Decent video but at 4:36 you don't really explain how and why your x^2-2x-15 can be factored out to (x-5)(x+3). "We want the factors of -15 to add to the factors of -2. How are -5 and 3 factors of -2?
Excellent job explaining this topic. It would be nice to have a follow up that includes graphs to provide context for the domain piece of your discussion :)
Of all the teachers here on the internet that I have found, you do the best job.
These are the best examples I've seen so far. You're not teaching like you think I should already know.
I've been struggling with this for I don't know how long and then you explain it and BAM I ace the test.
Must be nice ☹️
i still dont get it ;_;
Apologies, but at 6:13 how do you get -10 from postive 2 and -4?
2 and -4 are the factors of -8 so that the inner and outer products give us the -10x. (3x+2)(x-4) Notice 3x(-4) + 2(x) = -10x.
@@Mathispower4u ahh ok, that makes a lot of sense.
Your instructions are clear and concise A+.
I can't believe no one ever explained it to me like this back in school.
you do a wonderful job now if only you could please tell me how to factor those past the first problem ;D

3-5= -2. So (x+3)(x-5); FOIL- First Outside Inside Last.
Your teaching is the best! Thanks!
Corona gang!
