It's bugged, even if you do it legit, it only sounds during the eye popping pseudo-damage phase, then it loops back to phase 1 once you drop the plates It's been like that for years
For how sad it may be I’m not sure if it’s the case but supposedly the ost for final shape have been written and recorded so technically his job is done. Still sad to see him go
By far one of bungie best designed fights starts off with you being trapped and being chased by riven nearing the end where phase 2 plays in the raid she’s trapped with you and your chasing her now as you drop down after you do your big dps phase in the starting room this raid with no cheeses is bungie finest The only raids I say is just below it is deep stone crypt kings fall and wrath of the machine but riven is just better overall
The thing is, whenever I watch it, the 2nd phase just stops after you land and phase 1 plays again. Huge let down on Bungie's part was not allowing it to be used in full.

The real title of this track is Cursed Keep of Voices High Action (or Phase 2) There are multiple versions of this track- Normal, Cursed, and Ascendant. This is the Cursed variant.

Since Beyond Light (or maybe even prior to) this doesn't play anymore when going to phase 2, it just hard cuts back to phase one upon reentering your rooms, it's a very jarring cut too. It makes me sad.
man, that's tragic. Phase 2 soundtrack is one of the best in the game imo. I ran my friends through riven legit today and told them to turn up the music, was a little bummed out mid-way through as I noticed that the music just cuts back to phase 1 as you mentioned :(
No I've been running riven legit since it came out. The track never went this far in riven, it has looped that way since day 1. Only the start of this track has ever played when you prepare and drop down for DPS so it's still working as intended. This full track was either from dreaming city missions or shattered throne i believe. People are misremembering because this track frequently gets misnamed 'riven phase 2'
This is the most epic ost ever created , hands down . I cant imagine the raid without it and people cheese the encounter and skipping on such an epic experience . Sad ...

This image screams Leroy Jenkins. Also I came after beyond light and never heard this. I missed out. Pretty sure it’s cause cheesing it bugs the music queues. Still great song
the only part that plays during the riven fight is the rapid violin bit at around 4:00 it swaps back to phase one after that sadly (while you're shooting 6 eyes on the top floor is where it plays specifically)
Master LW would be amazing. Only thing is tho champs ruin master raids imo. If they just made everyone a locked level so you under the cap the whole raid add like a mill or so hp to each boss and somehow fix the Riven cheese no champs needed and you’d have a really good master raid
As cool as riven is I wish bungie designed it around this theme and had it play after 1st damage phase, and that the stupid cheese never existed, good luck ever getting to ever experience this boss legit past week 1 of the raid :(
Coming back to this I do hope we see a variant of rivens theme next season since it’s all about the ahmkaras and the last known egg of riven. We even see one that looks like riven in the promotional art. And the size we see has only been reached by riven that we know of as the rest were hunted and killed long before they grew near as big as riven. Either rivens returning or there’s another fully grown ahmkara that we find next season
Michael didnt need to go *_THIS_* hard. Literally the BEST raid boss song, and it's not even close. And this is coming from a D1 vet. I love Oryx, I love Aksis. Rhulk is amazing, Taniks was triumphant. But this? This beats them *_ALL_* by a fucking mile
Well unfortunately with the removal of forsaken content in February for which queen I think that’s the awoken and the dreaming city story finished unless they bring it back in the future for somthing like a legends raid or the story somehow leads to rivens resarection

The best song in Destiny that nobody will ever hear because Bungie is too lazy to patch a years-old exploit. This could have been the best raid Destiny would ever get, but it falls flat on its face at the very finale because of this stupid bug.
I also agree that its unfortunate that riven has been so easily exploitable for so long but the main problem is that this part of the theme actually doesn’t even play in last wish. Im actually not even sure where it does. The purified version from what i remember plays at the end of one of the rotating dreaming city missions. But yeah, this theme unfortunately doesnt even belong to riven
@@gabrieldiaz6933 it absolutely does not. I beg you to go back to the game and check yourself, the phase transition at the very beginning is the only thing from this track that plays in the boss fight. The forsaken motif that plays during damage phase comes from phase 1.
