The one thing I like about the Griot's Garage Foaming Surface wash is if you use their BOSS Foam Cannon you can put the bottle you have there directly hooked up to the foam cannon and it has a metering tip on the bottom of the pick up tube that perfectly meters the correct amount of product so no mixing! That's a plus and it works well. It doesn't use a ton of product either so it's more cost effective. As much as I love the Griot's which is my go to.............I think it was barely edged out by the Adams. That's some thick foam on the Adams.
I have both of these products and I like both of them for different reasons but my go to foam is Griots garage Surface Wash due to the cost and the effectiveness of the product. Thanks for listening and comparing the two products, I would like your opinion on which one you preferred and why?
Hey Paul. Sorry it took so long to reply. I have to go with Mega foam. It is such an easy product to use when you want super thick foam. I have been using it for a long time with no complaints. It pours easy into the cannon. Has a very pleasant yet potent smell, cleans well, rinses easy and has a low cost per use. Griots has all these same attributes as well but falls a little short on the thick foam. That's about it. Otherwise its an awesome soap. I really am a sucker for the coconut smell it has. Cleans great too. I have been becoming more and more a Griots fan as I test the products. Thanks for watching and commenting and suggesting the Griots
I am not quite sure what the purpose of these examples is. If it’s just to produce foam you could use a dish soap and get fantastic foam. Heck even Dove’s men’s body wash works great 😂 However if you are looking for a soap that not only produces nice foam but helps remove dirt and has a high lubricant then your criteria needs to be reassessed. Also there are soaps that are intended to be used on ceramic coated cars that may not foam well but clean exceptionally well. In this particular case I vote for Griots, but Adams makes some good products. Not sure if you have tried Ethos car soap, but imho is one of the best on the market and very underrated. Keep those videos coming 👍✌️☮️
The purpose is to have an entertaining foam battle so that the viewers can see what each of these products look like on the paint when used in a semi controlled setting without them having to spend their own money to buy and try all of them themselves. From there at least they can zero in on a good product without being totally in the blind and disappointed after purchasing. There are always positive reviews out there on RUclips for each of these products but it’s nice to see them put against other luxury soaps with minimal personal opinions added. I hope that there is at least some value to that. I do use Ethos. I love it. Great pina colada smell. Foams well, slick on the paint and cleans great too. Griots foaming surface wash is a nice product too. I have become more of a fan of griots recently. They make some good stuff and it’s really easy to get. Thanks for watching and sharing your thoughts. I appreciate it. I would explain my overall intentions more in the videos but then the finished vid would be 30 minutes long and I can’t even look at myself that long. LOL.
Thanks for taking the time to respond and the explanation. The Ethos soap I was referring to was their regular car soap not the foam party, which is very good. And again I do enjoy watching your videos 👍✌️☮️
In terms of thickness of application I would definitely say the Adams Megafoam. But the price of the Griots would be tempting. Shame we don't have either readily available here in the UK. Thanks for the great videos
You should test how well they break down dirt and road film. Foam looks cool but if it’s not helping break down and rinsing off the the dirt and grime before the contact wash it’s a waste of time in my book.
I hear you. Thanks for the suggestion. Too hard to put up 20 equally contaminated panels to run that level of testing properly. People would say one was dirtier than the other and that would cause problems. I can tell you that all the top name brand products I am using clean well for sure. If they were the cheapo soaps from the local auto store or Walmart than that would be different. Thanks for watching.
Adam’s is definitely the thicker foam and layers onto itself much better. The other one is probably tied for second best with Ethos Foam Party in my opinion. I’ll be trying Xtreme Solutions Xtreme Suds in my foam cannon today. I’ll let you know how that goes because when it comes to a bucket wash, the Xtreme Solutions is now my favourite soap out of like 20+ car wash soaps I have
@@HawaiiDetailing I just tried the Xtreme Suds in the foam cannon yesterday and the results are promising. Looked just as thick as Mega Foam but at less than half the cost
@@TheCarDetailingChannel I will bring some in for the challenge. Thanks for the suggestion. I have a few good ones that are going to test Adam’s that I will be showing soon. Thanks for watching
With using a foam cannon and a shampoo like Adam's Mega Foam, do you still need to put additional car shampoo in your wash bucket or can you get away with just using water?
Yeah. Nice. I like beadmaker as a lubricant for the drying process. If you use a blower than no need but with a towel it’s nice to spray beadmaker and wipe off. Makes for a super slick drying process. Also tops off you coating underneath at the same time.
@@aaron30569 I prefer adding a topper like beadmaker as a drying aid. Makes the drying process super lubricated and reduces marring and tops the coating at the same time. Works good for Short duration if you wash regularly.
Mega Foam again, not even close. Griots is awesome product and I use a lot of Griot’s products on my arsenal, but on this one, again Mega Foam is the winner IMO. Great video man 👍

Adam's Mega Foam. However, this test would have been better with a dirty vehicle and products applied equally to similar dirty surfaces. By the time Adam's was applied in this video, the side he was working on was already basically clean.

Yes I agree. These are a bit of a luxury item. I have been using mega foam for a long time and I am having trouble finding something to compare head to head with it. It’s worth it for most people but pros have to consider profit as prosumers mostly want user experience and quality. Thanks for watching
Griots garage that's what use at mo still think mega foam just 👍

That griots seems similar to that p&s soap pearl

My vote goes to Griots. Because of cost and performance. I got lucky with $39.99 gallon sale at the Tacoma store.
I really like the coconut smell. Good and slick too. Great deal for 39.99. Wow. Thanks for watching
Adam’s looks more thicker.

Ok. Thanks for watching.
Griots is a Pre Wash..2 different uses.. . Einstein
Are you saying “Griots Foaming Surface Wash” is not a foaming product and is not specifically designed to be used out of a foam cannon? That was the entire basis of the video. Spraying 2 foam cannon soaps on a vehicle. The way you use them is up to you. Sounds like you are a griots fan and that’s great but there are plenty of good products out there.
Mega foam. No contest.
It’s a tough competitor. Thanks for watching and commenting
