause now that ya picked up it’s gonna get worse. I’ve done it also unfortunately
I store my glass items different than you do but I'm OCD, it keeps from breaking as much as well (not saying I NEVER break anything, that would be a lie) When I list glassware, I wrap it in bubble wrap then I tape a post it note on the outside what it is, if you don't tape it, it will fall off in the tote. I have a few glassware totes and have them marked, ex. cups, glasses, dishes, trinkets etc. this takes up a lot less room than just have 1 layer on those big shelves. Love watching you as usual!!
We went to EPCOT for Father's day. Crowds weren't bad. Enjoyed family time. Hope you and your family had a great time. Happy Father's Day to you and thanks again for the content!
7:15 Couple good reasons for robocalls - first is to see if you pickup. If you do, it's logged as live number and can be added to a phone list that can be sold. Also great great for cleaning up phone lists that have been sold to see if the number is still any good. Second is lots of companies use automated systems to determine if whoever picked up is an actual person or a voicemail. The system may be trying to make the determination, which is why there is no response on the line while it makes that determination.
Drafts also auto delete after 75 days too in case you aren't aware! You have to go in and update the draft within 75 days which will reset the day count! eBay will give you an alert on the drafts page which drafts will be "expiring soon" you can edit all and just resave them and have another 75 days.
Hi @ADHDave! I used to do drafts, but since they did away with the 10 cent fee for a scheduled listing, now I just do that. I try to schedule 1-2 more per day than are going live. So, if 15 are going live, I try to schedule 17 new ones. Then, if I need a day off, or have an emergency, I don't even have to go make drafts live... they go live automatically. You do have to keep track of how many per day are going live, and it is an area eBay can improve on, but it works really well for managing listing.
You need to do a yard sale dave with stuff that's not worth much that you want to off load and not buy anymore stuff until you've got straight again. Great videos
Dave i might get some disagreement from some but my advice is to whoa back on buying and get your unlisted items under control you can utilize listing, whatnot even a garage sale & donations it will open up space for additional listings & bring a little sanity back into your life. I had a reseller episode where now I only make purchases in items that will make me $10 up unless its a bulk buy. I committed if I buy it that it has to be listed within 24 excluding bulk buys.
Dave my husband is a business owner (s corp) and we have individual health insurance . For our family of three , we pay $1530 a month and it's still an HMO type plan. Very expensive.
Insurance is absolutely insane now; and granted I hate what I've gone through, I'm very fortunate to be able to have my family on my VA insurance because I am 100% permanent and totally disabled at no cost. We just need to have a outside dental plan, but it's connected to the VA and discounted.
Hearing about your insurance, makes me thankful I stayed and retired from the air force. My price for a family of 3 is like 54 dollars a month, and 30 dollar deductible when we see civilian doctors, whole family can be seen on nearby army base for free and free prescriptions.
I work with batteries, and with that power chair I wouldnt recommend selling those batteries as they are probably old and have been sitting which ruins batteries. Just thought I'd mention!
Brother David! Can we take some of the unlisted to the trailer, so you have more room? I am going through the same issue at the moment. I am with you on this!
Have you ever thought of taking things to your extra storage --if it doesn't sell right away?? I kow its really hot--but taking stuff out there that has been listed--and then bringing in stuff that hasn't been listed--bbbmight help to get right of some of it. I am assuming its close.
Could be worse my old bosses had health issues and their insurance was around 3k a month. They didn’t offer it to anyone but themselves. It probably would have been cheaper for them if they had.
Before my mother was on Medicare and got a supplement for that she was part of a Christian health care group and it was really affordable and they provided good coverage!
Wow Dave I’m literally doing this very thing but like you I live in the hotter climate so yeah it’s a slower process even with a tent over me & a fan. So slow go
Maybe the golf clubs make the argument that you need to still raise you minimum listing from $15 to maybe 20-50 that way you can offer more discounts on older inventory and move close to your same premise that you make more money if you keep reinvesting the money back in because I believe you are on to something with your whatnot sells model may also work on old inventory because if you buy something for $1 but you have in your inventory for 6months or a year could you make more money by selling it for less then you planned and put the money, time, and storage in a better place
Dave, love your content. You should STRONGLY consider looking at what lease space may be available in your local area to move all of your operations (storage, picking, packing, Whatnot, etc.) I think you've reached the point where your garage is no longer suitable for how big your business has grown (that's a good thing!). Plus, tax benefits AND you get your garage back 😂. Look for space that's minimum quadruple your current sq footage so you have more room to grow. Just a thought!
That draft limit of 250 is simply not true. The system has a limit of how many they are willing to show, but that limit was 1000 IIRC. I have more than 250 drafts in both of my accounts. I had 6000 drafts in my card account 2 years ago, now down to a 700.
I don't comprehend this idea of buying wasteful inventory, having it sit forever and then just discarding it because it doesn't have any real importance or resell value and to follow those steps on repeat is such a horrible cycle and so wasteful when it comes to money and time originally put into sourcing this stuff over the years. I really believe from experience some of this behavior is emotional. what happens is we become collectors first then resellers, owning and having possession of all these different objects brings a sense of security and enjoyment so in order to feed our addiction of sourcing and collecting we have to sell some of those items in order to repeat this emotional cycle of hoarding, collecting, shopping or over sourcing so eventually it turns into a business. I could be completely wrong, anyhow i still do enjoy eating this content up.
Hey Dave, I'm super curious if you qualify for a HSA ( Health savings account). Not sure if your state has that. But here in MN it helped us a bunch at tax time. Talk to your accountant if your not sure
🚨🚨update ...Go to the Flea Market & Liquidate your Not listed inventory...Get cash & Turn & Burn..." Food for thought "...My buddies & I do that it works...Cheers Bubb'a ☕️
Ok so why don't you use the storage container for what you intended.it to be. Then you would.have room for your inventory. Never bring home.sourced.atudf until you are.ready to list it. You have that big container, use.it.
If things are easy to list and easy to ship, I’ll list items under $15. Things under $15 sell very well when the economy is slow and people can’t afford more expensive items.
Hey Dave... you need to put a 24 hr. camera in your garage so you can capture anything important/funny/insightful that may occur when you aren't recording for RUclips! Also helps for security purposes I guess lol
How many videos in a row are you going to let yourself get bitten by free shipping. Why not take the free shipping completely out of your store, you can bring them all up from seller hub in seconds and fix them all in one shot.
ADHGuy, 2 things come to mind watching today: 1) you must not watch your own videos, or even listen to yourself? You’ve said for weeks, it’s too hot in Florida and so you won’t be sourcing for 2-3 months? How’d you think you could move the unlisted outside and back in??? 2) you continually complain about heat and humidity…but I bet it wouldn’t be as bad if you’d cut that gnarly beard? (Or sadly, since you got off the intermittent fasting routine…your weight is up tremendously, that would also magnify the discomfort from heat/humidity). Just trying to help, ❤️ ya ADHGuy

I have 334 drafts and tested what you said about them dropping off. I drafted another and did not loose any.

15:46 watching Dave tumble through this bin searching for this poor walkman reminded me my laundry was finished and to go empty the dryer
Happy Father’s Day everyone
I lost my dad years ago
A friend who was like a dad 13 years ago
Me too…not a day goes by I don’t miss him, think of calling him (until I come back to reality), etc.
Love you dad 😢
Thank you, I’m sorry for your loss!
@@ADHDaveFlips do not worry Dave

I think his plan is to not do any sourcing for 6 weeks
Great job, Dave!
Dave my husband is a business owner (s corp) and we have individual health insurance . For our family of three , we pay $1530 a month and it's still an HMO type plan. Very expensive.
have a huge yard sale or a what not sale, especially the small stuff :)

Great video Dave! ☺️
I do a yard sale twice a year to sell off the stuff that I buy because I like it but never list it.
Brother David! Can we take some of the unlisted to the trailer, so you have more room? I am going through the same issue at the moment. I am with you on this!

Switch the focus from listing goals to sell through rate. Space will free up lol 😆

When it comes to toys you dont want to part with, donate them. That way its more about the joy it brought to a child who received it.
That’s true!
I just made my first international sale. But I never opted in for international sales so how is this possible?? Advise is appreciated!!
Yep. Insurance is incredible/ out of control. Ours is $2500 a month for just hubby and I in our 50’s. 🙄.
Lol, I'm in the same boat you are in... 😢
Happy Belated Father’s Day Sir!
Thank you!

I get scam calls where no one speaks
The scam is it is a call from another country and all the calls added up reduce productivity in this country.
Hey, Dave-How is your diet going?
BONANAZA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good news eBay sided with me on my case
That’s good!
Well i am on holiday again next Monday for four days
Irish country music midweek event
I know all about that health insurance (scam) Health insurance is broken in this country
I need to sell stuff
I know it’s nice to say you have health insurance, but if you don’t get your moneys worth. Health care might be cheaper, out of pocket.
If things are easy to list and easy to ship, I’ll list items under $15. Things under $15 sell very well when the economy is slow and people can’t afford more expensive items.
Why not do a WHATNOT auction with all the items under $15 value. Get it gone fast.
Good idea! I’m gonna do a lot
For Health Insurance,See if putting it in Tina’s name is cheaper “
Good idea.
Part out the power chair just pull off what you can and take the skeleton to recycle trust me 😋🤪😜
I sold beswick horse in 5 secs
My guess with the spam calls is they're seeing who picks up so they can sell a list of good numbers but idk
Exactly
Part it out

Barely? Often canceling orders and shipping late.
