Anybody pronouncing pwned as pawned is either a non-native speaker or an idiot. The legitimate debate is whether it's powned or owned. There are legit reasons in both directions, I add the P because you lose the connotation if you don't. But, pawned is just wrong, it's probably mostly non-native English speakers as pawned makes literally no sense in this situation.
Excellent tips! The paywall is tops for low-paid researchers! One cannot possibly pay for each and every of the hundreds of articles one has to read or the one-off out of an issue. Thanks!!
Great video-One thing you did not touch on is the fact that when you load an article in Print Friendly, you can hover over sections of the article (including pictures, links, blank spots where ads were....) and then a trash can comes up and you can delete that section so it doesn't print. That is an awesome feature
I love that the first website’s header starts with the first characters typically used in SQL injection attacks, one of the more well-known methods responsible for these types of data breeches.
*Thanks for the tips!* I'm having a rather hard time getting things of the ground due to my content being so niche at the moment. But maybe this will get the ball rolling a bit. Good luck to everybody trying to grow their channel as well. Have a nice day!
Logical and consistent file-naming is my best friend when it comes to finding a file - but I can see how this would further improve my ability to find that elusive file.
In order of what I will use most often to never: 1. Print Friendly 2. Free Articles 3. Camel Camel Camel 4. Have I been pwned 5. Terms of service 6. Internet Archives 7. This person does not exist Some great tidbits of information in this video-Thank you 😊
How to bypass most paywalls: delete your cookies and refresh the page ;-) especially on sites that offer you a couple free articles and after that request you make an account or pay for access: delete cookies, refresh get another couple articles for free, *repeat*
thank you very much for this. Easy sub to make. Now I can access those articles I have had to miss out on before. And those headshots were sooo spooky.
pwned = owned It's a old gaming term. People would spam you been owned, when killed. Server started kicking spammers and it was replaced by pwned. Started back around 2002. Any old gamer should know this.
But, if you don't like the "Terms of service," what can you do? Not use it? Probably not. Will people stop using Google or Amazon because they don't like the "Terms of service?" That's why I don't bother to check it...
Hey Scott, Where did you find these websites? Brilliant insights, shortcuts & the benefits of these websites. I really like Print Friendly, 12 foot wall, This person does not exist, Terms of service, Camel, Camel, Camel. Many Thanks mate
Just as a matter of accuracy ''pwned'' is NOT a spelling mistake, it is a ''typographical error''. ''Spelling mistake'' implies that the person does not know how to spell the word involved. They have just hit the wrong one of two adjacent letters on the keyboard and not noticed. I would pronounce ''pwned'' as ''poned'', if I absolutely had to.
Very useful video for me. Do more like this for the public. My heartiest congratulations, for the work you have done. My humble request to you is that, can you make video on, about Article (Content )Writing Free AI Websites.
First site is one of the best services ever created. Popular Antivirus companies use their API as part of their "dark web monitoring" or "hack alerts". It also checks your phone number and will tell you if any services such as FB has been breached. It also let's you sign up for live alerts.
Dude...no bad comments or criticisms here. Simply want to say "Outstanding". Thank you for sharing the information. As for myself, I found it very useful and informative. Take care and stay safe. JT
Thank you for this helpful video. Can you please tell me how to get the yellow circle around my mouse pointer? That would be especially useful to me. Thanks again.
I use print friendly all the time, just to save paper! The headshot site is interesting. I've needed a headshot for years, but I tend to break cameras.
Awesome! Sometimes I create emails or in the past but then don't use ... Be cool if a website you could find all your emails so you could clean up and /or delete. So if you know of anything!!
You are not quite right about "this person does not exist". The website uses a generative adversarial network (GAN) and it's more sophisticated than simply compiling components of reference images. Please read up in it. It's very interesting.
The actual pronunciation sounds like "spooned", but disregard the use of the "S", and therefore is "pooned". This means you have been taken advantage of, or screwed! I don't know what the origins are, but we used to say this all the time years ago.
Want more websites that you should check out right now?

Thanks so much for highlighting this bonus feature!
Yeah. That’s a killer feature I’m surprised wasn’t mentioned.
I'm also surprised it wasn't mentioned, especially becuase it was visible in the video. You could see the trash cans.
This is very possibly the simplest AND easiest (non-voice) video I've ever had the SHEER PLEASURE to have been able to find!
THANK-YOU Simpletivity!
