  • Listen to a story about Ahad's journey through squash, and then learn via a rally featuring Curtis Malik from the World Team Championships. Malik's use of a three-part disruption strategy is broken down:
Building pressure with a quality two-wall boast from a defensive position.
Anticipating the opponent’s response, stepping up on the T to intercept and cut off angles.
Adjusting technique by shifting grip for early contact and precise execution.
These insights offer a framework for players to refine their skills and improve their strategic thinking on court. The importance of focused training, mental discipline, and embracing the process of learning is emphasized throughout.

I quite liked the personal stories as a sugue to the title content. I missed any timestamp which would have easily allowed anyone to skip ahead but I was good with that. That point #3 of adjusting grip when moving forwards to volley is something I forgot/didn't know about - thanks!

this video almost has nothing to do with the title, you talked about your own squash career for 5 mins then showed one clip of a volley where the guy isn't exactly owning the T and volleying anything lol

Appreciate the feedback. Stories of personal experience often help others relate to difficulties they're also facing, and at times can help create "aha" moments in my experience. That being said, did you not find Malik controlling the mid court, strong forward, and taking the ball early? All the best,
      - Ahad

@ yea he was controlling the rally but he wasn’t “volleying everything”. I’m not really saying you weren’t correct in what you were talking about in the video but it just had nothing to do with the title which is confusing and I’m sure will make people click off the video early. Just my two cents lol

Always enjoy your content but agree with bruiser. I think the idea about t position and grip change would have made an interesting video alone…at what point in the match can you afford to be really aggressive with T to set up your volley.

I appreciate the feedback. It's interesting because I've heard from several folks that they appreciate hearing about my experiences, because they relate to them. That being said, I'll definitely use different formats to add value for everyone.
Did timestamp appear underneath the video such that you could forward past the story? Please do let me know. That's an important feature allowing folks to get right to the analysis if that's what they prefer. Thanks again for your ongoing support,
      - Ahad
