Fantastic !! Loved that show, we were allowed to stay up late only for this on a Sunday … if this wasn't on... bed school the next day. Think my mum and dad were always surprised how quiet me and my sister were when this was on lol. This The Persuaders and Danger Man had the best themes.
Those ITV series of the 60s & 70s - classics . . . . The Avengers, The Champions, The Baron, The Saint, Man in a Suitcase, The Persuaders, Randall & Hopkirk, Danger Man, etc etc.
Theme tunes for the shows in the 60s/70s tended to be either works by Ron Grainer (Doctor Who, Steptoe & Son, Maigret, Danger Man, Man in a Suitcase, Tales of the Unexpected) or Ed Astley (The Baron, Gideon's Way, Department S, Randall & Hopkirk), then there was Laurie Johnson (The Avengers, Jason King, The Professionals) - oh, and The Champions (Tony Hatch)
Great tv series .man in a suitcase . Richard Bradford was great . I even dyed my hair gun metal grey and wore a green top . In my days . Rest in peace Richard sadly missed
Danger Man, The Avengers, The Persuaders, ( I was allowed on occasion to stay up and watch these programmes) and for me as a kid at the very same time, Belle et Sebastien, White Horses and Robinson Crusoe... and the drumming on Stingray!!
Brilliant them tune, a Ron Grainer special. The theme tunes for the ITC shows of the 60s and 70s were nearly always better than the BBC ones during that era.
Chamber + Partners did the titles for a lot of ITV shows of the 60s - Man in a Suitcase here, also Randall & Hopkirk Deceased, and a few of the other ITC shows (Department S & Jason King spring to mind) I may be getting on a bit (69 in June) but the memory is holding out, for the moment, anyway
I remember this opening well but when I first saw The Untouchables I didn't recognise him as the grey-haired Irish cop who has a punch up with Sean Connery.
A nippy little car, but with a propensity for the accelerator cable to snap, as it ran the length of the vehicle, unlike front engined models. My dad and a mate of mine both had one, around the same time coincidentally, around 1974/5. In each case, the cable broke. I got quite good at repairing them.
My Father had a commercial photography studio in London in the 60s and he was responsible for the titles of Man in a Suitcase.
He did a great job!

If that's true that is absolutely brilliant.
One of the best opening sequences to any show I,ve seen including Game of Thrones
john wilson Man from Uncle was better
One of the best programmes ever made, absolute classic!!!!
Better than Spyder's Web imo.
I must have been really impressed with the theme. It was about the first 45rpm single I bought. Still sounds great...and the 45 is still with me.

Great stuff
I have every DVD Box set of every show you mentioned! I love the ITC shows!
@@HemiVic Good on yer....TV series like these now rather few!

Brilliant for its time, up there with Danger man.....

Those ITC shows were the best telly ever, and the themes were somethin' else.
He smoked same cigarette brand as me...Piccadilly filter design de Luxe. One show I decided to smoke when Macgill smoked. Had seven in the hour.

One of my dear mother's favourite shows and actor, sadly i lost her in January.
Best TV show theme song ever.
Oh I don't know about that - I love Strange Report's theme 🙂
From a great era of TV shows.
My uncle starred as Wee Tooley on the Kensington Raceway episode where McGill found the midget assassin in his porridge.
wow
Sex!
Fantastic theme. Then Chris Evans came along & nicked it for TFI Friday...
What a complete t++t he is. This theme, however, is good enough to survive that waste of space.
And so what? If it turned people on to the original theme as a result, what's wrong with the additional exposure.
TFI Friday brought me here
Yes chris Evans liked the theme tune he boot legged it and caused a massive revival of this great theme
Great series. Thé best.
Unforgettable

Another fave
catchy theme tune
Too bad it was only a single season, but that's all it was ever meant to be.
Well yes, although there were 30 episodes, which is roughly equivalent to about 5 series of a decent British cop drama these days.
Yes should have run for much longer, I loved it.
Your father was part of a very special group of creatives. Cheers!

they dont make em like this anymore
That’s true
They certainly don't.
hard as nails was Richard Bradford
no he was always being beaten about.

They gave Richard Bradford a Hillman Imp on this for his character's personal transport.
